An Account of Recent TMBD Fandom Drama
There's been a lot of vagueing and misrepresentation about recent events in the TMBD fandom. This is a record of certain events in the New Tideland discord server as I saw and remember them, from as objective a standpoint as I can manage.
I'm going to lay out several major pieces of fandom drama chronologically, though the discourse around each of them tends to refer back to previous events in the fandom, and I'll jump around a bit when I feel is useful.
I'm doing this from a fresh anonymous blog because I am too busy to deal with the irritation of having people hunt me down on discord to argue.
I was and am a member of New Tideland. I am not a member of any other murderbot fandom discords. Therefore, I can only speak to what I saw, and am not privy to events or conversations that happened elsewhere.
I am not a moderator of NT. I have no insight into mod decisions other than what's publicly available. I also have no ability to see edit history or deleted discord messages.
I watched all of these events happen, and was involved in some of them. Everything I write here is a firsthand account. In certain cases, I was corrected on minor details (eg. the hellthread slowmode was 2 minutes, not 3 minutes). In no case will I report as fact something that I did not personally witness, though I may speculate and make it clear that I'm doing so.
I'm redacting names of everyone but current NT mods, except for instances in which the behavior of specific individuals is relevant.
November 2025: NT Murderathin Wanksgiving
Wanksgiving was an event that ran for 7 days between 11/20/25 and 11/27/25 (with some wiggle room for timezones). During that one week span, 172-178 (a few were deleted or removed from the collection at some point, so it's hard to count) anonymous MB/G and MB&G fics were published to the AO3 collection.
Murderathing Wanksgiving was conceived on 11/19/25 when a NT member saw this tumblr post and lightheartedly posted in the NT nsfw-mbg channels about doing something similar. This was the first instance of the string "Wanksgiving" in the NT server.
(At the time I took this screenshot, Piper was a NT mod, but he was not a mod in November 2025.)
Immediately, regulars in the nsfw-mbg channels came up with the idea to post anonymously and make it a game to impersonate each other or guess who wrote which fic. The collection was accordingly made anonymous to facilitate this, to be de-anoned midnight 11/27/25 (in some timezone I no longer remember).
No NT mods were involved in organizing, planning, or running this event.
There was a proposed tumblr tag and an AO3 collection, but no formally agreed-upon AO3 tag.
No announcement was made to a wider audience, either in other NT channels or on other servers or platforms. I can't speak to everyone's motives, but I believe it was a combination of factors.
Nobody thought that the event would be nearly as high volume as it was, given the tight timeline and ad-hoc nature.
There was a desire to keep all mention of MB/G content out of general channels.
The event happened so quickly that nobody really had time to think.
The first few days were relatively slow, as expected, given the lack of preparation. Sometime on 11/22/25, the floodgates opened.
On 11/23/25, as the fic count passed 40, a unified event tag was retroactively decided upon and participants encouraged to go back and tag (or re-tag) their works; most, but not all fics had already been tagged some variation of "Murderathin Wanksgiving" or "Murderathin Wanksgiving 2025."
All fics produced in the event were included in the Wanksgiving collection and properly tagged for ship content (namely, MB/G or MB&G). However, there is no way in AO3 to filter by collection rather than tag.
Between 11/26/25 and 11/27/25 the collection gained some perma-anon fics that were seen to be some combination of bad faith entries/troll fics, and pointed responses to those. There were also two vaguing/discourse fics that weren't submitted to the collection.
Three were written by the same author, who later de-anoned; AO3 user rocketsocket. Unknown to all event participants, and that user had published no other fics.
Sex Positive: I don't remember the content of this one very well, but it was also (at posting time) tagged with NT Writing Workshop and New Tideland Discord but not Murderathin Wanksgiving 2025. The gist of it, IIRC, was "you're doing this fandom wrong by writing so much smut."
Social Grooming: tagged as underage/noncon, as well as with the NT Writing Workshop and New Tideland Discord tags (which no previous works had done), and not with the agreed-upon Murderathin Wanksgiving 2025 tag. Garnered some controversial "how disgusting" style comments from AO3 users that were also unknown to everyone in the NT nsfw-mbg channels. Two (three?) short chapters, posted a few hours apart.
Anal Perimeter: untagged noncon, fairly egregious. I don't remember what other tags were on it; I do remember a discussion in the NT nsfw-mbg channels in which an event participant requested that if anyone in the channel had written it, they add a noncon/rape warning.
