BLOGPOST, Writing for new Media : :My Standard Art Procedures Tutorial
The Forefront of media made developments to many things. Before the advent we had basic handwriting and engravings, but now, we have these computers and phones to which we can port our writing and content and still remains and to this day still sprout new things that we can use from personal to organizational.
Medium - I will now use my artblog in tumblr to be my medium. This will be engraved within the interwebs and will stay here for everyone to see. Like an echo in a cave this post will be perceived, but slowly. Since I am using new media for this the affordance is automated and this will amplify the medium.
The Constraint is the limitation of neglecting this account and a significant lowered follower count, I am most active in deviantart, and well... I should be active here too.
Doing: Neglecting this account results in lower follower and exposure ratio. I can fix that by being more active and posting here.
Meaning: I linked my deviantart, but I think the deviantart account catches all the attention.
Relating: My animesqe artstyle is seems to be very relatable to other artist; that was my hypothesis on deviantart, my art tends to expose alot of skin and most of my characters are female at the expense that I expose my art to many eyes from the world, they might not like it or they may like, I think it goes on their preference.
Thinking: The Anime artstyle has been used by many and My art is very anime style like to the point of permanence.
Being: Whatever they perceive of me, is just a snippet of the real me.
With that out of the way, please enjoy my content:
We start at the forming of a blank and transparent canvas. Humble Beginnings
Stage 1 is a start and opening to the character design. The Design might be finalized, but there is more to explore. I made the lines as clean as possible and atop a transparent canvas.
Stage 2, go for the flat colors and test them out if they fit. I made this one contrast her pale skin with her shadowy dress. Flat color is a door opened and another door awaiting.
Stage 3, Shadowing the subject is a subtle but complex addition to the piece, it adds depth, volume, shape and color to the piece.
Stage 4, another subtle touch, I added color to the lines to make the character look softer and add more color to the piece.
Stage 5, My artstyle is centered around being really colorful and shiny, I added more colors and shine to make it happen. Applying Illumination to the hair to make it sparkle and shine to the metallic parts to make them gleam.
Stage 6, I always put contrast to my art pieces and I happened to add some in this piece. Some touches to the skin, the miasmic look of the clothes and make-up for the character, I always put make-up in my characters.
Stage 8, as I did on the other one I put flat colors on the veil, but this time I lowered its opacity to make it more veil like.
Stage 9, Pretty simple, apply the same concept and methods as the last one and voila, A very ghostlike veil!!
Stage 10, The character is finished, and this is where the special effects come in. I added glows on the glowing parts and made her a ghostly green aura. With this the Character design is concluded.
Stage 11, As the art begins with the sketch, one might find the background simple and clean. I used colored lines to add spice to the background.
Stage 12, As the last one, I experimented and matched the flat colors. It is still quite simple, but we work with what we have.
Stage 13, for a wedding this might be too dark, with the shadows, but She IS the Shadow bride. I used brush textures and shading to apply this effect and it is looking quite good.
Stage 14, As a wedding altar, the floor should be shiny. I made use of light colors to sweep the area and make the dark cathedral brimming with light but not too much.
Stage 15, I added a light source above the cathedral to make it look more wedding like and ghost petals falling off the roof. And thus I reach a wedding like scene. I made use of bright colors and particles for this effect.
Stage 16, With the character and background concluded all we have to do is match them together and combine them. A fitting match for the bride and the altar.
