#TasteTheBern: Could Bernie Sanders get an ice cream flavor named after him?

Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen has clearly thought about this. 

In an interview with MSNBC’s Kate Snow, Cohen revealed his idea for “Bernie’s Yearning”, which contains mint chocolate ice cream with a chocolate disk on top: 

“The disk of chocolate represents the 90 percent of the wealth that’s gone to the top 10 percent over the last 10 years. … You take your spoon, you whack that big chocolate disk into a bunch of little pieces.”

My books have yet to arrive, which has me feeling very impatient and pouty, but here’s a video my lovely friend @mmmsteak sent me a while back. That’s right, its the TRUTH about hymens. I think all of the info in this video from CollegeHumor is incredibly important, however if I could pick one line to really emphasize, it’d be “Physically speaking, virginity doesn’t really exist.”

I thought the day would never come when I’d hear another women share this sentiment. I personally agree with this statement very strongly, I think we as a society have some very unhealthy notions about virginity, especially women’s virginity. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying invalidate anyone’s “first time”, no matter how you define it. If it was special for you, if it was a positive experience, great, that makes me happy! My point it, there are some really messed up ideas surrounding virginity and a person’s “sexual status.” Your worth is not determined by whether or not you’ve had sex, or how much sex you’ve had, or anything else along those lines. Any message saying otherwise only hinders people from having positive sexual experiences.

okay so any kind of gift is difficult for the discerning crew member pocket knives are great. tool kits of any kind. DRAFTING RULERS. I worked with a girl that was given a bright pink XLR cable which was pretty fucking cool. Anything from the q2q comic website would also make an awesome theatre gift.