Response fics written by event participants:
someone is wrong in the feed: a somewhat condescending reply fic from a Wanksgiving participant, in which Murderbot is angry about explicit Sanctuary Moon smut and is taught about AO3 filters by Gurathin. Written in response to Sex Positive, I think.
Die Mad About It: Another reply fic. I don't remember who wrote it or what the content was; I believe it was about as inflammatory as Sex Positive.
There were two other anonymous discourse fics, Fandom Event and losing the plot.
Fandom Event was not added to the Wanksgiving collection, but was clearly an irritated commentary on the ongoing event.
losing the plot seemed to be generally expressing exasperation with the whole situation on all sides. I don't remember if it was initially added to the Wanksgiving collection and later removed, or if it had never been added at all.
Late 11/26/25, one of the NT mods stepped in and asked for any of these discourse fics to be removed from the collection or deleted. At some point, this same NT mod must have been made a collection mod. The author(s) in this channel quickly complied by deleting someone is wrong in the feed and Die Mad About It.
The collection mods also removed all perma-anon works from the collection and updated rules to specify that those were not allowed in the collection. Shortly thereafter, Social Grooming, Sex Positive, and Anal Perimeter were all removed from the collection and fully de-anoned. They may still be up on AO3. Fandom Event and losing the plot are still up, not in the Wanksgiving collection, and under perma-anon.
There were also two more initially perma-anon fics by an event participant who didn't want to orphan the works but also didn't want them associated with their profile. This author de-perma-anoned the works as the event moderators requested, and was revealed at the same time as the rest of the event participants.
On 11/26/25, a NT member who was not participating in the event came into the NT nsfw-mbg channels to point out that the event had been disruptive to the fandom and made people feel "unsafe" because of the sheer volume of fics within a few days. They admitted to doing so as a proxy for other people in the fandom, some in NT and some not, who did not feel comfortable speaking up in person. Participants asked why the tagging was insufficient; the member cited some combination of
The tag had not been canonized until a day or two in, which made it harder to search for (though filtering by it still worked).
The unified event tag had not been announced before the event began.
One or more people had been using a custom AO3 site skin that caused all works tagged MB/G or MB&G to be hidden, and the amount of fics published at this time meant that they would have to click a page or two down before they saw any fics at all, because of the vagaries of CSS and AO3 site skins.
Some authors were concerned that their updates or posts would not be seen or receive attention, since it would be pushed quickly off the front page.
People who had blocked certain event participants on AO3 would still see their works pop up, since everything was anon.
In response, the event participants agreed that next time they would take steps such as
Deciding and announcing the unified event tag beforehand.
Posting a pre-populated AO3 url with the tag filter already there.
Posting a CSS site skin snippet that would exclude the tag.
Posting a tutorial on how to edit the timestamp of published AO3 works so that authors could move their post or update back to the front page after the event was over.
Two streams of discussion happened in the next few weeks following Wanksgiving. The first: participants played their guessing game, which I will not detail because it was entirely self-contained within a thread in the NT nsfw-mbg channel. The second: more noise complaints.
The same member that had previously brought concerns into the channel during the event brought them up again, with the view that the event was overly disruptive, significantly impacted the fandom, and should have been 5 days instead of 7.
The event participants and organizers generally agreed that they had made a mistake in not announcing the event and publicizing a tag for exclusion filtering earlier, and reiterated that they would do so in the future. They did not push back but also did not necessarily agree that it would've been reasonable to cut the 7-day event to 5 days.
Participants also felt that there was a double standard compared to the Drabble December event that occurred immediately afterwards, which ran for a month and produced more than 400 works during that time. The output of Drabble December in the first week matched that of the entire week-long Wanksgiving event.
Later, there was also some private grumbling that events such as Mensah & Murderbot March were not asked to have a unified event tag, despite some of the participants in that event being the ones who were angry that Wanksgiving didn't initially have a tag. That event was far lower volume than either Wanksgiving or Drabble December, but had been heavily promoted in many channels across NT. Despite this, some NT members submitted works to both Wanksgiving and Mensah & Murderbot March.
I am vaguely aware that during this time there was some chatter in other discords or platforms complaining about this event or saying that it was poorly run; I don't know the specifics. I do know that there was and is some lingering resentment about the event and how it was received, on both sides.
