She froze a little when he touched her, making it a lot easier for him to drag her to the middle of the room. He probably wasn’t aware that he was still holding her hand, but she was hyper aware of it. “Um….I know the basics, I guess, but I’m not much of a dancer…..” She sighed, smiling. “Okay, fine…….I want Vixen’s parts. And Yuhye’s. And maybe Ginny’s too…..”

He swung her arm a little, grinning. “That’s fine--I’m a great dancer so I can help you out.” He sighed deeply, glaring at her playfully. “I wanted Vixen’s part, but I guess that’s fine....Um...I’ll take.......Sara’s part. And Yewon noona’s.. Aaaaaand....Yumin’s I guess--we can share the rest. You ready?”

She pressed her cheek to her knees, her head turned to look at him as he talked. “But what if we suddenly vanished or did shit in our next comeback, would we still be legends? What about if we did something so bad that we stopped being supported. Would you still call us legends?” Yuhye moved her hand to knock on the hardwood floor, “I mean knock on would none of that happens, but what if?”

“I mean, you guys are to the point that you could probably release a song of...I dunno, fart noises for four minutes and people would still loop your videos on youtube just so you could get millions of views. And, personally, as soon as you hit that level, you’re a legend in my book. UNION is almost there. ACE too. But yeah, I’m sure no matter what happens, you’ll still have tons of fans. You guys are a legacy group by this point.”

“That means I would have been eleven…” Haein said thoughtfully, a small smile on her lips. “I loved that song so much when it came out. I sang it so much, it drove my brother crazy. It’s still one of my favorites,” she said, turning to Jinsoo, a faint blush on her cheeks (she was a huge fan of his too. He’d told her to act normal around him, like he was a regular person, but it was hard). “They really are. The history books will never forget them.”

Jinsoo grinned--he’d followed kpop star that season, and she’d been his favorite. He wasn’t starstruck like she was, but he was still excited. “Yoooo, we should perform it together, right now!” Jinsoo said excitedly, jumping up and pulling her by her hands to the middle of the room. “Do you know the choreo for it? Whose parts do you want to do?”

He tilts his head “Aren’t all parents like that?”

“I dunno. That time I met Sola’s parents they seemed pretty nice.”

“Don’t you dare call yourself old,” despite her stern tone of voice, she still let out a chuckle at the end. She knew they were both just kidding, but man, did it make her feel old.  She had been working at MK for five years now, and she could hardly wrap her mind around that.  “You’re making me seem like a grandma, kid.”

“Hey! You are not a grandma; If anyone at the company is, it’s Sarang noona. Or Ginny noona....don’t tell her I said that, though. She’s mean. She’d probably bake me into a pie and murder me and feed me to her fans because she’s so mean,” Jinsoo said with a little giggle.

“Shit….they debuted before I even knew there was such a bustling entertainment industry over here…” Zumi murmured–it was an exaggeration, but basically true. She knew there was something. She just hadn’t been interested. Half the time, she still wan’t. “They are. We’re friends with legends. That’s the coolest shit ever.”

“That sounds like a you problem, not a me problem,” Jinsoo teased, nudging his friend with a grin. “I’m friends with legends. I dunno about you. Do you even have friends?” A shit eating grin was clear as day on his face as he sat up a little, sticking out his tongue.

Misook hadn’t meant to stick around, only stopping by the practice room to pick up a bag that one of her girls had left a few hours before, but at the sound of the familiar song, she just couldn’t help herself.  She hummed along to the lyrics, nostalgia flooding her system, “Twelve?  Do you really need to make me feel so old?  I was eighteen!”

“Yep, twelve! They debuted four years before me.....wait, that means I’ve been active for three years. That’s a long time too. I must be getting pretty old myself....” Jinsoo teased, grinning. Sure, he’d been performing for three years, but he debuted when he was sixteen--he wasn’t old.

He nods lightly “I could do it- but if I get hit, I’m suing.”

“I think you’re fine. Most conversations with my dad would make you want to hit him.”

After over an hour of listening to nothing more than the television on the wall and his own panting, Jonghyun was more than happy to welcome someone new into the room.  He was never really one to protest company to begin with, unless they were a complete stranger, but it was even better after a period of silence.  He navigated the machines with ease, making his way across the room to properly greet the younger, “Yeah, it’s no problem.  I’m taking a break anyway, so I have time to kill.”  Leaning back against a treadmill, he let himself grin at Jinsoo, “Getting jacked for a comeback, or just trying to stay in shape?”

“I mean, I’m a great person to kill time with. I’m a little biased, but I think I’m fantastic,” Jinsoo said with a little laugh, running a hand through his hair with a grin. He loved being around people, no matter what he was doing really. It made him happy to have someone to talk to--he was very sociable and if he wasn’t talking to someone else, he’d probably start talking to himself. He shook his head a little. “My last comeback was December--I’m probably not going to have one for a little while longer. Especially with the comeback schedule as packed as it already is with all the subunits,” Jinsoo pointed out with a little shrug.

Yuhye sang along to the song, even though it was their oldest song she still remembered all the lyrics and even the choreography. It was the song that changed her life and allowed her to do the thing she loved for a living. The brunette moved over to where Jinsoo lay and sat down beside him, drawing her knees to her chest as she wrapped her arms around her legs. “I don’t think we’re legends, we have at least another three and a half years before achieving that status.”

