here are my early concepts on mystery girl. kat, hilary, rebecca and me all worked together to make someone cool and hot. props to hilary for the motocyle idea and awesome car scenes. 

i based her shirt off of an old band shirt my dad had that id steal and wear all the time to look cool in middle school. of course, she also had to have doc martens. i was calling her “sheena” in my head.. cause “sheena is a punk rocker”.. you know.. 

also, a secret that only comes to light now: i based her piercings off of a WoW character of mine. Nyeheh

im typing a lot cause it was really fun to design a character and work on that ep. wheee

I love going to shows, but maybe even more than that, I love making things about going to shows.  Cars, convenience stores, awkward social interactions and of course music is somewhere in there too.  So I was super excited when the idea came up to take Pearl to a house show.  Hilary Florido & Lauren Zuke boarded the episode, but I got a chance to put in some bits and even draw my buddy Mike Krol singing.  If only there was somebody skanking.  Nevertheless, this is one of my all time fav eps.
