im convinced that people on reddit have never interacted with a dog for more than 5 minutes honestly
redditors when a dog acts like an animal and not a perfect robot:
like yes if a dog is constantly pulling then that is a problem that needs to be addressed. most pet dog owners never really teach their dogs leash manners and that is not a good thing
but I've never met a dog that would NEVER pull. like, it's still an animal with a mind of its own, there are situations where even the most well behaved dog will tug on his leash. that is completely normal.
#love my old trainer whod be like yea sure on the street you guys walk with a short leash command (not heel just. close)#and when youre in the forest or on a walk For Your Dog then yes its ok if they pull a little. like oh my god let them be curious for a bit#obviously the latter was also not “should pull wildly” but just like. oh i want to go there or whatever.#my dog walks nicely on the leash like. 90% of the time though#he was always good on the leash but we had to Reinforce that a few years ago lol
