First tattoo

wow, gonna be 19 in a few days and I am deciding to do something I have wanted for the last five years, I am getting a tattoo. It’s actually the same tattoo I have wanted for the last five years. “I’m with you in Rockland” in special elite typewriter font on my left shoulder. I know I am going to cry like a baby but oh well, I am excited.

Okay, I swear I am not into anything that involves dressing up as an animal or mythical creature, but the whole otherkin community is so interesting. I don’t identify as anything other than a human being, however I am so fucking curious about this community. I kinda want to know what makes people feel and act the way they do. I honestly feel no judgement because they aren’t hurting anyone, and seem for the most part just kinda confused but it’s hard for me not to find this not strange and a bit off. I am super uneducated on all this so please don’t get offended I am just speaking my mind and genuinely mean so harm…. I am just curious

Otherkind and therianthropes are a bit off. That’s towards the point. We’re normal people with an abnormal experience. Sometimes we try to sanitize it for the sake of human-identified people which is not so great.

Species identity is complex. But you have a species identity too. Yours is human. Ours is either nonhuman or something inbetween.

I don’t think there’s a universal answer to why we feel the way we do. We simply feel it. We act the way we do because it comes naturally to us.

We see species as something beyond just taxonomic classifications. That’s where a lot of outsiders (for lack of a better word) seem to get confused.

okay, I mean as long as you don’t compare yourself to the trans community (because that creates a lot of problems) and its not harming anyone I kinda find this cool. Like who tf wouldn’t want a demon or angel or mermaid as a best friend. If anything it’s just really interesting, thanks so much for explaining

jack frost and jim hawkins would be a great duo they are seriously one of my brotps because jim is so wild and reckless like jack yet he is really moody where as jack is so light hearted they would either be total enemies or be one of those best friends who annoy the heck out of each other. also sorry for the awful quality i dont have a good camera
