Akande wakes to the smell of food.

A culmination of meat and herbs, hearty and mouth-watering. The type of smell that cartoon characters would float towards in a dizzying trance. It all but startles him, nose quirking and stomach rumbling with a sensation of hunger he hadn't felt in a long time as he lurches upright.

The first thing he does is reach blindly for his arm. It's still gone, of course, but so is the gauntlet. A bitter snarl curls his lips, memories of defeat flooding back like a sour taste in his mouth. He recalls dragging himself for quite a while, the soft glow of lamplight being the final thing he saw before exhaustion overtook him.

It looked a lot like the lamp across from him, actually.

It reflected the light onto the ceiling with the same pattern. Like ripples of sunlight on water, and it dawns on him that someone had taken him in. Draped him haphazardly over their old sofa and chucked a crocheted blanket over his waist, as it was much too small to cover the expanse of his hulking form. Someone had saved his life, and he hadn't expected it to be you.

Sweet, little, blissfully unaware you.

Akande's footsteps were silent as he stood, your blanket sliding from where it was caught on his hip and onto the floor. You don't hear him coming. Not over your humming, nor over the clang of pots and pans as you begin to dish up. It makes him wonder if you knew exactly who you'd just welcomed into your home. If you were plain stupid or frighteningly brave.

He watches you from the window of your kitchenette for a while, memorising your patterns and observing details about your life. You have no photos on your ancient fridge, just a simple sunflower magnet, the colour faded from age. No dog. No ring on your finger. Not even a boyfriend, by the looks of your décor.

Or rather he did, until you turned around with a gasp and caught him staring. Dropping the steaming bowl of stew you were holding all down yourself at the mere sight of him up and moving.

Reinhardt is an honorable, honest, and jovial character. He is a protector at heart and would be intense in the sense that he's overbearing. Reinhardt would want to smother his darling lovingly with his affection.

He loves you, he'd do anything for you, he wants to be your shield.

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Reinhardt strays away from murder. His younger self might have beat up someone the moment they approached you. However, nowadays he saves it for when you could be in danger.

But that doesn't change the fact he still has to try and suppress the urge of using violence to isolate you from others.

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

He would treat you like you could break. Similar to Zarya, he's a strong character. When he has you in his care he doesn't want to mock you.

If anything he wants to provide and care for you. He wants to hold you and pamper you in affection. He means well with his love for you… but he isn't showing it right.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

He tries not to.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

I feel Reinhardt is very open with you. He can let his guard down around you in private and tries not to lie to you. He wants to be honest with his feelings towards you.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

Disappointed yet tries to work things out. He tries to calm you down knowing you can't hurt him. Afterwards he scolds you but offers to talk things out with you.

Will that make you feel better?

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

No and he doesn't.

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

When it comes to Reinhardt there isn't many. I feel one of the worst experiences would be him snapping and confronting someone too close to you.

Reinhardt may still have a temper to him so he'd start with arguing… but might start getting violent if he felt someone was trying to take you from him.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

Reinhardt wants to provide for you. He wants you to stay at home and wait for him. He wants to be your shield and please you in any way he can.

As long as you stay home and safe… he's happy.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

A little but he tries to cope. Younger him might lash out but not his current self… much.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

Very affectionate and nearly smothering. He tries to be careful as he doesn't want to hurt you. Yet he sticks closely around you and maybe even carries you around due to his strength.

He'd kiss you, hug you, and treat you like his cute hopefully spouse. He'd be incredibly protective of you, too.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

Reinhardt seems like he'd be very traditional. He compliments you, he flirts with you, he acts like a gentleman to “court” you. Reinhardt would start with being your friend then try to go from there.
