I'm actually relieved that the Zuko film was canceled. I don't believe they can portray Azula's character accurately, either by giving her a forced redemption arc or depicting her as a completely insane villain who is evil just because. Honestly, I would prefer they leave Azula's character alone from now on, and frankly, I think they should stop creating ATLA content altogether.

I find most ships with Azula in her show boring because characters rarely accept her. I imagine she'd fit well in the JoJo universe, especially with the Crusaders, like her ending up with them. She wouldn't scare them; they'd see her as a teenage girl with issues, not a monster. Though I find Kakyoin and her interactions super interesting. He wouldn't fear her and would match her wit, making their interactions fun. I think she'd enjoy his company, as he could hold a conversation with her even if it's banter or her snarky remarks. He would throw his sass back at her

Here's the thing about this dynamic that lives rent-free in my head: Kakyoin is just as brilliant as Azula, genuinely, effortlessly brilliant. But he has zero interest in competition as he doesn't care to keep score (he's a loner 💔), and I can see that driving Azula crazy cause how dare someone somehow outsmart her!! She was raised to be the best, and it would be interesting to see how she can handle someone who matches her but just doesn't care. 🤔

It's not a rivalry if only one person is playing, but it sure makes it so much worse (better) for her.

I'm not sure why, but there's something about Kakyoin and Azula that appeals to me. It could be that they are both incredibly intelligent, especially in battle strategies and overall smarts, or perhaps it's their deep feelings of never being truly understood. Maybe it's the image of Azula attempting to manipulate him, only for him to counter with his wit, turning it into a battle of minds. Or possibly, I'm just overthinking it and going a bit crazy.
