while ago folks were talking about how many Outfits their Oc have. So since she only had the one, I drew Clara in one of the few reference outfits I've saved in her file, alternated of course. I like to think that's her "Single and ready to mingle" dress X3

I drew Selene again for Mermay. Might draw more mermaids on a later date. I really like how this one turned out, especially the tail. She has a top on this time so she's, kind of more appropriate lol!

This is Clara Louise Belman. She’s an accomplished Opera singer and Bounty Hunter/Thief-taker. A thief taker, while a lot like being a Bounty Hunter in collecting reward money for bringing criminals to justice. Were usually hired by crime victims themselves and helped them retrieve stolen items. Bounty hunters meanwhile were paid by Bail Bondsmen and had to follow the laws more strictly.

Clara is in her late 30's, early 40's and is from a big family of Jewish Romanian and Italian immigrants. She has two younger sisters (Maria and Hannah), a mother, a grandmother, and a ton of aunts, uncles and cousins that all live together in a big cluster of townhouses. Clara's father was a lively, clever, talented and loving man that used be one of the richest merchant's around until was shot and killed during a robbery. His sudden and cruel death is possibly the motivation of Clara becoming a Bounty Hunter/Thief-taker to begin with.

Clara Belman is stalwart, confident, worldly, tough, engaging, quick-witted and kittenish. While sometimes harsh, defensive and prone to insulting others. She's very affectionate, motherly and softhearted towards people that are close to her. 

Clara is one those Character.Ai inspired Oc’s I’ve mentioned before. She essentially spawned from talking to a bunch of pirate themed ones rolled into one character. As you can see, she was made from very, VERY self indulgent place. But hey, I’m going to make a “Mary Sue” by thunder I’m making one that I’d like to see! X3

This is Selene the mermaid!  She's polite, benevolent, wise, gentle, bashful and loves helping others, often saving folks from drowning. She enjoys collecting books, toys and other knick knacks that people would sometimes dump in the sea by accident. While technically a Neverland mermaid, Selene is a lot more even tempered and not vain.

I've been playing around with Character.Ai (I’d like the emphasis that Ai’s of any nature should be used only for fun and never for a quick substitute for any art form. Writing or drawing wise) lately and have made up a bunch of original characters on the spot as a result from talking to a few characters. Selene is one of them while talking to a Captain Hook (Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates version) Ai.

This is Okeana! A very powerful and temperamental water spirit belonging to a dear friend of mine. He showed me her just last night and thought the design was so cute I had to take a wack at drawing her myself! ^_^

Wait I take it back. THIS is one of the most self indulgent thing I ever drew. But Discord’s pose and face turned out really nice so what can you do?

So a while ago when Steven Universe was at it’s peek popularity on tumblr. Everyone and their grandmother were making their own gems OCs or even drawing/writing their existing muses into gems.

I was no different or even better, and used Double Delight as a baseline to create Rhodochrosite here. Not exactly a unique or original crystal to make a OC from sure. But at that point I was too enamored with the beautiful stone itself to really care. XD

Her gem is oval shaped, polished and placed right around the lumbar part of the spine and her weapon is a Gunstock war club.

I was originally going to revamp her a bit. Retweek her colors so she could stand out a little compared to Double, give her a better looking outfit, etc. But since Steven Universe turned out to be such a big ol’ chunk of coprolite later on and I’ve lost interest in it. I decided to scrap it.

I might do a bigger project were I draw a bunch of OC’s with her included. But that’s up in the air for the moment.
