I think the male privilege debate would be improved if we had a more solid definition for what male privilege is. male privilege is not just "benefits" that are given to men, because cis men experience what everyone should experience.
male privilege is not like, youre being given a little dessert with your meal. everyone is given a meal, but if youre a cis man, you get to eat it without someone putting sand all over your food. you dont even have to think about the possibility of eating sand, ever! but the woman next to you has spent her whole life trying to pick out edible bites of food and getting grit out of her teeth that she doesnt even think about it anymore. the sand is misogyny, the food is life.
male privilege is when you never have to worry about or be victimized by misogyny, and how relatively easy life is without that weighing on you.
with this definition it becomes apparent that no trans person has male privilege. trans men do face misogyny, both before and after transition, and the hypervigilance is instilled in us forever no matter how well we pass or stealth. obviously i dont need to tell you that trans women experience misogyny; transmisogyny is a particularly violent, cruel and insidious form of it that fucks with you severely.
the patriarchy is rigged towards cisgender heterosexual men only and male privilege is not something that can be gained, because it represents the ideal of how things should be for everyone in a world where no one is victimized by misogyny.

Also, even though it’s likely that gooseworx was terminated due to tumblr’s transmisogynistic biases and that is something worth speaking about, I appreciate people in the notes talking about how poc (especially Black people) who have rightfully called out the racism in her works and fandom are now going to get hit with even more accusations of transmisogyny as a way to silence them and that is not okay.

primarily because i think its fucking weird to have catty little insults for trans people we disagree with, even and perhaps especially when we disagree with them over actually harmful things they've done or rhetoric they contribute to. its unhelpful and adds fuel to the fire of emotion-first "my pain justifies being an asshole, if you want me to be kinder you just don't get my suffering" trans infighting, and no matter how good it feels i do not think it is right! it hurts all of us whether directly or indirectly because it contributes to a toxic culture, and it is genuinely poison to organizing socially and politically against patriarchy.
but also, on a practical level (which as a pragmatist i do not think is actually separate from the ethical level), its a bad fucking look! it is weird and shitty that people are so invested in coming up with catty little insults, or just adopting pre-existing slurs, to describe trans people they think are being transmisogynistic instead of just saying they are being transmisogynistic, and i think it is illustrative of the trends prevalent in the "transandrophobia isn't real" sphere that this is a thing people engage in and defend so much. if you agree with that point, you should understand that turning around and calling trans women "birthday girls" weakens that criticism! it makes it look hypocritical and easily written off!
when done right, taking the moral high ground should strengthen your arguments by making it so that people cannot argue you are being cruel or vindictive or bigoted when you make your point. it may be less satisfying but it is all around better for all of us. if you genuinely want there to be less cruelty from trans people towards trans people, you have to take some responsibility for the role you play in that. we all do! if The Discourse is really pissing you off, find ways to process that anger and frustration and pain that don't contribute to the very thing causing them in the first place.

It really annoys me when people say that trans men have privilege over trans women because “men of minority groups always have privilege over women of the same minority group”. Like okay but that’s cis people. That’s cis men. It’s entirely different for trans people??? Name me one privilege or benefit that trans men get over trans women that doesn’t require the trans man to be stealth.
literallly the ENTIRE THING about being trans is that gender is more complicated for us than it is for cis people. the idea that gender dynamics work the exact same for trans people as they do for cis people is misunderstanding why men tend to have privilege over women in other groups.

