Especially if you live in a state with a vulnerable republican senator! Iowa, North Carolina, Arizona, Georgia, Montana, Colorado, Maine - these senators could very well lose their seats. If they get enough calls, they might well vote to defer the nomination rather than risk a backlash in the election.

Susan Collins got TRASHED for supporting Kavanaugh. Republican senators are SCARED right now. Use that to your advantage. Call.

Another speedpaint session with Bob Ross done, and this time, I recorded a little process video. I had a lot of fun painting with as close to the same color palette that Bob uses and trying to use digital techniques to mimic traditional ones. Between figuring out how painting works in Clip Studio Paint and editing motion graphics and then rendering...like 5 times...and then the initial file got corrupted, I’d say this was an ordeal, but I mean, that IS editing. I still had a ton of fun and hope you like the end product and the process video.

Life is Strange; Before the Storm criticism -- David Madsen was just a lil TOO douchey. Like, I get it. He’s a vet with issues separating himself from active duty to civilian life, but telling Chloe that her “vacation [from having a father figure] was over” is just insensitive and garbage. At least by the end of LiS 1, you saw David’s true grief over failing Chloe as a father when you tell him Chloe was killed. You get to know him a more rounded character and not “shitty dude is shitty.” I just wish that could’ve been portrayed in similar light, or maybe even show that David was TRYING to be a parent, just not doing a great job at it.

I think one of the most heartbreaking takeaways I have from Life is Strange is that in no timeline does Chloe really get to be happy and feel secure. In the final scene of the first game, you ultimately choose between Chloe or Arcadia Bay but there’s still no guarantee that either of you survive afterwards.  The game was about working through the grief and concept of wanting to go back and change future/present outcomes so choosing Chloe in the end seems like an incomplete way to conclude the themes.

I think I saw something about them appearing for a second in LiS 2, but I haven’t played or seen any playthroughs to know that for sure.
