Leo season is approaching, you know what that means đĽľđ đ
sun in leo
⨠âď¸
sun enters the sign of leo on july 22nd. when the sun enters leo, we see the purest expression of the sun. sun in leo falls in the middle of summer, which is perfect for leo who demands to be the center of all. during leo season we see people embrace themselves in ways that other sun cycles cannot achieve. during this season it's important to embrace the self in ways that allow for expression to shine in unfiltered ways. you say, think, and act however you desire. it's also important to step into creativity. so taking up projects that enlighten the soul is important. use this time to start new journeys of self expression, and creativity. another theme during the sun in leo is courage. this could look like anything. whatever it means to YOU, is how you will embrace courage. whether it be doing things that you have never thought possible, or finally standing up for yourself, or even finally letting go of people who were doing nothing but bring you down, this time will ask you to be courageous. this time is really beautiful for the self, it's a time to shine without fear of what others think. step into the child like spirit that resides within. embrace the fixed fire energy that is leo. use you sun/moon/rising to see the perfect affirmation for this season.
aries: I pour into myself.
taurus: I am living in the moment.
gemini: I see the endless possibilities of today.
cancer: I celebrate the now with joy.
leo: I aam able to thrive in any situation, even the most challenging ones.
virgo: I am grateful for my body's ability to adapt.
libra: I wake up feeling healed and whole every morning.
scorpio: I express my happiness and watch it grow.
sagittarius: I embrace my true nature.
capricorn: I appreciate the beauty of my body, inside and out.
aquarius: I aam filled with pride when I look back at my journey.
pisces: I walk hands in hand in this life.
leo season || being seen is scarier than we admit
the sun moves into leo on july 22nd (happy birthday my leo fam!) and after a month in cancer, you're probably going to feel the shift in your body before you understand it in your head.
cancer season was inward. it was home, rest, staying close to the people and places where you didn't have to explain yourself. that was the point, but leo doesn't work like that. leo pulls you out into the open and asks you to be seen, and honestly that's a harder ask than it sounds.
most of us think we want to be seen. we say it all the time. i want to be recognized, i want to matter to people, i want my work to land. then the moment it actually happens, the moment someone really looks, a lot of us flinch. we deflect the compliment. we shrink the thing we just made. we get busy or we get quiet or we make a joke so nobody looks too long. wanting to be seen and being able to tolerate being seen are two different skills, and leo season tends to expose the gap between them.
so this is the season to notice what you do when the attention actually comes. do you let it in, or do you find a way to dodge it. there's no wrong answer here and you don't need to fix it overnight, but it's worth watching, because you can't receive what you keep swatting away.
leo can also tip into performing instead of being. there's a version of visibility that's really just management, where you curate the version of yourself that's safe to be seen and you show that one instead. it looks like confidence from the outside but it's actually the opposite, it's you deciding people can look at the polished part but not the real part. leo season can pull you toward that if you're not careful, especially if being truly seen has ever cost you something. and it might have. if that's you, go gentle. the goal isn't to throw yourself wide open to everyone. it's to let at least the people who've earned it see the version of you that isn't rehearsed.
here's what i would do with this season. pick one place where you've been hiding a little, a piece of work, a want, an opinion you keep softening, and let it be seen without the disclaimer attached. no "this is probably dumb but." no shrinking it before someone else gets the chance to. just put it down and let it be looked at. that's the whole practice.
leo season runs until late august and it builds toward something big, the sun meets jupiter in leo on the 29th, which is one of the most expansive days of the whole year. so consider these first days the warmup. get comfortable being looked at now, while the stakes are low.
if you want to know where leo season is lighting up your personal chart and what it's asking you to step into, readings are open at casa de novas âĄ

How do you feel about using multiple spells for a single goal? Doing wealth spells one after another until you're out of difficulties, for example, versus doing the one and letting it be?
I've got a chapter in a book I'm probably never going to publish about this. It's long. tl;dr: hell yeah cast a lot of spells for one thing, that's a great idea. Upg alert, etc.
Compound Magic: Many Hands Make Light Work
Compound magic is the phrase Iâm using to discuss two similar ideas.
