no one asked but the thing i just don’t find compelling about the young sherlock show is that it tries to create a holmes&watsonesque dynamic between holmes & moriarty when for prequel set at oxford the dynamic that would actually be really compelling would be having moriarty as sherlock’s (at least 20 years older) professor whose approval he is desperately seeking on account of desiring validation for how very clever he is
