Rereading Rose’s arc in Homestuck, the thing about Rose is that she doesn’t start rebelling against the game out of nowhere. Her impetus do blow up a gate and start destroying the game is John and Jade dying cruel, pointless deaths that weren’t their fault

Rose takes the game more seriously than anyone else during the first couple acts. She does what she’s supposed to do. Then, the game dooms them anyway

So yeah, her crashing out and burning it all down is more than justified