The idea is that if working one act of magic can affect our physical world to any degree, then working multiple acts of magic on the same subject can affect it to a greater degree.
This works at both the macro and micro levels.
By âmacro,â I mean casting entire spells to influence various situations.
If youâre casting a home prosperity spell, casting multiple prosperity spells tends to be more beneficial than casting only one. Following our Witch-as-Monarch metaphor, you can cast spells that are like geologists seeking resources, like road-builders to strengthen trade routes, or like festival celebrations to revitalize your citizens.
More literally, if there is a situation that is resistant to change or in need of serious transformation, you can build a spellcasting altar dedicated to that single issue.
Spellcasting altars are useful in the practical sense that if youâve got a whole altar for it, you might not forget that itâs something you wanted to work on.
Theyâre also very useful in the magical sense that as you dedicate a new âcounsel roomâ to this topic and begin filling it with advisors, knights, heroes, spies, managers, and agents, and then continuously empower your Allies to work on your behalf through dedicated spellwork, all of these powers begin to compound and support each other.
In other words: the action of casting multiple spells can have additive or supportive effect which helps all the spells work better.
Not only this, but spells can begin to file away the rust on a situation and get the gears working - but run out of energy before the mechanism is truly brought to life.
If a single spell didnât appear to manifest as desired, that doesnât mean it didnât do anything. It could mean that the situation was improved behind the scenes, laying a better foundation for success for your next spell.
Therefore, compound magic also means cleverly assigning spells to loosen up a situation and prepare it for change, to banish potential roadblocks, to protect the desired outcome, to empower the desired aspects of the situation, to bind the unwanted aspects, and so forth. In this manner, casting compound magic doesnât necessarily mean to cast prosperity-generating spells over and over â it can also mean to cast banishings, protections, cleansings, and so forth, in the pursuit of prosperity.
This may all sound like a lot of work, but recall that weâre talking about very resistant situations, or situations in need of a lot of transformation before they suit your tastes. However, I hope youâll agree with me that this concept in general actually really helps take a load off, because:
If your strategy is to work multiple acts of magic, then no single act of magic you work ever has to be perfect, or even exceptional.
Spellcasting anxiety is very real, and in my opinion boils down to the worry not only that unless everything is perfect then everything is ruined, but furthermore, that if any single spell doesnât work it means the practitioner is a fraud.
If you instead adopt the mindset that itâs quite alright to need to work three or four acts of magic to influence a sticky situation, each spell feels less like youâre an actor making your debut performance in front of a judgmental audience, and much more like youâre going to try and treat the problem with a vinegar spray first, but if that doesnât lift the bonds thatâs quite alright because youâve got a baking soda scrub to try next.
This isnât to say that I think every single situation is going to require multiple spells to make the magic âwork.â Far from it. But I donât find there to be any utility at all in assuming every situation should be fixable by only one spell, and if that spell fails then thereâs something wrong.
Overall, I find that the witch who often engages in acts of magic to keep the home safe and prosperous will find that this compound effect begins to work organically, and that over time all acts of magic eventually lead to an enchanted life, to greater or lesser degrees.
On the âmicroâ side of this concept we can examine the enchantment of a single object or formula.
Instead of considering that we can use multiple spells to influence a situation, we can see that we can work many smaller acts of magic over time to produce a single powerful spell.
Think about woodburning a very hard, difficult piece of wood. During the first session you may only get an outline of the design before youâre exhausted and in need of a break. The wood is still imprinted upon, but itâs far from the completed project you envisioned.
During the next woodburning session, and the next, the design is slowly filled in until it meets your standards of satisfaction.
This is conceptually very similar to re-casting the same enchantment over and over on a single object until desired results are obtained.
This is extremely useful for the pragmatic witch who may not have the ability to plan out spells on specific times and days, or who must act now without every ideal ingredient on hand.
And not only that, but itâs also useful for the witch who would just like to have some fun with magic and doesnât want to twiddle their thumbs waiting for the most ideal possible moment to act.