May 27: #MB-Mensahcule Channel Request
On 5/27/26, a NT member asked for dedicated #mb-mensacule channels. The justifications given were
#mb-mensah was inappropriate because of Platform Decay spoilers, and some people didn't want to see other members of the mensahcule shipped in #mb-mensah.
#mb-humans was inappropriate because it was unsafe.
The NT mods pushed back on the grounds of low volume, and the conclusion was that mb-mensahcule shippers could create threads in the #mb-humans or #mb-mensah as needed (and mensahcule discussions that excluded Murderbot in #human-shipping) until there was enough proven interest to justify a channel.
There was some public disappointment in the #mb-mensah channel, but the requesters seemed to accept this judgement.
MB/G had not been mentioned by name, but it was fairly obvious to me that the reason #mb-humans was seen as an untenable place for this ship was because that channel's rules allowed mention of that ship. This was also discussed in #mb-mensah as a reason to request the dedicated #mb-mensahcule channels.
I did a search later to check, and I remember one of the mods later confirming, that Gurathin had not been mentioned in #mb-humans for several months. Three posts made in #mb-humans and eight posts made in #nsfw-mb-humans during the calendar year 2026 contained the string "Gura" or "Gurathin," as of the discussion occurring on 5/27/26. One of those was a promotion for Mensahbot September. The few mentions of him in other general channels were similarly rare and minor.
An hour later, another NT member complained about the implicit assumption that #mb-humans was "unsafe" because of the potential presence of MB/G content. Some members of the server, who were unaware of the preexisting tension surrounding Gurathin or MB/G fans, were confused by the apparent abrupt shift in topic.
The conversation continued for a while with people from both "sides" initially referring to the ship or character in oblique terms only, though Gurathin was eventually named. The main points that were brought up were that
Gurathin fans and MB/G shippers felt that they could not mention either Gurathin or the ship in channels other than the dedicated "quarantine" channels; either the MB/G shipping channels or the character-specific thread in the character forum. This was despite server policy, because mention of the character had been historically met with demands for trigger warnings/spoiler bars, negative commentary, and requests that the conversation be moved to a more "appropriate" channel.
People who disliked or were triggered by Gurathin or MB/G felt that it keeping such content spoilered or contained was an appropriate sccommodation in the face of strong triggers.
Meanwhile, in the #mb-mensah channel, there was consternation that the discussion had moved on so quickly from the request for a #mb-mensahcule channel and onto Gurathin. There was a feeling that the conversation was centering a "white man" at the expense of a Black woman.
Aside: Gurathin and Whiteness
There has been disagreement over whether Gurathin, the character, can be called white. The actor is of Iranian descent and has pale skin due to vitiligo; the whiteness (or not) of people of Middle Eastern descent in the United States is a contentious topic.
Regardless, detractors of the character often say that he is white; some other members of the fandom, especially those of mixed race, find the flattening of "pale-skinned" into "white" to be offensive and hurtful. In the interest of not rehashing this, I'm going to report what I remember from all participants in this and later drama without further personal comment on the subject.
The discussion became heated and was paused by moderators around 4pm. A few hours later, the NT mods posted a bulletin stating that discussion of Gurathin was acceptable in all channels, and that MB/G was acceptable in all appropriate shipping channels.
Between here and 6/6/26, things were mostly quiet as far as I could tell, though hurt feelings lingered in smaller channels and private chats for a few days. In #terraforming-station, some requests were made for more options on how to contact the mods, perhaps anonymously, or by allowing multiple members to join one ticket. Moderators said they would take some of these under consideration, and that members could DM them for any reason, including sending them cat pictures.
Context: NT Channel Creation History
This data was compiled a few weeks later, in the later parts of the "Hellthread" situation. However, I'm pulling it up here because it's relevant to this discussion as well.
For this message in particular, I'm linking the discord message in case people want to verify the links for themselves.
The granting of channel creation requests did not seem to be historically affected by the presence or absence of either Mensah or Gurathin in the ship.
The same member who asked for MB/Mensah also asked for MB/Ratthi and MB/Gura/Mensah. The only one that received any pushback or discussion was MB/Ratthi.
MB/Ratthi was the only recently-created ship channel that got any mod pushback before eventually being created.
