My skin is the canvas Your lips are the brush The best artwork takes time We don't have to rush. Sweat drips down like paint And mixes with mine We're colorful together Together, we rhyme. Painting our names louder With every stroke (of the brush) The har(moan)ious hues Just can't be hushed. You draw my body closer I hear the beating of your heart We're a masterpiece together Together, we make art.

Her lovely crown of curls Sit proudly on her head Strong & independent She makes her own bread She sits back on her throne Humming a soulful tune Her Melanin always poppin’ Like a needle to a balloon.

You thought it would be euphoric But chasing right after it.. was regret. It didn't fill the void in your heart but You thought it was the best you'd get. You did all you could to feel loved But it left you feeling worse. Sorrow seeped through your heart Until you started loving yourself first. You finally saw your value. You realized you're a treasure. You deserve long-lasting happiness and are Worth more than momentary pleasure.

Lil honey bee your musical buzz is gracious and sweet to my soul. Your golden syrup drips from the honeycomb onto my brown skin, and soothes every wound. My lungs fill with your sugary aromatic smell that take me to a high even drugs can't suffice.

so tight that your hug will be imprinted into my very brain. So when we inevitability have to let go I will remember what it feels like for your chest to be pressed against mine, and your arms to be wrapped around my lower back, and the scent of your cologne lingering in my mind, so I can remember what it feels like to be completely and utterly happy.