If a witch would like to work up a pot of Noontide Shield Oil (pg. 34), but the working felt less than lustrous, the formula can simply be re-enchanted again next Sunday to deepen and solidify the enchantment. Or, suppose the original oil had to be worked in less than ideal conditions, or perhaps even with entire ingredients missing: the missing ingredients can be added later on, the spell re-cast over the same vessel in more ideal conditions, and so forth.
The same goes for any spell vessel, formula, charmed ingredient, or enchanted object.
These things can be fully re-enchanted by performing the original spell over again, switching focus from adding ingredients to empowering and instructing ingredients already added.
But they can also be encouraged in more minor ways, especially through regular feeding (pg. 9).
I think itâs important to note here that weâre basically talking about cooking. A chicken soup where you have to omit the chicken, and then shred up rotisserie leftovers and just add it to the broth when having leftovers, is not going to produce identical results as if you had been able to cook the chicken in the soup.
Either way, youâve still got chicken soup - it's just that an enchantment made in the most ideal conditions is not going to be identical to an enchantment made in non-ideal conditions and later fortified.
So I donât believe that itâs correct to say that ideal conditions donât matter. I think they do matter, and that practitioners will notice an appreciable improvement if they are able to work with ideal circumstances.
But I also believe itâs correct to say that if you continuously re-cast enchantments towards the same objects and formulas over and over again, while supplementing missing or lacking factors, over time that enchantment deepens and becomes more permanent and more powerful.
Just like macro compound magic, I think that this helps reduce the difficulty in working powerful enchantments. You donât have to work yourself up to exhaustion casting a single powerful enchantment that wipes out your ability to work magic for three days. You can meter your energy and pour out small amounts of your power, when needed or as desired, and slowly build up powerful magics around you.
Then, when an important âmacroâ situation arises, consider how it would feel to be able to reach for a variety spell vessels and formulas youâve already been empowering for months, keeping them fresh and alive through periodic attention and feeding. Things begin to feel much less like a witch alone in a room, and much more like an empowered monarch surrounded by Allies.
sun into leo

The Moon in Houses
"You and me bleed the same light"
Moon in the 1st house:
âThe moon is the reflection of your heart, and moonlight is the twinkle of your love.â Moon in the 1st house can be considered a "magical" placement to have, might sound childish but Moon has a lot of magic within in this house, makes the native very intuitive and spiritual, and chaotic at times, can also be a moody place for the moon to be in, when it comes to the natives beauty because the 1st house is about the appearance, ironic they might have a "moon" face, or baby face i think is called aswell, they have very emotional eyes like they are mirror the native´s soul. Moon in the 1st house doesn´t like when people lie to them, they simply cannot stand it and might want to break the contact, they can set good standards if the native is confident enough (because they can be shy sometimes depeding on moons aspects/sign etc) but also some of them have a good personality, they like being themselves, theyre really some good people to hang out with. The Moon in the 1st house of course can be considered spritiual or very devoted, they are putting their soul and heart in everything, that can be a moon in the 1st house ultimate signature, they know how to read people which can make them so loved but also relatable, they value great time to spend with the loved ones. In some cases people with this placement might be considered the mom of the group or the one who listens to everyones problems, precious people to have around.
Moon in the 2nd house:
âThe moon is a reminder that no matter what phase Iâm in, Iâm still whole.â Moon in the 2nd house tells a really big story about someones worth and how they see and value themselves, like reading a journal, and one page is about the struggles, the other one is about the things that make them happy and another more about the things they want to achieve in the future, because Moon in the 2nd house makes sure to not miss any oppportunity. Moon in this house can bless someone with a great taste, in can be in the way they talk, behave, dress, manners all of this, but also can make the native crave a lot, crave an expensive/luxury life which some tend to manifest, they´re very humble aswell depending on everyones background, at the end of the day they have to make sure that everything was worth it and they tried their best doing it, if something cannot be done today, they will make sure to do it tomorrow type of people. Some people with this moon placement and based on the aspects really know how to handle money, while others tend to spend it fast and on the things they enjoy for the moment, some also might like simple things to just reward themselves and as an act of self love to remind themselves to keep going, this placement often reminds us that even if life has struggles, staying strong to yourself matters the most, and do not lose yourself for addictions or lust as every moon place has its weakness.
