A while back I ordered this mysterious raz “prototype” mega bloks figure off eBay because the listing perplexed me and I just finally got home to see it.

We thought he may be a 3d print but he feels mass produced (the plastic has more weight to it and is smoother than pla could be). The patches on his bag are definitely printed on and his paint is shoddy but the plastic feels good quality. His joints all work and his head can pivot.

So this all leaves more questions than answers. Does anyone know if mega bloks ever actually pursued a psychonauts collab or is this just a baffling bootleg?

Since I posted Starflight earlier, it was only natural to follow up with Mastermind! Here’s the sketch and then my attempt at coloring it. Took inspo from the graphic novel, but I’m feeling so-so with it.

Here are some other sketches. He’s very clearly inspired by a certain Treasure Planet character.

I could imagine him sounding like David Hyde Pierce’s Dr. Doppler, but my personal voice claim for Mastermind is John Aylward as Dr. Magnusson from Half-Life 2: Episode 2. I like the grumbly, authoritative quality of his voice and I think he fulfills the role of a beleaguered, exasperated, condescending scientist very well. I liked the vision so much, I did this gestural doodle with one of his lines,
