i get so fucking angry every time i play a video game and it has a dazzling night sky so full of stars you can scarcely see the darkness of space between them and i think about how that’s literally what the night sky looks like in real life right here on planet earth and yet I’ve never once on my life actually seen it with my own two eyes because light pollution has turned even the sight of the stars into a luxury

tags saying “you could see it if you go to x place” yes i could but only if i had time and money and means to travel which is what i mean with it being a luxury. tags saying “I grew up in a poor country with no streetlights so I saw them all the time” you have hit on something else about this whole ordeal which frustrates me to no end namely that getting to see the stars is a sign of luxury until it isn’t. either you have the means to go somewhere remote to see them or where you live doesn’t have the means to block them out in the first place which although good for the sight of the sky in practice usually means the area is just poor as shit. i’m definitely not wording this with enough nuance and people who know what they’re talking about more than me have probably said smarter things about the topic but like you get what i’m saying with “i hate how something as simple as ‘getting to see the stars’ is both a luxury and a sign of poverty” i hope

western kentucky tornado relief

hi, it would mean a lot to me if yall shared this post. last night (12/10/21) a historically massive and destructive tornado tore through four different states. the hardest hit area was western kentucky. mayfield, a town about 20 minutes from my home town, was completely leveled. a candle factory there collapsed with 110 people inside, only 40 have been rescued and the last live recovery was from 4 am this morning. the death toll in kentucky is expected to be at least 100 people.

So when you defeat enemies with violence, everyone’s max HP goes up a little bit. Most of the characters get +2, Susie sometimes gets +3, Noelle always gets +4.

There’s also an upper limit for each character’s HP. For example, Kris’s is 160, Susie’s is 190, and Ralsei’s is 130. Noelle’s is 999.

Throwing in my 2 cents, this might just be a coding oversight, Kris, Susie's, and Ralsei's health are all what they also become if you level up from the dark fountain (except Ralsei's? Might just be a typo above cause Ralsei is 140) , so that's the max they can get in this chapter. Noelle has no reason to have this set max health for this chapter as you can never see her health after you leave the Cyber world, so since she has no set max, it goes up forever till it reaches max 999.

I bet if we get Noelle in a future chapter, this will most likely debuff her health if u got it up to 999, down to her set max that she will then have.

Yeah I made a typo in the original post, ralsei should be 140

regardless I don’t think you could get Noelle up to 999, enemies dont respawn so you can’t really grind, but it’s just interesting to me that she doesn’t have a set progression rate like the other characters.

Someone actually did tag a way to grind Noelle up to 999, might take a while but it could happen!

Also like I said, I don’t think she has one cause unlike Susie and Ralsei, you can’t see her health after the Cyber World. what’s the use of setting a max health/set progression rate for now. I bet in chapter 1, if there was some way to increase character health, same thing would’ve happen with your team cause in Chapter 1 you couldn’t see your health after the Dark World, Toby usually likes to take short cuts on things that aren’t relevant at the moment (Like the chocolates in the lightworld, if you eat them, your health doesn’t go down by 1, it just auto sets to 19 lol) So it just might be a thing he’s saving to code later lol.
