Hello fellow birblrs!

So on my days home from college, I place Mocha's cage near an open door (it has a screen so there's no escaping dangers!)

Anyhow, recently she has began tweeting small bits of songs/melodies really randomly. The whole year that's she's been my child she never had any interest in singing apart from her scream, tiel tweet, and flocking call.

Well after very carefully listening to her we were able to recognize one sound she was making, and that sound was of the Northern Cardinal.

My question to all of you is, do any of you have a cockatiel who's taken a fancy to wild bird songs?

Today we were learning how to play with foot toys and tolerate being out of the cage without being directly on a person. Kiki recognized me and tried to step up right away…and fell on her face because she didn’t wait for me to put my arm out for her. 

She can almost say “hello” and “step up” but she’s not quiiite there. 

Can you believe she’s only 10 weeks old?
