Jason`s MOM
The neon of Crime Alley did not illuminate; it bled. It stained the rain-slicked asphalt a bruised purple, throwing long, distorted shadows against the peeling brick of tenements that had been dying since before the Waynes fell.
In Gotham, you either became the teeth or you became the meat.
You had chosen the teeth a long time ago. Specifically, ten years ago, on a night when the rain smelled of iron and cheap gin, and the world decided to rip away whatever soft, naive girl you had been. The man who had trapped you in that dead-end alley didn't have a face you remembered anymore; he only had the shape of a nightmare. But out of that violation, out of the blood and the shattering of your youth, a heartbeat had formed.
Jason.
The day he was born in a squalid, freezing room with only a rusted radiator for warmth, you had looked into his glassy, newborn eyes and made a silent, terrifying vow to whatever gods ignored the slums of Gotham: I will be the monster so he doesn't have to be, so that no harm will ever be able to reach him. My baby.
To the pushers, the pimps, and the loan sharks who crawled through the gutters of the Narrows, you were a ghost with a switchblade. You were the cold, merciless shadow that left broken jaws and severed fingers in your wake if anyone so much as breathed the wrong way near your door. You stole, you extorted, you broke bones, and you did it all with a face carved from stone. You were a heartless, terrifying creature to the rest of the world.
But to Jason, you were everything.
To Jason, your hands were never cold. When the fever took him during his third winter, those hands had bathed his forehead with melted snow. When the hunger clawed at his small stomach, you went three days without a crumb so he could eat a bruised apple and a slice of stale bread, whispering old stories into his hair until he fell asleep. You were the only soft thing in his violent universe, a secret sanctuary built inside a fortress of iron and malice.
"Ma?" Jason’s voice drifted through the small, damp kitchen. He was nine now, growing too fast, his ribs still showing through his thin shirt despite your best efforts. He was adjusting the strap of an oversized backpack. "I'm heading out. Just... looking for scrap near the borders. Maybe some discarded copper."
You looked up from the table where you were carefully cleaning a rusted but functional snub-nosed revolver. Your eyes, usually sharp enough to cut glass, softened instantly as they landed on him.
"Don't go past Park Row, Jaybird," you said, your voice low and steady. "The Falcone boys are moving shipments tonight. Keep your head down. If someone looks at you, you don't look back. You take their eyes out if they touch you. Understand?"
"Yeah, Ma. I know the rules." He smiled, a genuine, crooked thing that he only ever showed to you. "Love you."
"I love you more than the stars, Jason. Back before midnight."
But midnight came, and the rusted clock on the wall ticked past one. Then two. Then three.
By dawn, the cold panic that you had buried ten years ago began to claw its way up your throat. Jason was a street rat, but he was your street rat; he never missed check-in without a reason. You combed the alleys, your coat collar turned up against the biting wind, your hand resting on the knife in your pocket. You asked no questions—you demanded answers. You dragged a low-level informant by his ear into a dark alcove, pressing the cold steel of your blade against his throat until he wept.
"I don't know nothing about the kid!" the man shrieked. "But—but word on the block is someone tried to strip the Batmobile last night down by the theater! The big freak himself caught 'em!"
Your heart stopped. Then, it turned to pure, unadulterated fire.
************
Jason hadn't meant to get stuck.
When he had stumbled upon the sleek, impossibly expensive tank of a car parked in the deepest shadows of Crime Alley, he hadn't seen the dark myth of Gotham. He had seen a ticket out. Specifically, he had seen four custom, high-grade titanium-alloy tires that could fetch enough on the black market to pay their rent for three years, buy a functioning heater, and get his mother the medicine she kept hiding under the sink.
He had managed to get one wheel off with a stolen lug wrench before a massive, caped shadow blocked out the streetlights.
Batman hadn't struck him. Instead, the giant had looked at the scrawny, defiant kid with the tire iron raised like a sword, and he had done something worse: he had taken him.
Now, Jason was sitting in a bedroom that was larger than their entire apartment. It was located inside Wayne Manor—a fact he had deduced from the monogrammed towels and the sheer, nauseating wealth oozing from every mahogany panel. The billionaire, Bruce Wayne, had brought him here, claiming he wanted to "help" him, to give him a chance.
But Jason didn't want a chance. He wanted to go home.