Jinsoo sang along too--he knew all the words to most of their songs, after all. Haven may not be his bias group (he had a bit of a different style) but they were still one of his favorites, and he counted himself very fortunate to be able to work alongside them. He glanced over at Yuhye, shaking his head. “I’d call you legends. I mean, usually I’d wait for more years to factor it, but you guys are just so good that it doesn’t matter.:

Hasik paused, thinking for a second. “I was…….fourteen I think. Probably. It was two years before my debut, right? I was probably fourteen….” he replied, scrunching up his nose. “They’re great. I hope UNION can be as good as them someday. .I mean we’re good but……they’re legends.”

“I dunno, maybe? Either way, you were older than me,” Jinsoo pointed out with a little shrug. “I think you guys are right up with them too. Not quite legends yet, but only because you don’t have as many years behind you. A little time will change that.”

Jinsoo grinned, humming along with the music blasting from the stereo as he laid facedown on the practice room floor--Haven’s debut song. He sighed, flipping onto his back as he muttered, “I was twelve when this song came out. twelve. Haven really are legends, aren’t they?”

“I haven’t been in the zoo forever. Let’s go to the zoo… I think it’s time you reunite with your family.”

Jinsoo giggled. “I’ll pay you if you repeat that, but in front of my dad this time. The look on his face would be priceless.”

For as often as the dancer complained about having to visit the gym, it would be a lie to say that he didn’t enjoy working out.  It was a way to isolate himself while still having some form of social interaction.  He could run on the treadmill while catching up on a drama with whoever took the machine next to him.  He could lift weights and have a casual conversation with his spotter.  Or he could even lay on the floor, drenched in his own sweat, and enjoy the silence of the room, just as he was doing right now.  For the last two hours, he had been alone in the company gym, and just as he decided to take a water break, someone decided to grace him with their presence. Shooting up from his position on the ground, he eyed his new company as they walked toward one of the bench presses.  Jonghyun scrambled to his feet, wiping his forehead with a towel, “Hey, wait.  Let me spot you.  That thing is dangerous.”

Jinsoo, like most people, thought exercising was kind of tedious. It was something he’d never quite understood when people were really into it. He did it, though. He had to. He was a soloist. One who, since becoming of age, took off his shirt quite a bit onstage. If he wasn’t in pristine shape, he’d get nitpicked, and that was something that not only he wouldn’t stand for, but his parents wouldn’t either. He was finally standing up against them and finding his own style musically, but he wasn’t totally independent of them yet. And he’d rather not get scolded for letting himself slip or something stupid like that. He smiled when Jonhyun spoke up, honestly glad to have someone there. Working out with someone else was a better way to make the time fly. Plus, he really did need a spotter. “Hey, thanks! I appreciate it.”

“Hyung, I still don’t get why you’re making me do this...” Jinsoo whined.

He wasn’t sure how the idea had even come up. He was hanging around, bugging Hyosang as per usual. What did anyone expect? Hyo was his favorite cousin, and Jinsoo was kind of an ass. He loved nothing more that to joke around and bug the hell out of people. He knew that deep down inside, the producer love him. 

Jinsoo’s whole life head been training, though, and Hyosang knew that. Jinsoo had been curious when the older male had proposed going camping for a night, but now that they had driven out to the site and Jinsoo was starting to get chilly, he was kind of regretting his decision.

“Why can’t we just set up a tent in your living room and pretend to camp or something? That’s, like, basically the same thing!” @mkhyosang

She paced back and forth the hall of the MK floor until locking eyes with a familiar face. A look of excitement overcame her face as she ran towards them with a shout. “Hey! Hi! Remember that one time I did that thing for you but told you don’t worry about it? Now’s the time to worry; I need your help!” Jamie stopped before the other, giving them a wink and a wide smile. “So, what do ya’ say?”

“I remember nothing of the sort!” Jinsoo replied, lying loudly and snickering to himself, throwing his hands up to stop her from running into him just in case she didn’t hit the brakes in time. He grinned at her, keeping up the joke, “I’m strong and independent, don’t you know. I’ve never needed help from anybody in my whole life! I think you might be thinking of another devilishly handsome idol, friend.” Sure, he was down to help her. BUt not without having a little fun first.

She glanced over and glared at him evenly, reaching over to pet his plushie as if it were a real dog, rolling her eyes, though she couldn’t keep a straight face. In seconds she was giggling, shaking her head. “Lies and slander. I do not look like a gerbil. If one of the two of us had to be a gerbil, it would be you,” she told him, pushing him gently with both hands. Taking a handful of popcorn and throwing it in her mouth, an idea came to her, one that made her grin. She took more popcorn and pulled his shirt out by the collar, stuffing it down. Sola let his collar go and patted his chest, proud of her handwork. “Would a gerbil do that? Huh?”

He laughed at her petting of the stuffed dog, petting her head softly in return with a ridiculous smirk. She was probably going to bite him or something, but it was worth it. He was having fun. “You do too! Or a little hamster. Ooooooh, yeah! I’m the gerbil, and you’re the cute little hamster. And we’re freaking cute. The absolute cutest.” He scrunched up his face, pushing her away and reaching down his shirt to retrieve some of the popcorn, chewing on it with a goofy grin. “Yep. Don’t they hide things all over the place? I think that’s a very gerbil-y thing to do.”