anyway. for one, radical feminists are all racist. we're just starting there. radical feminism is rooted in racism, and it is specifically rooted in the self victimization of white women in order to enact racism on poc, particularly black men. black men HAVE been talking about this. the terms "karen" and "white woman tears" among others came from black men talking about radical feminism and white women weaponizing their white privilege and societally-perceived victim status against black and brown people
i didnt say that white trans women are uniquely racist, and im not sure what you mean by that. racism is also intersectional. a white woman can be racist in a way that is different from a white man. radical feminism seeks to paint white women as the most victimized class, which is an extremely appealing belief system for white women who dont want to acknowledge their white privilege or their place in perpetrating racism. ive interacted with several white trfs who have said that acknowledging/calling out the racism of white trans women in the trans community is transmisogynistic, because they (and you) dont want to acknowledge the fact that you benefit from white privilege as white people, and yes, even white trans women. being trans doesn't make you non white. being trans doesnt stop you from benefitting from white privilege and enacting racism on poc and especially trans poc
i have seen white trfs (singularly, but that doesn't mean that others didnt agree with them):
-claim that they are limited in their ability to enact racism as trans women
-that indigenous americans and black people/other poc living in the united states benefit from american imperialism
i have seen white trfs (plural, many times) claim:
-that calling out/acknowledging racism from white trans women is transmisogynistic
-claim that trans men are "the white people of the trans community"
-talk over trans moc when they are talking about their experiences with racism/transandronoir/misogynoir, and their experiences as trans moc in a deeply racist community (the trans community in general has a huge racism problem, ive talked about that before)
-apply the work of historical black trans women in the trans/queer community to white trans women in order to silence trans men, while refusing to acknowledge the community involvement of historical black transmasculine people (and often times hiding their transmasculine status)
-claim that the only issue with radical feminism is that it excludes trans women, while refusing to acknowledge the racism inherent to radical feminism
-accuse trans men of "weaponizing white women tears" despite being white women themselves
-claim that the person who first used the term transandrophobia was a white detrans terf. none of these things are true
this profile is several years old and i have reblogged and posted many times about all of these things, especially the inherent racism in radical feminism, and you can easily find examples on my page. that is, if you want to look. im not going through my whole page to find examples, even if i did you either wouldn't read/acknowledge them, or youd do what you always do and make up some shit to get mad at again
white trans women are not more racist than other groups. radical feminists are. i was talking about trfs specifically because i was commenting on the fact that trans men and our allies arent reacting to the inherent racism of trfs/radfems in general enough, and are focusing on things like pedophilic behavior. which, trans women are not more prone to pedophilic behavior, but like enough trf figureheads have been exposed for that kinda shit that this (trans men and our allies focusing on certain trfs pedophilia and not the racist shit they post) is a pattern ive noticed, which is why i was talking about it. i dont believe that trans women are likely to be pedophiles, nor do i think that trfs/radfems are (I don't know for sure at least), but i was pointing out the way in which people will gloss over the racism in trfism and just focus on some of them being pedophiles

I've seen a Black transandrobro call the increase in trans women's V-coding a "saving grace" of the Trump administration. I've seen a transandrobro post about how trans women don't get raped enough to belong in women's DV shelters. Does this mean these actions apply to you?

im not "associating an ideology with racism," radical feminism is a racist ideology. it associated itself with racism. its not even necessarily about what individual radical feminists do, the whole ideology is rooted in racism. if you dont want me to "associate" "trans inclusive" radical feminism with racism, then dont be radical feminists, because radical feminism is a racist ideology

i talk about trans "inclusive" radical feminism and trfs because i am a trans man and that directly affects me, and there isnt enough discussion about it. everyones talking about regular terfs. i have been threatened with physical/sexual violence, misgendered, harrassed, stalked, ect by trans radfems for being a trans man who is vocal about his experiences as a trans man. but make no mistake, all radical feminism is rooted in racism, and all radical feminists are racist. terfs and other cis-centric radfems arent any less or more racist than trfs. and on top of that, the trans community in general has a huge racism problem, and the lgbtq community also does and always has. theres a reason the progress flag was made and theres a reason that a lot of people dont like it because its "ugly" or whatever they say. ive talked about racism in the trans community before, i happen to be really invested in this specifically. trans women being radical feminists doesn't make them/radical feminism not racist. being trans doesnt make you less prone to racism or less racist in general. if youre upset by that, idk what to tell you other than hit dogs holler
