Start from the beginning
âDuck!â Valkyrie yelled, swooping over All Might, just barely brushing his bangs as she kicked the villain fighting him. He leapt after her, both landing in sync in front of the main villain.
âSurrender now, villain. Your fight is over. Because I am here!â All Might declared. Valkyrie glanced behind him trying not to roll her eyes. A flicker of debris caught her eye.
âBehind!â she shouted just as All Might surged forward. She stepped behind him sweeping her wings wide to connect with an invisible foe. He shimmered into view, dazed and she jumped to her advantage, knocking the villain out. She took a step back to meet a familiar back. He glanced back at her, grinning.
âIâd say thatâs a wrap, Ms. Valkyrie!â All Might laughed, offering a hand. She took it and he lifted her up to his shoulder. She perched casually there, waving at the crowd. She saluted and laid a hand on the back of his neck.
âShall we?â she murmured out of the side of her smile.
âNeed a lift?â
âPlease!â she laughed, âThank you for your support! Weâll catch you on the fly!â
All Might offered a hand for her to step into before launching her into the sky. He leapt after her, laughing.
They sailed a few blocks over, until he landed on a roof, looking up for her. She circled down, carefully landing in his outstretched arms. He went to set her down, but paused.
âThatâs a fun exit. We should practice that,â she laughed, hands finding their place on the sides of his face. He rumbled out a sigh, closing his eyes at her caress. Suddenly she pushed back, jumping out of his grasp. He snapped back into battle mode, looking around for the threat.
âHelicopter, 3 blocks down,â she muttered, fluttering her wings in annoyance. He relaxed and sighed.
âThis isnât going to be easy.â
âMaybe we should work on not being together post fight. Maybe try to leave in different directions?â
âI already hate this,â he growled, nodding toward the stairwell behind him. She hid her wings and followed him, disappearing into the dark.

Last month I was in the ER, the most vulnerable emotionally that I've ever been while putting myself in the hands of a stranger. That the intake doctor had a lanyard heavy with Pride pins mattered.
