One of the struggles of being a black nerd is having to say oodles and noodles instead of ramen to other black people
duality
You’ve always been able to teleport since the day you were born, with one exception: all eyes have to be turned away from you for you to do it. One day as you lay in bed in the privacy of your own home, you try to teleport but discover that you cannot.
YOU CANNOT FAST TRAVEL WHEN THERE ARE ENEMIES NEARBY

I’m gonna be blunt: you bring little worth to a friendship if you’re apathetic toward the good in your friends’ lives. If you shrug when they come to you with little things that they’re happy about, they will eventually stop coming to you with anything and you’ll wonder why that relationship feels stale. Practice genuine excitement with the people in your life. If you see a friend try to downplay how excited they are about something just be like “yoooo! This is a cool thing! You’re a lovely person and you deserve lovely things! I love you!“
I think it’s easy to be someone people complain to, but it’s just as if not more important to be someone they know they’re allowed to be excited and proud and happy around.
So these Christian anti-feminist protestors showed up at my school and were just yelling misogynist things at everyone, when this guy suddenly walks up in front of them mid-rant and just starts…. singing opera

Programmable LED fans are the latest thing in cosplay technology. The price of admission is pretty steep though. At $400 per fan, it will cost a pretty penny to become a proper wizard.
If you are like Wong and believe attachment to the material is detachment from the spiritual, buying these would contradict that philosophy. A cosplaying conundrum to be sure. Keep saving up those rupees I guess.

reblog the Don Draper of getting a job he’s unqualified for and you’ll have 10 years of getting jobs you’re unqualified for
No but my dad actually did this at McDonalds in the 70s!
So here’s a true story: my father, sometime in the 70s was looking for his first job. He went to the local McDonalds and told the staff, [manager’s name] said I was supposed to start today. They took his word for it and started training him and by the time the manager saw him and asked who he was, people just said “oh that’s the new guy.”
Somehow this actually worked. My dad worked there for a couple of years as a cook. He even won an award plaque which he had on the wall until the day he died.
