Planning

Haruhu fely like a sacrificial lamb of sorts. The next host to have a borthday in the year would be Kyoya-senpai. Granted the planning was starting nearly 3 months early was something Haruhi found to be overkill but Tamaki senpai had bribed her into being the one to fond out what kind of cake hed prefer. Sent out on their day off armed with a tea towel, an apron tied arou d her waist and a trayful of cakes, she was determined not to fail.

She walked,over to Kyoya who was typing away on his computer seemingly transcribing from his black notebook. She walked over and set the tray of petitely cut cakes in front of him.

“Tamaki-senpai wanted me to bring you some samples of cake he and Honey-senpai have,thought about switching to. But rather than getting only flavors they like they want flavors everyone will like. Who knows what your customers will like,more than you? Will you try some?” Haruhi asked hoping she wasn’t breaking his concentration. She had been given a class periods notice to cime up witha reason to find what kind of cake Kyoya-senpai liked and this was the best he could do.

Kyoya had known about the surprise birthday party since tamaki had started planning it. He was so bad at hiding things, it was almost endearing. He knew they would send haruhi out to try and get dirt on him, since she was the one who wasn’t afraid of him. Understandable on their part, but also predictable.

There was nothing kyoya could do to prevent the birthday party, he had tried many times over the years. So he figured- instead of trying to stop it this time, he could have a bit of... fun with interfering with the planning. It would certainly spice up the whole process.

Kyoya looked down at the cakes on the table, tapping his chin with his pen.

“Go with the vanilla. I’m not personally a fan, but it’s more likely to be a crowd favorite. I can organize a cake tasting event for the customers of the club to attend and vote on what flavor we should carry.” He explained, going back to tapping away on his keyboard.
