(1/3) Excuse me for randomly bursting into your asks, haha, but I just need to flail to someone who loves Olivarry about how, after that episode, an AU where Kara mistakenly assumes Oliver is Barry's boyfriend would be the actual best and make the world a brighter place, Y/N? Like, Barry gently tells her that it’s not that Oliver doesn’t like her, he's just like that with everyone, but…Kara can’t NOT notice that he’s not like that with Barry at all, that Barry is apparently his one exception

(2/3) She sees for herself how protective Oliver is of him, how *supportive* and encouraging he is, how he drops the stone cold façade and gets emotional in defense of Barry the second he’s hurting over the rest of the team doubting him, how he prioritizes his loyalty to Barry over saving the president, the way they’re always just naturally gravitating towards each other, not to mention the adoring looks she’s noticed them shooting each other, or overhearing Barry calling him ‘Ollie’

And I’m just imagining how flustered Barry would be when she refers to Oliver as ‘your boyfriend’, and Kara realizing through Barry’s reactions as he’s explaining to her that that’s not what they are that it may not be true, but Barry clearly WANTS it to be, whether he consciously realizes it or not, and ahdjafgajf, it’s so cute

Okay so here’s the deal.

Since this is kind of last minute, we’re not going to keep you guys hanging and waiting for themes or anything. Instead, like we did with our valentines event, we’re just going to go with an overarching theme. So, we present to you, A Very Olivarry Christmas 2016.

We know that Christmas can be a busy time for everyone, so we tried to frame the dates as close to Christmas as possible without it being over the actual Christmas weekend. The best way we thought to do this was to make it mid-week, as we felt that the weekend before was a little too short notice for everyone.

This will be a three day event, which will take place 20th-22nd December. We’ll be accepting and reblogging Christmas themed works that are submitted over the course of those days. To take part, all you need to do is post your work over the course of these days, tag with #olivarrychristmas2016 and we will reblog it.

Over the next week we’ll start reblogging Christmas themed prompts for inspiration, but what you write is entirely up to you! As long as it’s Olivarry, Christmas themed and your own original content, we’ll reblog it. You’re also free to send in asks/submit prompts that you’d like to see, and we’ll publish them as suggestions/inspiration.

Imagine a superflarrow power swap AU. Oliver Queen, Star City's fastest man alive. Kara Danvers, National City's Green Arrow. Barry Allen, Bari-Zor Ell, Central City's Superman.

This would be amazing for an episode! One of those “oh-crap-something-isn’t-right-with-the-world” AU episodes. Where only Oliver, Kara and Barry know that they’re not in their right roles. 

Best thing about it is the thought of Barry not realising at first. But he’s like “…why am I running slower?”, but then he gets to a certain speed and he nearly trips over a hydrant so he kind of jumps to avoid it except he starts soaring, and what the hell? 

Kara wondering why she’s so weak. She’s not used to this. It’s not like she’s unfit - she’s strong in comparison to other people, but she has human strength, and she can’t fly or take any shortcuts, and oh god why is it so difficult to open the refrigerator door? (I’m also laughing at the idea of Barry trying to get used to his powers and ripping his refrigerator door off by accident).

Oliver constantly fucking with Diggle, because he knows how much this type of stuff freaks him out. He makes sure to time it so that he’s holding something, or he’s in the middle of a trivial task so that he jumps and drops everything. 

And of course they discover the highs and lows of each others’ powers, and team up to set it right.

Oh my god TRAINING SESSIONS where they train each other on how to use their powers (and Oliver helps to teach Kara archery techniques). The old shoot the apple on the head technique - Barry is, of course, the person with the apple on his head.

“Aim lower. Lower. Just a little bit more…” “Um, I’m not sure…”

“If she aims any lower she’s gonna get me in the eye.”

“You’re a man of steel now, Barry, you’ll get over it.”

Olivarry Christmas 2016

So, this is purely speculation at this point. I know the fandom’s been kinda quiet lately (though we’re hoping after the crossovers we’ll get more people), but if we were to hold an Olivarry Christmas event like we did last year, would you guys be interested? 

Likes/reblogs/comments/signal boosts would be appreciated - if there’s enough response, we’ll make more concrete plans and start setting it up in the next few days?