Context: Preexisting Gurathin Quarantine
Well before May 27, there were already several threads expressly created to house discussions about Gurathin, that did not have counterparts for any other book or TV character.
Talking about TV Show Gurathin: a thread off the broader #mb-gurathin ship channel, created as the show was airing to contain discussion of the TV rendition of the character, since some members preferred not to see that in the main #mb-gurathin channel at the time. This quickly became the de-facto not-necessarily-shippy thread for talking about TV Gurathin, despite being in the shipping section of the server.
Gurathin Neutral to Positive: a thread created off one of the general TV show channels in order to contain TV discussions that might mention Gurathin in a non-ship context, tangentially or not, in a positive or neutral way. This was created as a way to avoid triggering or upsetting members in the main TV show channel.
Gurathin Critique: a thread created off the same general TV show channel to contain negative takes about TV Gurathin in particular. This was created partially in the hopes of reducing friction by cordoning off a place where Gurathin dislikers would not encounter pushback for their opinions.
I am not going to rehash this either, but by this point most NT members who enjoyed discussing Gurathin, in either a shippy or non-shippy manner, rarely ventured into other parts of the server. Even multishippers who wrote, for instance, both MB/G and MB/ART, tended to avoid the NT #mb-perihelion channels. I can think of about three members who regularly frequented both the general channels and the MB/G channels at that time.
It was also a clear pattern to me that while discussion of ships such as MB/Mensah, MB/ART, MB/Three, etc. was considered appropriate in all-purpose shipping channels such as #mb-humans or #nsfw-mb-general, MB/Gurathin was not. There was also, to my observation, the implicit understanding that it was acceptable to ask for discussion of that ship in particular be moved to its specific channels if it ever came up in a more general space.
That is to say, there was an obvious social split within the server. It was well known and occasionally discussed among Gurathin fans and MB/G shippers, and had been raised in #terraforming-station at least twice. However, I don't think many regulars in other parts of the server noticed. Whose fault, if anyone's, this split was, I will not re-litigate.
June 6 - June 14: Hellthread
First off, I'm not going to summarize everything that happened here between 6/6/26 and 6/14/26. The thread is still there; anyone motivated enough is free to spend a few hours reading it themselves. Rather, I'm going to focus on what the New Tideland moderators did and didn't do, and (from my point of view) why they made those choices. I'll also caveat that some of the posts here were edited, or deleted either by the members who made them or by the moderators, and I don't have access to those records.
Also, from here, I'm going to refer to two people who participated by screenname and without obfuscation, because their behavior and how the mods responded is a major part of this.
On 6/6/26, NT member Ripley made a long post in #sanctuary-moon, NT's main general non-ship on-topic channel. This post began with an @everyone (which didn't work, because server wisely prevents users from pinging all 1.6K members) and accused the moderators of racism, misogyny, and misogynoir for their decision not to create a #mb-mensacule channel a week earlier. It also accused Gurathin fans of being inconsiderate for wanting to discuss him in general channels, as doing so made other members feel unsafe and triggered.
Specifically, the post flatly called the character a rapist, and restated that asking that MB-Mensahcule be threaded under #mb-humans was unreasonable because of that.
I'm not going to summarize it all; it's at the top of that thread if anyone wants to read it. It was, by wordcount, about evenly split between accusing the mods of racism and sexism in favoring Gurathin over Mensah or Farai, commentary on server architecture (threads vs forums vs channels), and complaining about Gurathin or Gurathin fans for (respectively) rape and discourtesy/misogynoir.
Mods removed the posts from #sanctuary-moon and moved them into a new thread in #terraforming-station, with a 2-minute slowmode. The thread was originally named "Discussion about Shipping Channels"; at some point during the next hour or two, at the request of several members in the thread, it was renamed to "Discussion on Server Bias and Culture."
This was the first mod action that caused controversy here; some members felt that this discussion was being hidden or silenced by being threaded, while others believed it inappropriate to have attempted to @everyone with discourse involving accusations of fictional rape in a general, sfw channel.
Ripley then attempted to @everyone again and was reprimanded by the mods.
Soon afterwards another user, MiraculousSpectacular, requested that "known Gurathin defenders" not speak over others in this discussion.
This user, MiraculousSpecatular, was unknown to me. I had been fairly active, or at least lurking, in NT for about a year, in both the general and the shipping channels. Until this thread, I had never seen this user before. Even at the time, I was concerned that they were a troll of some sort, and checked their profile and server history. They had joined in January 2026, and had not posted a single message until 6/6/26, in this specific thread.
