I’m raising money to be able to purchase this expensive medicine that is used to hold back a very rare tumor in my head. Xgeva is usually used for bone cancer (which I don’t have), but it’s the only medicine strong enough to control the unknown tumor. The tumor is so rare that it doesn’t even have a name, and doctors don’t know anything about it either. I was third in my country to have such tumor (and my tumor was the rarest, since it was weirdly bloody and grows at 75% speed). This tumor was discovered back in 2012, when I suddenly started seeing everything double. I was rushed to a hospital where they did an emergency MRI, and I had to stay in the hospital for further control. The only thing the doctors could tell me was that it was tumor, but what kind, no idea. I went through two surgeries, and was in and out hospital for about 3 months. The Xgeva medication was purely a test, and the doctors had no idea if it would actually help or not. Luckily for me, it did help, and I’ve been taking it ever since. The shot is taken once a month, every four weeks. If I stop taking the medicine, the tumor will rapidly grow back to its size, and I’ll start seeing everything double again (or even die, the doctors don’t know what would happen). We tried to stop this medication in 2016, because all the MRI scans showed no tumor. But alas, in October 2017, the tumor was back in my head, starting to grow once more, so we had to start the Xgeva shots again. Now, the bad side about this medicine is, that it’s really expensive, and I have to buy the first three shots myself (after that it only costs 2,5€ for the rest of the year). The shots always cost around 250€ per one, so I’m looking at a total of 750€ per start of each year. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I can’t offer commissions, because I simply cannot promise to do something I won’t deliver. It wouldn’t be fair. As you guys might have noticed, I’m very inactive with anything related to art. I just simply have no motivation, even though I DO get the urge to draw and create new content. I don’t know how could I get back to drawing every day. It just tastes like sand in my mouth. So I don’t know what to do. How am I going to be able to collect the funds I need for my medicine?
