As an artist, I believe that the pursuit of art is about making space for truth, for vulnerability, and for the parts of our history that don’t always get to exist in rooms like this. This ’96/97 @viviennewestwood piece has lived in my mind for years because of how it manifests itself on the body. It holds contradiction in a way that feels honest to me. Intentionally crafted and designed by hand, it carries history, both beautiful and painful. This feels like my personal artist thesis statement. A visual currency for how I’ve learned to walk in my truth as a Black man, making space for my lineage that is rich, strong, and resilient. It’s about presence. It’s about allowing all of these truths to exist at once, & trusting that there is power in being seen fully, without apology. I wear it to honor that fullness. Art.An infinite source of healing.The observation of it.The pursuit of it.The surrender to it.

I am not as active on this account as I used to be 10 years ago. This blog has seen so many of my kpop eras, but never have I thought it was gonna see the departure of Mark Lee from NCT. Yall, I'm in shock.

Mark has worked so fucking hard for NCT and he deserves a long rest. But damn, my heart genuinely hurts. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for him.

I truly wish Mark the best. He's given basically his whole life to SM and NCT. I bet this decision was one of the toughest he's had to make, but knowing his members will stand behind him in his future endeavors, hopefully eased his mind.