At the time they posted this, the only substantial participation from people I recognized as regulars in any of the MB/G channels were two of the mods, out of the 6-7 mods active in the thread at that time. One MB/G channel regular had posted two short comments pointing out that it was contradictory to request that Gurathin stop being mentioned when the original message referenced him extensively as an example of server bias.
In any case, after about four hours, the thread was locked by the mods. The rationale for this was that most of the NT mods were in the United States, and the conversation was too heated for the one mod that would be awake for the next twelve hours to handle alone.
At that time, the conversation was somewhat fragmented into several topics.
Bias, misogyny, and racism in the server, either on the part of moderators or members. The mods asked for examples, specifically ones that did not center Gurathin; this was then seen by some participants as the mods themselves centering the character.
Whether this conversation should be moved back into #terraforming-station. The mods eventually declared that no, it would not.
Gurathin. When the thread was locked for the first night, none of the "known Gurathin defenders" that frequented the MB/G channels were active participants in the thread, other than two of the mods. Ripley, MiraculousSpectacular, and some others expressed frustration that Gurathin kept being "centered", despite having started the thread by extensively discussing the character and other fans' attitudes towards him.
Moderator behavior. Some members took issue with the tone of some of the moderators; for my part, I thought that some of what was said by non-mod members in that thread in the first day was already borderline grounds for a temporary suspension or strike.
The next day, the mods reopened the thread and laid out some rules. They would continue to lock it at around midnight EST and unlock it around 7am EST every day, until the thread was finally permanently locked on 6/14/26. Also, sometime either on the first or second day (I don't recall exactly when) the mods did create #mb-mensahcule and #nsfw-mb-mensahcule channnels.
Over the next two days, there was, to simplify, a lot of wank in that thread. I'm skipping most of it in the interest of preserving my own sanity, again to focus on what the NT moderators actually did.
Specifically, with regards to disciplinary actions, the following things happened.
Mods suspended MiraculousSpectacular for (I think) posting discourse in #sanctuary-moon again despite repeated warnings to keep it in the thread. That post is no longer there, so I can't confirm, but MiraculousSpectacular later admitted to doing as much.
Ripley then forwarded messages from MiraculousSpectacular to the thread while MiraculousSpectacular was under 24h timeout.
Mods banned MiraculousSpectacular for (I think) suspension evasion and Ripley for (I think) helping MiraculousSpectacular evade a suspension.
These actions were met with concern by some members in the thread, who wanted more transparency around what had happened to MiraculousSpectacular and Ripley. Mods pushed back, their position being that it would be a violation of privacy and dignity to publicly discuss disciplinary actions taken against server members.
In the posts Ripley forwarded from MiraculousSpectacular, MiraculousSpectacular also admitted to having three accounts in the NT discord, information that made several members feel unsafe. Prior to that, I also saw them
Personally attack another server member, in a way I thought would've been grounds for mod action even in isolation.
Cast a conversation happening in #nsfw-mb-gurathin as malicious and competitive; the exchange was someone wishing for more new fic for the ship and other members reply that they were actively working on it.
Repeatedly bring up perceived favoritism towards Gurathin as an example of sexism and racism, then claim that it was due to racism and sexism that discussion of the character was overwhelming the thread.
Based on all of this, I am now quite convinced that MiraculousSpectacular was a sock or troll. I have my own theories, based on some linguistic quirks, as to who they really were. I will not discuss those theories here.
I believe what eventually came of this was the moderators agreeing to be more transparent about server rules in the future, specifically about what behavior would warrant a strike or a ban, though they maintained that they would not talk about actions taken against specific members.
On 6/8/26, mods requested that people stop talking in hypotheticals or "I know some people think X" or "I heard some people experienced Y," and only present cases of racism or bias that the poster witnessed or experienced firsthand. After that, the thread remained silent except for mod announcements locking and unlocking the thread for the rest of the day and most of the next.
In the evening of 6/9/26, a NT member who had previously not participated in the thread made a post stating that they were upset by the initial posts and early discussion that happened in the thread; namely, that they felt that referring to scenes in the book or show as "rape" was minimizing the experiences of people who had actually experienced sexual assault.
