Sometimes, I remember that I am an adult with free will. When I do, I use it to commission acclaimed thunder-and-woodsmoke voiced British actor Ralph Ineson to read one of my favorite mini-monologues from the Creature in Frankenstein. And it worked. And he did it so brilliantly in like 40 seconds. And now this exists, and his voice is almost exactly how I’ve imagined the Creature’s sounding for years. And I just think a) we need a full audio drama now and b) Ralph Ineson is one of the greatest acting talents of our generation and I cannot BELIEVE he did this.

shoutout to the words "overmorrow" and "ereyesterday". english losing these words was stupid. "the day after tomorrow" "the day before yesterday" clunky-ass constructions. revolting. i'm bringing overmorrow and ereyesterday back in my idiolect and there is nothing you can do about it
I cannot believe there's absolutely no way to watch free shows and movies anymore, there are too many paid streaming platforms and pirating websites have viruses and ads preventing you from watching it uninterrupted((.)) id rather follow the rules and purchase media moving forward because it is too inconvenient. Seriously, free and no ads or viruses with 1080p streaming is DEAD.
Exactly! It's freaking annoying when I want to watch movies but I would have to subscribe to like 24 different services . Just to watch the shows that I like.
Oh and wouldn’t it be nice for cartoons? Just anything animated. I just wanna stream things without getting conned. Must I be cartoonless forever?
i like using streaming apps but there are waaaay too many and they're all stealing my data .i wish there was a secure and organized way to have millions of shows and movies available one one app. but alas. we've truly gone full circle back to cable + now it spies on you. its a real shame. i dont want to fill my device storage with tons of boring and stupid cash grabs.
These kink posts just keep getting more and more esoteric

I SAW THIS IN THE PORTLAND ART MUSEUM! ITS HUGE!
it shimmers like no gemstones i've ever seen: green as malachite and emerald but shot through with opal, gold, copper. photographs can't do it justice because of how it shines, as well as the way the actual material elements have their own dimensions. you can lean in and study all the fine lines of the circuits or step back and admire how the rearranged whole forms new patterns. it's one of the most beautiful creations i've ever seen.
and the winner of superwholock is officially??? no one. we all lost. congrats team
Wild to think how invested I once was in captain america. They really put something in the winter soldier (2014). you had to be there
With all the talk and praise about how Gothic cinema is so back, I really hope to see people keep this energy up if/when Mārama releases internationally. This looks like it's going to be a really gorgeous film and not only is it one of the first Aotearoa/New Zealand Gothic films, but it's specifically a Māori Gothic horror.
And don't even get me started on the poster design!! I gasped when I saw the tag line on the trailer
Whakapapa. Whānau. Utu.
I like what ive seen so far of Ariana, I enjoyed her as Tui in Madam earlier last year, so I'm excited to see her step up into this leading role.
test weaving of penelope's tapestry on the chiusi skyphos:

there are some adjustments I need to make for tension, but I'd like to make the next version into a header band for a warp-weighted loom so I can try weaving the whole pot, including telemachus and penelope.
May we all know decadence such as this
