📚Here is my list:

The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.

"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.

"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.

"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.

"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.

"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.

"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.

"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.

"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.

Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.

As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are more expensive.

For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.

Those are the ones I can recall.

So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.

I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.

First day of life up until 6th grade 

Jumped all the way to Freshman year of High School

Then I cut my hair Junior year, why did I do that

Slowly it started growing back and then….

I finally felt comfortable to express myself (the picture on the left was my debut)

At this point in my transition I am 6 months into HRT

A year on HRT

Over a year and a half on hormones. My transition hasn’t been the clearest path but I am so happy that I am on it.

At this point I am 3 years into my Hormone Replacement Therapy. I’m thriving. 

These pictures were taken days apart and I am 3 and a half years into my medical transition (The picture on the right was also posted by Instagram on all their major social media handles attached with an interview I did with them for International Women’s Month)

During this time I was 4 years into HRT. Clearly living for it.

I am currently 4 and a half years into HRT, 5 years into socially transitioning, 6 years into when i first came out to my community around me and I’m loving life more than I ever thought I would.

My mom’s friend was out shopping when a (very not asian) woman came up and started berating her for not wearing a mask. Asian businesses in my area are suffering. Some people are refusing to interact with anyone who looks Asian.

I don’t understand anti logic? Like, it’s so… flawed. 

If you ship it, it means you support it in real life

No it does not. Shipping means different things to different people. To so some people it is a reflection of their morals, to some others it isn’t. That’s the trick! Everyone interacts with their fiction on different ways!

Personally, i ship things that i think could have an interesting story together. I don’t ship things because they would be morally correct in real life, i ship things to explore whatever the ship in question has to offer. 

The thing is, since everyone interacts on different ways with their fiction, you can never base your opinion on someone purely on the fiction they consume. I thought this was common knowledge but apparently it isn’t.

It’s normalizing abuse, incest and pedophila

To normalize something, you need more than just fanfiction and fanart. Fandom, it’s  only a small part of the big world, nothing is getting normalized, calm down.

We would need a LOT more reach to do that. Maybe if we were the media but we’re not.

Some fics get only 100 reads, some others get 1000. Either way, those numbers are small compared to the rest of the society.

And you also can’t ignore that fiction doesn’t magically change someone’s morals.

Look at me! I’ve read a lot of incest and i still think incest is gross! 

But what if someone sees it and they think incest is OK

As mentioned before, fiction isn’t gonna suddenly change the way you perceive the world. And if it did it’s either because 

a. you were too young to interact with that content. In which case you SHOULDN’T be reading it in the first place. Where are your parents?!

b. you have a mental problem. in that case, i can only suggest you get help, take care of yourself, and do your best to get better.

The thing is, im not gonna stop writing because someone MIGHT get the wrong idea. My content was never dedicated to those who can’t handle it. I don’t write for children and i don’t write for mentally unstable people. 

People like that are always gonna exist. And if they don’t get bad ideas out of my fanfics, they will get them out of somewhere else.

But the children!!!1!

I would like to elaborate—

Why is it that antis only attack small creators? Stories like Chinese Handcuffs exist, which include a step-father molesting his underage daughter. Or Romeo and Juliet? You know, one of Shakespeare’s most popular works, where Juliet is 13 and Romeo is 18? Why are we over looking these things? It’s almost as if it’s just easier to pick on kids on the internet than to try and censor media…

Now, I’m not saying bullying is their goal. In fact, I believe most antis have their hearts and intentions in the right place, and just want to help others. But their methods are harmful, and no one is being helped. They’re just hurting themselves and others.

Also, survivors. I can speak personally—I went through something trauamtic and used a non-con ship as a way to cope. And I can say, those posts that say “people who ship/like rape are terrible!! But if ur a survivor ur ok :)” are insulting as Hell. Just because I went through something, I’m suddenly treated different? And it doesn’t even matter. You already said those people are terrible, and that’s already been registered in my mind. The bullshit “not surviviors” is just insurance. And what about those who aren’t survivors? You know, the majority of people who create that type of content so survivors have something to consume? To read?