This was followed by several supportive statements, agreement from many corners, and the general realization/consensus that MiraculousSpectacular, at least, had not been acting in good faith. The mods, at this time, seemed to come to the conclusion that they had been too lenient about offensive things that had been said upthread.
How it (Eventually) Ended
A few hours after this, another member of NT that I had never seen post before asked that the thread remain open for them to share their experiences, as a Black fan. Personally, I do not believe this person was a troll or sock, like I now think MiraculousSpectacular was; I checked and found that they had posted 20 times in the general channels over the past few months.
Mods told them that they could edit the post that they had just made even after the lock, and locked the thread for the night. The member did not edit the post.
The next day, 6/10/26, the same member posted saying that they felt uncomfortable sharing their experiences in such a fast-moving thread, especially since the previous request that people only share firsthand experiences was not being followed. A mod replied saying that they wouldn't close the thread until everyone had their say, and that they could take their time.
Between 6/10/26 and 6/13/26, not much happened. A few server members expressed concern that the member who had spoken up would not feel comfortable commenting in the thread or in a ticket. Mods stated that those, or a private DM with a mod if that was more comfortable, were what they could offer, and that the thread would remain open (with nightly locks) through Sunday 6/14/26.
That member never posted again after 6/10/26 despite being notified several times that the thread was open and that they had the floor.
Late on 6/13/26, another user, who I did not recognize but who had made about 20 posts in the server over the past few months, posted something to the effect of "everyone should reflect on their internal biases," did not present any particular new information, and left. There were a few more posts dissecting this, and then the mods finally and permanently locked the thread.
There were, in my judgement, three actual credible instances of biased or problematic behavior called out in that thread.
A NT member had posted something making light of sexual assault in a sfw channel, unspoilered. Another member saw this and was upset by it, but did not feel comfortable saying something at the time. The member who made the post promptly went back and spoilered it, and the moderators expressed that the post had not been appropriate for that channel.
There had been some discussion of System Collapse in which some members were disappointed at the lack of agency given to the colonists, compared to the amount of time spend on the corporates. They felt that this was an example of centering the Western/colonizer viewpoint. Another NT member took issue with the negativity and complained; a mod had quickly stepped in and told them that the critical discussion was allowed and that the complaint was out of line. This conversation was later referenced in another channel in a way that the participants of said conversation felt was disrespectful.
Haikubot, a server bot that had been installed in the server for a few months that would quote users when their posts came out to 17 syllables, was seen as possibly discriminatory towards members with less fluency in English or with disabilities around wording. This came up previously in #terraforming-station, and the bot was eventually removed after a long discussion. There were complaints that the bot should've been removed immediately without the discussion.
Most of the other "biased" behavior boiled down to accusations that the mods overly favored Gurathin, a "white man," and thus were more willing to create shipping channels for ships involving him. I consider this disproved by the channel creation stats presented earlier in this post.
There were also many accusations of racism and exhortations for everyone to reflect on the internal biases that would contribute towards the popularity of MB/Gurathin, or Gurathin as a character. Personally, I believe there is an interesting conversation to be had about systemic bias in society, media, and fandom; I do not think that accusing fans of racism or misogyny for enjoying or writing a specific ship to be reasonable or actionable.
The assertion that the character has committed onscreen rape and thus should be treated as an inherently triggering topic, I find absurd. It is fair and valid to personally find any character upsetting or triggering for any reason, or to have divergent interpretations of any character. I do not think it's fair or valid to imply that other fans are insensitive to the topic of sexual assault if they don't share that interpretation.
In any case, during and after this thread, the moderators posted a lengthy to-do list and pinned it in #terraforming-station. Most of the actions listed involved process and documentation; making clearer rules about when and how shipping channels would be created, simplifying the #bulletin-board channel, adding better channel descriptions, opening mod applications focusing on non-US timezones, explaining how tickets worked, etc. They also listed the creation of a learning channel for people to share resources about bias, racism, and misogyny, which had been requested sometime early in the thread.
Since then, a few of these changes have gone into effect. At least one new person has been added to the NT moderator team. Mods posted an announcement explaining how channel requests would be handled, and opened a thread for members to ask questions about the process. There is now a public list of moderators, and mod screennames have an icon next to them, making them easier to identify.
More has happened in the fandom since then, but that, to the best of my knowledge, sums up the major contentious incidents that occurred in New Tideland between November 2025 and June 2026.