Moon in the 3rd house:
âThe moon belongs to those who dare to dream.â Moon in the 3rd house is when your mind and heart speak the same language, Moon in the 3rd house is a wild dreamer, at the same time they are kinda good to balance it with staying grounded. 3rd house is possibly one of the most curious houses, very smart, geniune, talktive, social, they crave for that interaction and spark that some people might have, they crave for deeper connections. Moon in the 3rd house natives like to chase, they can be flitry have a very good and healthy body language, they can be the type of people who will get others out of their bad moods and go for a walk, can be the therapist friend, the more experienced friend, the teacher friend, but most of all Moon in this house tends to create relations who span over long years, thats why someone being dry with them or breaking the contact with them...would probably destroy them and ruin their day. For some they might treat their friends as siblings, people very close to them and choosing them wisely. Moon in the 3rd house might also indicate the native has a lot to learn, to experience, to go through, with their path being using their communication skills in order to get higher knowledge. KInda the type of people who send you a text and then would call you and talk for hours, they treat people as they wish to be treated which is where they shine a lot, they have this deep respect for everyone even for those they do not fw that good, they might forgive those who hurt them but there is a big chance to cut these people off and move on.
Moon in the 4th house:
âEach moon phase carries a lesson â beginnings, endings, reflection, and rebirth.â Moon in the 4th house is like the lamb of the family, some people keep it for their benefits, while others tend to sacrifice it and with those coming the generational cycle, and do not get me wrong, Moon adores the 4th house as is at home here, but most of the times this placement manifests as a big source of karma rather than rainbows and pink skies...with all of these moon in the 4th house still one of the most empathetic places for the moon, you know the phrase "water holds memories"? well thats kinda how the moon acts here, their mind can forgive but never forget, and moon in the 4th house is also a "chameleon" placement because they can change their moods and attitude very fast depending with who they´re talking with, because they are really good at faking their emotions (for a while) and rarely you catch them at their lowest, as they do love themselves some privacy and self-isolation when it comes to protecting their energy. Moon in the 4th house also holds a big source of nurturing, (depending on the aspects) and the environment they grew up in, if the family situation was tense, they very easily can reciprocate that feeling/emotion until they feel safe. Some of them can be stuck emotionally while others thriving but one thing they all have in common is....early maturity, they might have been forced to grew up faster, making them more rational and more indifferent to the pain over years. Last but not least, this is one of the strongest placements who say "Maybe your upbringing wasn´t the best but for sure it paved the way for others".
"I want you to know that I'm all yours"
Moon in the 5th house:
âWe are all lovers under the same moon.â Moon becomes a hopeless romantic when it hits the cusp of the 5th house, it becomes a forbidden fruit that not everyone has the chance to taste. Moon in the 5th house and also depending on the aspects has a big impact over the natives hobbies, their way of seeing life, their way of navigating through life. Not many talk or write about it but in the 5th house the moon has an impact over all the romance in the natives life, from like the first crush until meeting their specific person, the moon has a role in that, and depending on the sign/aspects it tells us how the native handles it, but usually is a great spot for the native to experience love, for some it can happen early, but for others it may be a slow type of burn, and the funny thing about it..is that most times the lovers tend to be their exact match, the placement of an "IT" or popular couple, mainly on the partner. Their family tree might have some beautiful genetics passed down by the ancestors or older relatives, for some it can also indicate someone in the family being very pretty and maybe known by others. Their love style might be very intense and soul craving, and of course waiting to be treated with the same type of love, with moon here it matters that everything has to be mutual in order to work, do not take their love for granted because a 2nd chance doesn´t come that fast as someone would expect to.
