@yeet-dab pointed out on my last post that I called Glimmer “Glitter” like a dumbass... idk how it happened, the file was named correctly, but I’m so glad they pointed it out because otherwise I just. would never have noticed. i’m just too dumb
Mock magazines for She-Ra!
I’ve been making these since She-Ra season 1 and I’m so excited for season 2! They’re not available as prints bc Redbubble dislikes fan art, but I might sell prints or a zine in the future....comment if you’d be interested

Professional commission work: 400-550 bucks Tumblr commission work: 70 bucks
some of you: OMG UR COMMISSIONS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE WTF it’s almost like you value your time >:( not cool dude
yall this is the saddest day of my life

If you are in a place to raise your prices, do it.
If you already have a bunch of people who regularly commission you, and you're worried about losing those customers, you can raise prices only for new clients. Or you can raise prices for everyone, but those few special select clients (that are easy to work with, or commission you a fuckton, or who donate to your patreon, or whatever) can keep their old prices on the DL.
Even if you don't think you're that good. Even if you don't think you deserve more money than you're charging. Because when you charge low, you undermine the market. It's so easy for clients to say that you're overcharging when there's someone else who only charges $10. Artists in my city (and it's an average size city, not a huge metropolitan area and not a particularly hopping art scene) charge between $60-90 per hour. You're inexperienced? Cool, just charge $60. But not $10, not even $30.
You might lose money for awhile. You might not have a lot of clients. But we all have to work together to get prices back up to where we deserve them to be.
*If you're doing emergency commissions, you shouldn't feel bad about keeping your prices low to get clients. But it'd be better for you if we all raised our prices because then you could have higher emergency prices :)
