why arent y'all capable of just liking villains because theyre neat? why you gotta try and white-knight them and claim bad writing when they do something villainous or them being "misunderstood".

As sylvari get pretty much mass produced consider genetic mishaps, especially since the tree was attacked

I actually have a couple sylvari that fit the ‘genetic mishap’ categories! The ones that come to mind are...

Araksali- a noonbloom born with a very frail body. His bark is delicate, and often cracks or breaks off just from moving around. His internal structure isn’t much better! He’s a grouchy flower, but I can’t blame him, I would be too if I was in constant pain and being treated like a human baby by every mender and older Sylvari in existence.

Camainn- a duskbloom who’s growth was interrupted by the attack on the Pale Tree, and as a result, ended up looking a bit mordrem-y. You can see my first rough design for him here and my later sketches, including detail of his mouth, here. He’s supposed to look similar to a Rosy Maple moth! Camainn, despite his looks, is actually very naive and sweet.

I also have Samael, who doesn’t have a toon, but he’s based off of a sea urchin! He has venomous spines that grow from his back. I haven’t posted anything to tumblr of him yet, since his characterization right now boils down to “chaotic neutral assassin” but you can see his rough sketch design here!
