Me and my wife are play DnD with our friends and our characters totally aren’t based on wolfstar… totally

My wife’s character is based on Remus and he’s a werewolf wizard.

Mine is based on Sirius and is a high elf bard.

Remus with Lupus (or any other kind of autoimmune disease) always jokes that he’s on steroids. He says it with a completely blank face, which is easy because it’s true. He finds it funny that what the medical world refers to as steroids and what the regular world refers to as steroids is so vastly different.

Sirius is just keeping a blank face too, nodding profusely. Internally he is dying of laughter.

Everyone just stares at the lanky man that is Remus Lupin, with their head tilted in confusion because of the suggestion.

In case you didn’t know, what most people refer to as steroids are Anabolic steroids! While what the medical world often refers to as steroids are Corticosteroids! They are extremely different substances, with anabolic steroids being synthetic versions of testosterone used for things like building muscles. On the other hand, corticosteroids are anti inflammatory drugs and are used to treat a whole slew of autoimmune diseases!

sirius is simultaneously the type of person to A) be incredibly cautious to apply his nail polish carefully so it's looking perfect, B) constantly have super messy nail polish because he's too easily distracted and allergic to boredom to wait til it's dried, and C) purposefully have messy looking nail polish because he thinks it's cooler chopped off at the edges

adrenaline junkie teenage sirius black. who likes to execute high g loops on his broom and always flies too fast toward the floor before braking at the last second. who drives way above the speed limit, has a taste for jumping off cliffs into the ocean when he's at the blacks' summer mansion, and is always coming up with the most deranged, dangerous pranks. who likes to balance on the edge of the astronomy tower window on bad days, enjoys the rush of alcohol a little too much, and is always swallowing the nastiest potions there are just to see if they make him high. who keeps purposely getting into fights just to have an excuse to beat and be beaten. who has one self destructive idea after another as a way of keeping the bad thoughts completely buried. after all, he can't be bothered to be sad, angry, or traumatized if he's too busy fearing for his life.

like imagine, its post prank, sirius-angst, he's miserable, his friends arent talking to him, regulus doesnt know whats happening and is like -39% skilled at comforting ppl, so he's just petting his head like sirius is a toy cat and regulus is the toddler that was gifted him

anyway, in his misery, sirius claims that he's always been an awful person

and regulus, is like, 'wait are you supposed to let ppl talk or tell them theyre wrong, why isnt there a guide on how to comfort ppl' in his head

so sirius just keeps on rambling and rambling, and then he's like 'im also a shit brother'

and regulus is like 'shit now i have to say something' but before he can open his mouth, sirius is recounting the time he was super evil to regulus

sirius: you were like 6 and you were having a birthday party and we were in the black manor and everyone was there, and everything was so pretty, and they got you a really nice cake, and it was big and pretty and perfect, but (becuz im secretly evil) i got jealous at the attention that you were getting so i pushed it and it fell and they had to get a second store-bought one and i messed up your clothes and you had to change into the back up robes and i dont even know why i ruined it all, but i did

regulus: i dont think ive ever done that. but no seriou--that's not what happened. its true there was a big cake, made specifically for me, but it was pink and girly and i hated it, and i sat under one of the tables and cried, and you found me and next thing i knew you'd pushed the cake onto the floor

regulus: and sure i wouldnt have cared now. but back then? i didnt have the words for it, i just knew i hated it when anyone called me that name or treated me like i was a girl, and wasnt like you. and i hated the robes too, disgustingly girly as they were. you got them so dirty, adn the guests were just about coming in, and uncle alphard swooped in before maman could do anything and said he'd take care of it, and i got to wear robes that matched yours and eat a cake that wasnt girly. and it was honestly a really good birthday, and it was because of you
