In the early years following Claudia’s arrival, nothing much happened inside 1132 Rue Royal. There were no grand parties. No shocking calamities. The days seemed utterly empty, but everything splendid was in them.

If a fantasy world has an ancient tree of wisdom, that means it must also have young trees that are dumb as shit. Just giving terrible advice like, "the evil wizard is kinda hot"'
T. S. Eliot, The Waste Land
I don't think Gasper is intentional queer subtext and i do believe that Nicholas Denton and William Fitchner just have that kind of insane organic on screen chemistry where they're just eating each others faces off without touching each other and that wasn't really planned. I believe them when they say that because that happens all the time in acting.
My thing is. If this show isn't doomed they should, you know, do something with that. This isn't an established story they're adapting they can literally just do that if they want and these guys have like insane chemistry it would be foolish to not write around that.

Ilja dragunov is so autistic coded and no one can tell me otherwise
theyre happily married in my eyes
This made me think back to all their segments and matches together including NXT. Then the way that Rhea is holding Iyo. This match was more for Rhea to prove her worth to Iyo. While proving the Kabuki Warriors wrong. That Iyo chose her. Any fears she had about Iyo. Went away in this match. Later on her talking about new family. Make me even more intrigued with this scene. Also it makes me wonder. Did Liv and Dom ever understand Rhea? Or really accepted her?
they got away with an EGREGIOUS amount of yuri considering where they are

Swerve should start being really friendly with Kota Ibushi. Make Kenny and Hangman jealous.
#hardest gifs I ever made. felt like I was interrupting smth the whole time
yall think roman was so insistent on only trusting family bc family is designed to be the only group of people who can’t hurt or betray you? yall think seth found two people looking for validation and guidance, ready to protect bc they’d need him and wouldn’t leave? yall think mox keeps playing these mind games so no one thinks to turn on him, to betray him?
idk just food for thought. <- is on the brink of insanity.

A big reason why IWTV is less popular than it could be is because of the racism for sure, but also, it's queer gothic horror. Even amongst the narrowed queer audience, not everyone is going to be happy with engaging with something so heavy and dark.
And frankly even despite that, I always thought IWTV to be very popular. I knew about all the characters despite being on the periphery. It's considered one of the best TV shows in the past decade, and I'd wager even over a decade. A lot of people know about it, even if they haven't watched it.
We just have to live with the fact that this genre not being everyone's cup of tea is a contributing factor to its more "Niche" status(i hesitate to even call it niche, it has such a HUGE fandom).
People who are comparing it to Heated Rivalry in particular confuse me, because it's way too early to tell if HR is going to have longevity. IWTV definitely has longevity. It's still being talked about among people. HR has been out for like, a month. Who knows how people will talk about it in the future, or if they would at all?
Like don't get me wrong, I like HR, but it's in the same vein as RWRB. Sure, people are hyped when it drops, but it's not going to be talked about or watched 10, 20 years down the line. IWTV is such a longstanding, established thing which has genuinely impacted pop culture and queer media, and the show continues to do that.
like come on guys, it's IWTV.
