i feel like people talk about parasocial relationships like they’re inherently a bad thing, when like, the bad thing is when people cross each other’s boundaries.

as an author, artist, performer, etc, you do have a relationship with the audience, it’s just not an intimately personal one, nor is it one that’s inherently the same on both ends, but that doesn’t make it bad or any less moral or expected.

with friends, family, loved ones, i have boundaries, and i do with an audience too. i dont want people to stop engaging with my art or even finding that they’re learning about us as authors by doing that because of this like fear of being parasocial.

are you aware of the account "kimreeve" by chance? because if that isn't like a sideblog of yours or something, they rb'd one of your brushweek arts then afterwards reposted it with the exact same caption, no credit, and tagged it as it fit was their own art. weirdest way to repost/steal art i've ever seen someone do if it's not your acc
