I know this is literally missing the point of the whole scene but I kinda just want to fixate on the tenderness of them checking each other over when they wake up

Caleb doesn’t just point and say “Beau, there’s an eye on your hand,” he softly tells her to look, and gently grabs her hand to physically show her, to ease her into it, to not slap her in the face with it. And then he asks her to turn around and she does without thinking, when she usually skirts around being looked after, when he used to be so distant. And she, without even asking, darts a look at the back of HIS neck too, and is already scanning him in worry enough to spot his own eye before he’s even managed to get his shirt off to look himself.

Sorry I just love how palpably concerned they were for each other, and how much they LET the other be concerned without bluster or avoidance for once. That they’ve gained a level of comfort and trust with the other to allow unquestioned physical vulnerability in such a disoriented state… I don’t think we’ve seen such a wholly gentle moment from them before.

Very in character it takes a murder cult for it to happen tho