The first night, he had tried to slip out the window, but the motion sensors had flared. The second night, he tried the service stairs, but the terrifyingly polite British butler, Alfred, had been waiting with a tray of warm cookies and a raised eyebrow. By the fifth day, Jason realized he couldn't leave unnoticed. He was trapped in a golden cage.
Worse, he had tried to do what he originally came to do: steal something valuable enough to make the risk worth it. He had slipped a heavy, silver-and-diamond pocket watch from a display case in the study into his pocket. But with the security tight and the Butler constantly hovering like an elegant hawk, he couldn't find a blind spot to escape with the prize.
Panic, cold and sharp, began to settle into his chest. Ma is going to burn this city down, he thought, staring out the rain-streaked window of his massive bedroom. She thinks I'm dead. Or worse.
He didn't know how right he was.
*****************
In the damp darkness of your apartment, the floorboards were covered in maps, newspaper clippings, and police scanner transcripts.
You were not just a street brawler. The streets required brute force to survive, but they required a brilliant mind to conquer. Over the years, you had taught yourself how to read the city’s shifting patterns. You knew the patrol routes of the GCPD better than the commissioners did. And you knew the Bat.
It hadn't taken you long to connect the dots. The Batmobile had been tampered with. The boy was gone. No bodies had been found in the morgues, and none of the local gangs were bragging about killing a kid. Batman didn't kill, but he confiscated. He had taken your son.
"You think you can just pluck a bird from my nest?" you whispered to the empty room, your fingers tracing the grid of Gotham's rooftops. "You think because you wear a cape and armor, you're the only monster in this town?"
You knew you couldn't take Batman in a straight, head-on fistfight. He was a tank; you were a scalpel. You needed leverage. You needed to strike him where it would paralyze him.
You spent forty-eight hours straight watching the sky, monitoring the frequencies, and mapping the movements of his colorful little shadow—the Robin. The boy wonder. The golden child who flew through the air while your son starved in the dirt.
A son for a son. It was old testament justice. The only kind Gotham understood.
On a rainy Thursday night, you set the trap.
Using your deep, terrifying network of coerced informants and underground channels, you leaked an incredibly precise, high-value piece of intelligence to a known contact of the Bat. It was the exact coordinate, time, and manifest of a major illegal arms shipment being moved through the docks by the Maroni crime family. It was too big for Batman to ignore.
Just as you predicted, the Bat took the bait. But he didn't go alone. He brought the boy.
From your vantage point on the crane overlooking the rainy shipping yard, you watched through a pair of cracked binoculars. The fight went exactly as expected. Batman and Robin dropped from the skylight, tearing through the Maroni thugs like a hurricane. But you had added a variable. You had anonymously tipped off a rival gang, the Bertinellis, telling them that Maroni was being ambushed and their turf was wide open for a slaughter.
Chaos erupted. Gunfire shattered the night. The shipping container area became a maze of smoke, flashbangs, and screaming men.
Batman was forced to dive into a cluster of heavily armed men to protect a group of trapped dockworkers. He was separated from his partner by a wall of shipping containers and a sudden, massive explosion you had rigged to a fuel line.
Robin—Dick Grayson—was cut off. He handled himself well, flipping over a thug and knocking him out with a precise kick, but as he landed, a sudden, blinding pain exploded in his leg.
A sniper round? No. A precisely thrown, heavy iron bolt from a high-powered slingshot, aimed directly at his knee joint.
Dick stumbled, his balance shattered. Before he could recover, a shadow dropped from the top of the container behind him.
You didn't hesitate. You didn't feel a shred of pity for the boy in the bright red vest. You slammed the butt of your stolen stun-baton directly into the base of his skull. The electricity surged through him, and the boy wonder went limp in your arms.
With practiced, terrifying efficiency, you stripped him of his utility belt, tearing it away and tossing it directly into the deep, churning black water of the Gotham harbor. You found the small tracker stitched into his collar and sliced it out with your knife, crushing it beneath your boot.
Within ninety seconds, you had the boy loaded into the back of a stolen, unmarked laundry van. By the time Batman broke through the smoke, roaring his partner's name into the empty night, you were already miles away, melting into the dark, suffocating embrace of Crime Alley.
*****************
The apartment smelled of damp concrete, old paper, and the sharp, medicinal tang of rubbing alcohol.
Dick Grayson woke up with a groan, his head pounding in rhythm with his heartbeat. He tried to move his hands, but they were bound tightly behind his back with high-tensile nylon cord—the kind that bit deeper the more you struggled. He was sitting on a hard wooden chair in the middle of a dimly lit kitchen.
