So My Lady Surprised Me With An Early BDay Gift & Copped Tickets To Mexico City, Mexico. Usually Im Not One For Surprises But I Gotta Admit, This Is Something I Could Get Used To Lol. So Being That This Was My 1st International Flight I Had No Clue On The Procedures. Long Story Short, We Missed The 1st Flight & Had To Catch The 1st Flight Out The Next Morning. So We Took The Overly Optimistic Perspective & Quickly Realized We’d Ultimately Have A Few More Pesos To Play Around With In Mexico City.

The Highlight Of The Soul Smoke Fest (IMO) Def Had To Be Trouble’s (@TroubleDTE) Set. The GIANT Raw Cone His MMB Homie Passed Through The Crowd Could Have Easily Satisfied Just Based On Aesthetics Alone! But Even If, By Some Rare Chance, You Wasn’t High When Trouble Got On The Stage, He Def Had Enough Energy (& THC) Pumping To Leave The Entire Crowd Stoned By The Time He Walked Off.

The First Lady Of #1017, Asian Doll (@AsianDoll) Came To Rep For The Lady Smokers At The Soul Smoke Festival. But She Certainly Showed She Could Hold Her Own With The Fellas Too!

@yunggleesh Made Sure He Had The Boof Pack & Plenty Of WATER At The Soul Smoke Fest! He Also Brought Out The Newest Members Of Mo Kill Records, FlyGuy Twan(@FlyGuyTwan)  & JayT(@JayT1800) AKA Da Water Boyz. They Def Had The Fest Smoked Out.

Post Work Vibes

So I linked up with Nicole last weekend & she was telling me how exhausted she was from  work that week. So after she vents to me about her day, she asks me whether or not we’d be keeping the same shoot theme. Initially,  we were supposed to shoot Saturday morning & the theme was supposed to be “Wake & Bake”. I was recovering from the flu & couldn't get out of bed to save my life that morning. Since it was already well into the evening & she was fresh from work, I decided to go with a “Post Work” vibe. It seemed fitting.

Nicole was a natural lol. Midway through our conversation she kicks her shoes off & starts unbuttoning her pants. Had I not been looking up at her I would've missed most of the shots. After a few frames & camera adjustments I had the lighting where I wanted it. I forgot to mention how much of a stoner Nicole is, she pulled out the whole kit on me. She let me hit her vape pen, I was one & done man. All together the shoot was cool, getting stoned while doing it was the perfect bonus.

So 2016 has definitely been a good year for Babyshowers. Before Imani booked me for this one, I already had done 3 showers & a reveal party before June. Each one has definitely been different in their own way. This shower was a game changer! It was a Babyshower Brunch!! If you know me well enough, you know I love a good brunch. The vibes were good and the food was great, overall it definitely was my favorite shower this year. 

Congrats to Imani & Donald for their baby girl!

“Mamba Day”

Real friends... take pictures of their friends... on their Birthdays! When my homegirl Ching hit me up about doing her BDay pics last week (Sep. 15th), of course I was gonna be down! We linked up around 10am the day of the shoot. After we pre-rolled a handful of jays, we got right to it. We ended up using two locations plus an outfit change for this shoot. She had been plotting on this bando for a while now for the 2nd spot. I actually shot this same location twice in one week. All in all, what better way to spend a day with a friend than taking a bunch of pictures & smoking all day??

I linked up with Suni last week to grab some brunch from Torrie’s Diner in the Shaw/Howard area of the city. We both knew of the nearby abandoned building by the University, I hadn't been most of the summer. So we decided to check if the building was still accessible. Once we were in, it was pretty much just another day at the office from that point.

Stranded With a Stoner...

Most people exercise caution on Friday the 13th. Some get all caught up superstitions, while others just refrain from leaving this homes all together. Apparently, Suni thought otherwise, what we thought would just be a scenic session turned into us being stranded. Any other time something like this happens I would be pretty pissed, luckily this time I was in the company of a stoner. While we waited for some type of road side assistance, Suni pulled out a jay that definitely helped us forget we were stuck out there.

When the homie P (@ParadyceINC) hit me up to book a shoot for his clothing line we started brainstorming some ideas that would best fit his brand’s motto, “Escaping the real world”. I knew just the perfect location to compliment both the motto, and the model.

So when Juanique hit me up about doing a Lauryn Hill inspired shoot the first thing that came to mind was a classic 90′s rooftop, cityscape setting. I knew the apartment building between U Street & Adams Morgan would provide us with the perfect background. We even lucked up with a dope view of the Monument.