Moon in the 6th house:
âThe Moon was so beautiful that the ocean held up a mirror.â Moon in the 6th house is one of the sensitive placements in the chart for this planet, is the house of chores, responsability, work ethic, feelings but also..enemies, with moon in the 6th house the natives could have had some people who didn´t liked them esp during childhood and younger ears but can also encounter them later. Not everyone has to like you and that is perfect. Moon tends to strive for perfection in this house, they want to show the world that they have no mistakes, depending on the sign that may not always work, some simply don´t like perfection and want to be themselves, some stll figure themselves out, because with Moon here is better to understand that there is a time and place for everything, and that even if time is slower sometimes, the reward will be bigger. Moon in the 6th house can be very moody, with moon here is important to protect yourself, to check the moon calendar, to take care of your body because this planet sometimes might indicate a fragile body, sensitive, skin problems, or digestion problems. If moon is harshly aspected it can be harder for the native to gain confidence and they might feel stuck in life, for a period of time, thats where characther development comes in and basically builds them for better (also for the future). Moon sometimes tends to be naive here, they trust too much in people, they give too many chances and when they get drained from energy and people....they wonder where all this tiredness is coming from..is from the people around you!! (if you have the wrong people around) this energy is all absorbing.
Moon in the 7th house:
"The moon is the accomplice of all things related to the heart!". Moon is at home in the 7th house, so is a good placement, moon acts naturally here and makes the native very emotional, attractive, likes to being indecisive, they hate when people tell them to choose between stuff, they stress a lot, they´re 24/7 in alert somehow. The 7th house is notoriously known for being a romance and relationship house, is the 2nd house ruled by Venus and is very "Romeo & Juliet coded". With Moon in the 7th house, it can make native search for love all their life, they will not stop until they find that perfect partner (their prince charming). They are very needy people based on the sign and some might struggle because they tend to be too dependent on the people/partners of their lives, they´ll crawl in someones heart and remain there until they do not feel safe or loved anymore. Moon in this house hates breakups, esp if the breakup is a messy one, the thing here is that their exes and partners become attach to so there are many cases where they might come back, people crave being loved by someone with Moon in the 7th house. They are generally liked by people, because they try to keep it friendly with anyone, people might reach out to them. Is important with this Moon to have strong boundaries because their love life shifts into a puzzle until the right person shows up. Moon in the 7th house makes for the native to be irreplaceable in every relationship they have.
Moon in the 8th house:
âThe moon fascinates us because it is both familiar and mysterious!". Moon in the 8th house tends to be one of the most sensitive places (as houses) for the moon to be in since is co-ruled by Scorpio and the Moon is debilitated here, that is why it can cause so many emotions. Their life is told be an emotional rollercoaster, moody, chaotic. The 8th house is also the house of mysticism, of the unseen, the shadows, is very Hades - coded. Thats why most natives tend to be also very private, guarded, protected, they enjoy some alone time but depending on the sign they might crave connections never seen like before. This energy sometimes can manifest as soul draining, because if a moon in the 8th house loves you, their love is filled with obession, desire, wanting to experience stuff they never did before. Moon in the 8th house is kinda known to cause problems with the women in family, especially the mom, can make the mom - kid relationship harsh, cold, or distant (aspects mattter so much in this case). Very ironically they might inerhit a lot of things from their mother or the women in the family, because moon is so karmic here it just repeats the traits. The native is strong both mentally and emotionally, they have this magnetism that pulls people around them even if the native doesn´t want it that much, is just the energy of the moon. They might feel excluded or outcast, not fitting in, and that is their biggest weapon, by not fitting in, they stand out, they make their own life, their build their own path. Their eyes tell so many stories that not everyone is ready to listen or hear, keeping it only to themselves, their little safe heaven.
"You and me run the same course"
Moon in the 9th house:
"The moon is a reminder that no matter what phase Iâm in, Iâm still whole." Moon in the 9th house is complex, is influential, soul -consuming the native with higher knowledge. The thing with the moon here is that they´re very emotionally mature, it happens with the age, that can make it so easier for them to sympathize with other people, creating significant deeper connections with them. Moon in the 9th house makes it for the native to be very experimental in life, they need to hold some space onto learning about themselves, everything is a self-journey with them. Since this is a fire house (ruled by Sagittarius) the native is so passionate about everything they´re doing, they´re the passion fruit in whole fruit salad of astrology. Some natives with moon in this placement can be very devoted to their faith (religion and astrology do not go hand in hand so no) i mean faith not religion, because Jupiter rules here too the moon is optimistic Now as you may know moon in the 9th house makes the native very close and proud of their culture, roots, food, background and also because of this they may like travelling, exploring, for some reason they might feel their soul is to live in a country ( for some) not all might leave their homeland but is highly possible to move at some point abroad. Moon in this house can posess a good sense of humour as well, they just know how to make the perfect jokes at the perfect time.