"Don't struggle," a voice said from the shadows. "You'll only give yourself rope burn, and I've just finished cleaning your knee."
Dick blinked, his vision clearing. A woman stepped into the light of the single, flickering bulb hanging from the ceiling. She didn't look like the Rogue’s Gallery monsters he usually fought. She didn't have a painted face or a gimmick. She wore a faded flannel shirt, dark jeans, and a coat that had seen too many winters. But her eyes—cold, calculating, and completely devoid of fear—made his breath hitch.
"Who are you?" Dick demanded, trying to keep his voice steady, the way Bruce taught him. "Where is Batman? If you think—"
"I don't care what you think," you interrupted, stepping closer. You picked up a damp cloth and a bottle of antiseptic. Despite his instinct to flinch, you moved with an eerie, practiced precision, kneeling in front of him to tend to the nasty gash on his leg from the docks. "I am the one asking questions. You are going to tell me exactly where the Bat takes the things he steals."
"We don't steal anything!" Dick snapped, wincing as the alcohol bit into his skin.
You tightened the bandage around his knee with a sharp, warning tug. "He took my son. Five days ago. A boy with dark hair, tatred clouths, and blue eyes. He took him from Park Row. Where is he?"
Dick’s mind raced. The kid from the tires. Bruce had brought a street kid to the manor a week ago, trying to keep him safe, trying to figure out how to handle him. Bruce had said the kid was an orphan. He said the kid had no one.
"Jason?" Dick breathed. "You're... you're his mother?"
"Where is he?" you repeated, your voice dropping to a dangerous, icy whisper. You reached into your pocket, the distinct click of a switchblade echoing in the small room. You didn't threaten him with words; the look in your eyes told him everything he needed to know. You would carve this city to pieces to find your child.
"He's safe!" Dick said quickly, his heart hammering. "I swear! He's at Wayne Manor. Bruce—Batman—he didn't kidnap him to hurt him. He caught him stealing and saw how bad his living conditions were. He wanted to help him!"
You let out a harsh, bitter laugh that sent shivers down the boy's spine. "Help him? A billionaire in a playground of gold wants to help a child from the gutters? He took him without my consent. He locked him away. In my world, that is a kidnapping. And in my world, you pay for what you take."
You stood up, looking down at the young Robin. Dick expected a beating. He expected the harsh, brutal torture he had seen from Arkham escapees.
Instead, you sighed, a deeply human, exhausted sound. You walked over to the rusted stove, where a pot of simple chicken broth was simmering. You filled a bowl, brought it over, and untied his hands.
"Eat," you commanded.
Dick stared at the bowl, then at his hands, then at you. "You're... you're not going to hurt me?"
"I am a mother, not a savage," you said coldly, sitting across from him, your eyes never leaving his face. "You are leverage. But until the exchange is made, you will be fed, and you will be tended to. Eat before it gets cold."
The broth was warm, seasoned with wild herbs you had gathered from the small cracks in the city's concrete. It tasted better than half the five-star meals Dick had eaten at galas. As he ate, the exhaustion of the fight and the throbbing of his concussion began to weigh heavily on him.
"Go wash up," you said, pointing to a tiny bathroom through a peeling door. "There is hot water. Use the soap."
When Dick emerged twenty minutes later, wearing a pair of Jason’s oversized, old sweatpants, he found a small cot set up near the radiator. The sheets were faded and patched, but they smelled intensely of lavender and cheap laundry detergent.
He hesitated, looking at you. You were sitting on the edge of the cot, your fingers idly sharpening a hunting knife against a whetstone. Scritch. Scritch.
"Get in," you said.
Dick crawled into the bed, his body aching. The room was freezing, the wind howling through the poorly sealed window glass, but the blanket was heavy. He shivered, curling into a ball. He was fourteen years old, a hero to the city, but right now, in the dark of a moldy slum, he felt incredibly small. He felt the crushing, hollow ache that had lived in his chest ever since the night his parents fell from the trapeze.
You looked at the boy. You saw the way his shoulders shook. You saw the raw, exposed grief in his eyes—the same look you saw in the mirror every morning after that horrific night so long ago.
You closed the knife and slid it into your boot. Slowly, deliberately, you sat on the edge of the mattress. You didn't say a word. You simply reached out and began to run your fingers through his damp, dark hair, untangling the knots with a gentleness that seemed entirely impossible for a woman who had just dismantled a multi-million-dollar tactical tracker an hour prior.
