Hey, this is relevant again after 7 years~
Relevant again today, 12 August 2026.
i hate how much ai has taken the joy out of seeing something cool. you used to see something cool, like a really intricate drawing or a video of someone doing an insane skill or two animals doing something cute, and because there were no mental gymnastics involved in discerning whether or not it was 'real' you could sit there and have the joy of like, "wow! how did they do that! how cool is it that they made that! what a wonderful moment to have captured!" and now every time i see something remarkable i hate that i have to sit there and be like okay let me go frame by frame to make sure everything lines up. let me double check the page this comes from. let me scroll through the comments to make sure no one called out something i missed. like i want the joy of being able to trust someone else's creation back, please

These individuals tend to have their head in the clouds, and are reported to prefer the escapism of fiction over reality.
quick someone tell them!!
You find me at a very Dip and Pip time of my life so I'm trying to figure out how to draw them
Partied too hard
Saw a post about Stratt and Grace getting married so he couldnât testify against her in court and I believe the interaction goes something like as follows:
âGrace, I need your signature.â
Grace looked up from his work in his closet of an office. Stratt closed the door behind her.
âAn autograph? Iâm flattered.â
She pushed the work off his already disheveled desk and set a single paper on top. It kind of looked like his degree, it kind of looked like-
âA marriage license? Well, now Iâm really flattered.âïżŒ
âFor legal reasons. Just sign.â Stratt muttered.
âAre you serious?â
Of course she was serious. She only was serious. But she seemedâŠuncomfortable? The feeling looked strange on her. Eyes dart between the paper and him. Arms crossed over her chest as if hugging herself. It was definitely a new look. They were in new territory.
âIâm not the marrying type.â said Grace. âAnd I think I forgot to propose.â
Stratt breathed in deeply. Steeling herself.
âGrace,â Her hands were fidgeting with the cuff of her sleeve. âWhat Iâm doing here is illegal. Iâve broken alot of rules to give the crew a chance to save us. But once the mission beginsâŠthe world order will need to go back to how it was.â
Grace listened intently trying to make eye contact with her glassy gaze. He hadnât thought to much about the legality of it all. After all, that was her job.
âI will be put on trial. I will be found guilty. I will serve the rest of my life behind bars. That is my cost.â Stratt continued, âYou, the team, will all be fine. But-â
She pushed the license closer to Grace.
âSpouses donât testify in court.â
Finally she looked at him. She wasnât telling him to sign. If that was the case she probably wouldâve just forged his signature. Hell, she probably has a whole team just for that purpose. She was asking him.
His choice. Just between the two of them.
âWe donât have to sleep together, right?â
Her eyes went big. âGod Grace! No! Just sign the damn paper!â she huffed.
He smiled. And put his name under hers.
Husband and wife.
Well, more like âMost powerful person in the worldâ and âSome guy she kept around.â But still. Till death do they part.

Sratt when she sends Grace to space:
âAh well, there goes my husband I guess.â
Then years down the line someone tries to marry her. She has to explain how she technically sent her first husband into space against his will.
Sketchbook drawing from a moment in VerĆce, Hungary.
I took a little sketching trip to the farmer's market this weekend - I had to haunt the benches for a while to nab a spot in the shade, but I finally got a good spot to sketch (and some organic potatoes!)