Moon in the 10th house:
"The moon teaches us that change is beautiful." Well i do have a lot of stuff to write about this moon placement, depending on the sign because the 10th house is an earth house, the native feels that they have lots of responsability, people esp parents can put a lot on shoulders early in life, people have big exepecations of them and so because of this, can develop into a fear of the native to not dissapoint or "fail" anybody. They are raised to end up big in their life, to have a lot of achievements, to not be lazy and always, always, always working hard for themselves and their future, again depending on every person some might have had a harsh enviroment of growing back in or background, due to this sometimes Moon in the 10th house talks about having strict parents in some situations aswell. Being the house of capricorn, makes the native very disciplined, agile, wise beyond their years (which might be a response to trauma of them having to grow up too early), some people with this placement can be heavily parentified, taking care of the entire household, taking care of the elders, of siblings etc, allowing them to not have that much time for themselves until they build some strong boundaries for themseleves. With Moon in the 10th house and some of the ways the native grew up in, the moon can strive for recoginition, to be praised for their work, to end up sucessful. As they grow more and more they become more mature and secure in themeselves, the confidence is coming.
Moon in the 11th house:
"The moon is a silent witness to a thousand untold dreams". Now we need to talk about how Moon in the 11th house is such a great spot for the moon to be in, in terms of friends and networks. Moon here is so social, it acts like the that type of person who asks everyone if they want to be their friend, very active since young, might join in a lot of clubs or semniaries. The native here is so strong at building and raising up their connection, and extend their knowledge, their intuition can be very uncanny, more so when it comes to them guessing about people (not judging because is not the same) but they can be right about certain people, you either believe them or not, they won´t force anyone to believe it or to spread gossip. Depending on the sign it can struggle with being open or social at times, for example if Moon in the 11H has harsh aspects with Saturn, then they will be more private than other 11H Moons. Being the house of aquarius they do not struggle with being flexible, arrving on time, never missing on a meeting, stuff like this. When Moon in the 11th house shines the most...of course is at the friendships topic, they might have some old friends or friends from childhood who can be their whole world, but for some....they might also build friendships along the way, is perfectly good if you don´t have connections from childhood, because as the native grows up, they extended, they learn the benefits, they learn the good side of networks. Last but not the least, Moon here nurtures people in a way that it feels like missing.
Moon in the 12th house:
"As the moon grows and fades, so do we, yet we always return to light". We finally reached the 12th house where moon if it happens to be here then it indicates a lot of unfinished emotional business, it can be from their past lives, or an energy they carry along for mulitple lives, they crave for that emotional fullfilment, to be happy, to be at peace, to not worry about anything, to just fully close their eyes and relax, because moon here....has no break litterally. Mentally talking..can make the native so worried and anxious, overthinking, maybe even shy or maybe it can be a result from trauma, and talking of trauma..Moon in the 12th house is really good at psychology, healing, therapy, these things can be a safe haven for them. They are very understanding and highly empathetic people so can also be open at hearing others people stories, helping them along the way. When i think of Moon in the 12th house i think of emotional burden or sacrifice, you can´t make everyone happy so at some point you will have two options, going for yourself and finally do something for you or go after others and losing yourself on the way..which one do you think is more imporant? Because the effect of this heavy 12th house is to make the native less focused on them and more focused on others and their needs. Also similar to the 9H moon they might find happiness away from homeland, away from toxic people, moving away is their escape for life and i know in what state our world is, everyone is working towards something and trust that new chances will always come and be there for you too.
"You and me run the same course"
Cancer Season is soon ending so I had to work on this ASAP! I don't know if I plan to make it with all the planets because it takes a lot of time đ..but who knows! đŤśđź have a great week guys!
