This new chapter just made me realize that og hikaru's wish is still being fulfilled, not as he intended, of course, but still happening

Maybe my memory is betraying me, but I remember that og hikaru's wish was that no one suffered with his death, or rather that everyone could still be happy or non bothered, especially not wanting yoshiki to be alone

And "hikaru" is doing exactly that. Even tho the true owner of the memories and body are gone, he still brings some closure to those that were close to hikaru, in his own, little weird way.

and something about these two panels, and how different they are. how hikaru’s is more chaotic. but also how yoshiki is more expressive in it. how he is facing him. because in a way, while hikaru had to learn how to look at yoshiki from a distance, hikaru has always been looking right at him. and how that, and everything that hikaru is, helps yoshiki crawl out of his shell. to be himself more.
