Speaking of books it's been a while since I've seen one of these posts going around & I'm curious so everyone could you tell me what you are reading rn in the tags please
So, my first instinct on this was to say, “Shouldn’t Rai already know about tea?”
BUT…!
It really depends on where Rai lived before he went to sleep. If he was in Europe, I did some googling, and it looks like tea wasn’t introduced to that continent until the 1600s, at least.
Of course, if he was on the continent of Asia before then, I find it a little hard to believe that he wouldn’t already know what tea is. I’m going to give the manhwa the benefit of the doubt on this matter.
Alright, so I was about to answer this, but then I realized that I have no clue if you’ve finished reading the manhwa and I was about to spoil certain events soooo if you haven’t finished it then you might want to keep the tea part in mind, if you have, then I’ll just reblog this again with my opinion 😂
Ah, yeah, I’ve only read through, approximately, the beginning 140 chapters of this story. I plan on reading through the whole thing, but my reread has been going a bit slow. Hopefully, I can set aside a day that I have off from work and just binge a lot. But, thanks for keeping my experience spoiler free!
I’ll definitely keep this moment in mind as I continue to read through the series.

My assumption for this has always been that Frankenstein is telling Raizel that it’s tea in Korean so that he can absorb the language faster rather than him not knowing what tea is. Just a small aid to the language absorption skill.
That's a good interpretation of the scene and I think it fits very well. Thanks for your insight!

Wait, Frankenstein used “our” instead of just the word “my”. I don’t know if I forgot anything related to this (let’s be real, I probably did), but I definitely don’t remember any other servants of Rai besides Frankenstein being mentioned in the first 140 chapters.
I’m looking forward to learning more about the situation surrounding Rai going to sleep for so long.
Alrighty, I don’t know if this is ever answered in the manhwa, so I looked it up, and it looks like the series begins in 2010. That means he went to sleep around the year 1190.
I’m gonna try to keep track of this information, since, I imagine, history and the timeline might be important in a story about an immortal vampire that has lived for centuries.
I was first introduced to Noblesse through my sister and the anime, so I don’t really know what my reaction to this reveal would have been if I came across it naturally, but I get the impression it would have sparked some theorizing on their relationship.
But, the real questions is. . . Who’s prettier?
Did…did Shinwoo actually run those 7 laps in sandals??? Now, that’s talent!
In some schools in South Korea and Japan (maybe China too? idk) they have lockers in the foyer where they enter school to swap their outside shoes for sandals. Shinwoo didn’t wear sandals for his laps as you can see in this panel.
Ah, thanks for the clarification! I'm glad Shinwoo didn't put himself through the nightmare that is running with sandals.

Oh no...
That is not a very flattering face...
I definitely understand the elation of trying to communicate with someone and then finally breaking through. Feels good!
This series has a fantastic sense of humor.
Wait a second....if class hasn’t started, why were they being punished for being late???
When this chapter started I thought it would be way more focused on Shinwoo than it actually was in the end. Instead it focuses on this teacher, who is so far nameless. I’m sure I knew his name at one point, but I don’t remember it. I’ll make a note of it when the manhwa actually does. Shinwoo is really only secondary here.
I’ll explain my thoughts further under the cut.
Wait, does Shinwoo like Yuna? From the last time I read through the first 140 chapters, I don’t remember that being a thing...
Oh well *shrugs*
Here’s a quote that gets an entire panel dedicated to it. I wonder if it’s going to have any thematic relevance later...?