But Fiction affects Reality!!

No. Fiction may influence reality. It’s not guaranteed. It’s a maybe. And when it DOES influence reality, it’s not a 1:1 ratio. You act as if somebody reads a murder novel, they’ll go out and kill somebody. No. The most appropriate example I can think of is middle schoolers who watch anime and act really edgy (I knew one). Obviously watching anime influenced that, right? But they aren’t actually going out and killing people, or bullying others. They just adopted a more emo persona as a result. And even then, those who watch anime wont always change their personality. Most won’t, probably! It’s mainly impressionable kids, which non-con, incest, etc. Fics aren’t for. They’re tagged on AO3 as explicit; 18+. It’s not adults job to babysit children online to protect them from ~scary content~. That’s where parents come in.

But they can be used for grooming!!

Besides the fact I have literally never heard a case of this happening, I won’t doubt that it probably has. Yes, fics could be used as a tool for grooming…and so we punish the author, not the groomer? Candy and toys are used as grooming tools on children as well, should we halt the production of candy? Of toys? Should we punish those companies? No, of course not. Because they can’t control who uses their products and what for. You need to focus on the actual fucking criminal. Not some person who wrote a fic and it unfortunately happened to be used for this.

Trying to control other people and censor media is awful. I understand what antis are trying to accomplish, I respect their dedication and want to help others, but all it’s doing is hurting those who have been hurt enough already. Fighting over fiction like this is stupid. You are allowed to hate certain types of content, you are allowed to block them so you dont see it. But don’t bully or harrass others who do like it. Because it does nothing, and just distresses both parties.

Guess what happens when you file a report to the FBI of fanfiction or fanart? Some investigator is going to have to waste time looking at a FANFIC (a fanfic… words on paper depicting fictional characters doing something). 

Meanwhile, because they’re busy with that, there’s another report waiting to be looked into. A report involving actual real life children in immediate danger. And no investigators are looking at that report because they’re busy looking at a report of anime fanfics.

Animal Crossing was at E3!

Sadly the release date was pushed back to March 20, 2020, but we do have a lot of info about the title!

It’s going to be called Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

It takes place on a “deserted island” which you then get to develop, building everything from scratch!

There’s a crafting system now! You can pick up wood and rocks and grass and craft tools!

You can choose your hemisphere! So June for someone in North America can look different for someone in Australia!

You can put down permanent paths!

(Hopefully you’ll be able to customize them too, but even just having a permanent option is HUGE!)

You can set up your tent/house on the beach!

(Beachfront property, oh yeaaahhh)

You can make a “vaulting pole” to cross the rivers without having to build a bridge!

You can place furniture OUTSIDE!! So you can actually have a lawn chair in front of you house! Or whatever you like!

You can move your furniture in HALF INCREMENTS just like in HHD!!

You can harvest flowers instead of pulling them! Which is awesome because they added a flower crown that you can craft!!!!

Use Paypal Invoices. 

I cannot stress this enough. That shit helps A LOT when it comes down to Paypal refunds/disputes. There’s a description box that let’s you put in what the product is/how long it’ll take/yadda yadda, and then there’s another little memo box that only you and paypal can see where you can say it’s a digital commission and doesn’t require shipping (So Donald Mcfuck can’t say that they never got their commission). And there’s also a box for your Terms & Conditions where you can say, if you have any conflicts/want a refund - email me, or you can actually tell the user that this is a digital commission and they won’t be getting a hard copy of it.

ARTISTS. PLEASE USE PAYPAL INVOICES. it will SAVE you. And to: the people who do this to artists – Fuck you. It’s okay if you change your mind and want a refund. But freaking TALK to us and let us know what’s going on. Let us WORK with you.
