An Angel at My Table (1990), dir. Jane Campion
I just want to say as my first like actual official post on this account that I still mourn Luke everyday. It's been almost four years now and I still get sad every time I remember him, like my heart hurts typing this out right now </3
Don't you dare go hollow.
Jon raging over Satin’s poor treatment while there’s zombies afoot:
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Part 42 of A Slow Burning Fire, Tended With Care
Satin hated it. He hated watching the groomsman adjust Jon’s cloak across the stallion’s rump. Hated watching Lord Royce and a dozen other men saddle up beside him, hated listening to the hustling and bustling of Winterfell as the king’s entourage, Ghost, and men-at-arms readied to depart. He hated the wailing cries and foot-stomping of Rickon and the quiet, disguised sniffles of Arya, and the gentle farewells of Sansa. He hated the creaking of the wagon loaded up with a wood and iron covered crate hiding its ominous cargo and the cawing of spooked crows and the uneasy nickering of horses. He hated the shouted farewells and the well wishes from the castle’s servants and nobility alike, the waving of handkerchiefs, and the way Jon raised a hand to them in thanks. He hated all of it. He hated it because he was not a part of it.
All of Winterfell seemed to have gathered to watch their king and his men depart for Dragonstone. It was not too large of a party who was to be heading south. Two sailing ships’ worth. The king, a handful of lords, men-at-arms, and advisors. Satin, to his dismay, was not one of them.
(Jon must travel south to treat with the Dragon Queen, but Winterfell, well, Winterfell needs a steward)
Made a playlist to enjoy reading some good old gay yearning with a side of codependency 😌
Songs Jon and Satin would listen to while Ghost sleeps by the fire
This pain will end one day, and I believe in that. We are going through great hardships, but hope has always been in my heart. The freedom for Palestine is now closer than ever🥹🇵🇸
✦ Tʜᴇ ᴡᴀʀ ɪɴ ɢᴀᴢᴀ ʜᴀs ᴇɴᴅᴇᴅ ✦
I am Kareman, a Palestinian mother from Gaza, and we are still alive after 475 days of war that began on October 7, 2023, and ended today. However, despite being alive, pain and sorrow have not left us. Everything around us has turned to rubble. I once said, "This pain will end one day, and I believe in that," but I never imagined that the pain would follow us in this way.
We returned to our home, only to find that the pain has deepened. Our home, which once embraced us, is now destroyed. The fishing boat, which was our only source of livelihood, was consumed by fire, taking away all hope. The fishing nets and equipment, which were our means of survival, have been burned. My husband, who supported us with his work, now has nothing but memories😭💔
As for me, I was a children's teacher, teaching them to love life despite the difficulties, but my school, which was once a place of hope, is now nothing but ash. We have lost everything, but we still hold on to hope thanks to Hamoud, who gives us the strength to keep going.
Today, we need you more than ever. We ask for your help in repairing my husband's fishing boat, as we have no other source of income. If we don't get the support to repair it, we will remain trapped in a cycle of poverty and need. But if we stand together, we can rise again.
Please, don't leave our families in this dark path. Every donation, no matter how small, represents a chance for us to live again.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your continued support, and I trust that hope will return thanks to your help.

What’s happening in Gaza is not just bombing — it’s silent extermination; the occupation knows exactly what it's doing, people are being killed slowly in a sealed cage, with no food, no medicine, no way out; starvation continues, and the few food alternatives are expired or contaminated, there are no vegetables, no fruits, no meat, patients are dying, and even the healthy are falling sick — heart disease, kidney failure, stomach and colon cancer, chronic fatigue, anemia, and more; we are being watched like lab rats, the goal is to break us or push us to flee, this is a legal crime using hunger as a weapon, a political crime when our slow death is blamed on conflict, and a moral crime when the world watches and says nothing; please help us, don’t let us die slowly — even a small donation could save a life, the link is in my bio.

the other Bennet sister fills me with so much hope. for the girls who were never chosen. for the girls who have never fit in. for the girls who’s sisters naturally seem to flourish socially but couldn’t understand why it wasn’t the same for them. for the girls who are overlooked. for the girls who dream of a gentle and stable love. for the girls who tell everyone they’re okay with being alone. this one was for us, love is possible.

Okay, you know what? I am just going to say it. I want fully unhinged Armand when it comes to Daniel and their past.
I want him to go "I let go of you, my love, to save you" with his I couldn't prevent it tone and Daniel to laugh cruelly and say "you didn't let go of shit, pal".
I want a scene where Daniel slowly uncovers, in like a saw movie twist, that it wasn't just a 12 year relationship that he erased from his memories....
But also that he would show up every time Louis would go away, or whenever Daniel was a little too happy with his life and family, that they have had MULTIPLE different relationships and affairs.
That it was Armand who helped ruin his marriages. That Armand owned the publishing houses that he used for his books. That he would wake up in the middle of the night and the sleep paralysis demon was Armand. That Armand is his landlord and owns every single building Daniel has ever lived in.
That Daniel somehow owns huge lots of land and property and a fucking Island all under his name all bought by Armand. That there are a couple of wearhouses filled with copies of his books that Armand bought to keep him in the New York's best selling list for a few more weeks.
That when he relapsed it was Armand who was his dealer (clean drugs). He was another junkie who made sure he wouldn't overdose. His secretary for a month. His one night stand. His student over and over every time he agreed to give a class. A producer for his master class.
That maybe everyone in his life has met him in one way or another. That he was one of his daughter's university friends. That he was one of his wife's colleagues. I want him to look at old family vacation albums and find him in the background
I want Daniel to slowly realize that when he looks back to his human life after 1973, Armand is there, somehow, somewhere, a shadow, his long slender fingers all over everything.
