Book recomendation: "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck.

Plot: In this retelling of the story of Cain and Abel, the book tells the story of three generations of men (grandfather, father and son) in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. John narrates the story of the Trask family and his maternal family (the Hamiltons) to talk about family dynamics, religion and the different relationships that exist with it, and parenting.

The biggest reason I love it is because it gives different views on how a person (depending on the way they were raised or the circumstances around them) can adapt certain types of life. You connect with all the characters and understand the reasons why they decide to make certain decisions. There are no perfect people, everyone has so many good and bad things and that's something that makes you see yourself reflected in some aspects of different characters no matter how different they are.

Favorite characters: Samuel Hamilton, Lee, Adam Trask, Tom Hamilton, Dessie Hamilton, Una Hamilton and the Trask twins (I kinda like Aaron more than Cal).