Dick stiffened at first. Then, with a soft, broken sob, he leaned forward, burying his face against your thigh, his small hands gripping the fabric of your jeans. He cuddled into your side, seeking the warmth, seeking the rhythm of a mother’s heartbeat.
"I miss her," Dick whispered into the dark, his voice cracking. "I miss my mom so much."
Your hand didn't stop its soothing rhythm. Your fingers stroked his hair, over and over, anchoring him to the earth. "I know, little bird," you murmured, your voice no longer the monster of the docks, but the sanctuary of the nest. "I know. Sleep now. Tomorrow, you go home."
*****************
The Batcave was bathed in the harsh, sterile blue light of the supercomputer.
Bruce Wayne had not taken off his cowl, but his face was pale, his jaw clenched so tightly it looked ready to shatter. He had been staring at the monitors for six hours. The tracking signal on Dick's suit had vanished near the harbor. The utility belt had been recovered by a diving drone, sliced cleanly with a military-grade edge.
There were no ransom notes. There were no demands from the Joker, no riddles from Nygma, no toxin signatures from Crane.
It was a ghost.
"I don't understand," Bruce growled, his fists slamming into the steel console. "There was no chatter on the underworld lines. No one is taking credit for this. Whoever took him knew exactly how to bypass the localized encryption on the Robin suit."
"Perhaps, Master Bruce, you are looking for the wrong kind of criminal," Alfred said, his voice unusually strained as he stood behind the chair, a tray of untouched coffee resting in his hands.
"What do you mean, Alfred? I've run every cross-reference—"
"Look at the physical clues left at the docks, sir," Alfred pointed to a high-resolution photograph of the shipping container where Dick had vanished. Scratched deeply into the rusted iron, written with the jagged edge of a broken bolt, were five words:
A SON FOR A SON.
Bruce stared at the screen, his mind spiraling through a thousand possibilities, trying to calculate which of his past sins had crawled out of the dark to exact vengeance.
"Hey."
A small, hesitant voice echoed from the elevator platform.
Bruce and Alfred both snapped their heads around. Jason was standing there, wearing an oversized Gotham Knights sweatshirt, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. He looked tired, his eyes wide as he took in the massive, subterranean cavern for the first time. He had finally broken out of his room, wandering down the hidden stairs out of sheer boredom and growing anxiety.
"What are you doing down here, Jason?" Bruce said, his voice cracking with a mixture of exhaustion and protective anger. "Go back upstairs. It's not safe."
Jason didn't listen. His eyes skipped past the giant penny, past the mechanical T-Rex, and landed directly on the massive, central monitor screen. He saw the photograph of the shipping container. He read the scratched words.
A SON FOR A SON.
A massive, radiant grin broke across Jason's face. The anxiety that had weighed on his chest for a week vanished in a single, breathy exhalation.
"Mama," he beamed.
The cave went dead silent, save for the hum of the cooling fans.
Bruce froze, his cowl framing a look of sheer, unadulterated confusion. Alfred lowered the tray, his brow furrowing.
"What?" Bruce asked, his voice low, dangerous, and utterly baffled. "Jason... what did you just say?"
"I said, that's my Ma," Jason said, his voice dripping with absolute pride and a smug, dark satisfaction. He walked right up to the supercomputer console, pointing a dirty fingernail at the screen. "That's her handwriting. Well, her carving. She used to do that to the doors of landlords who tried to lock us out."
Bruce stood up, his massive frame towering over the boy. "Your mother? Jason, your file said your mother died of an overdose three years ago. Catherine Todd—"
"Catherine was my step-mom, you idiot," Jason scoffed, crossing his arms and looking up at the Batman without a hint of fear. "She raised me for a bit when Ma had to go underground after she took the teeth out of a Black Mask crew. My real Ma is alive. And you just spent a week keeping her kid in a giant mansion without letting her know."
Jason laughed, a sharp, mocking sound that sounded entirely too old for a ten-year-old. He looked directly into Bruce's white lens-eyes. "You think you're the scariest thing in this city, old man? You haven't seen my Ma when she's pissed. This? Taking your bird? This is just the intro. She's gonna make your life a living hell until she gets me back. You're completely screwed."
Alfred slowly turned his gaze from the monitor to his employer. The look on the old butler's face was colder than the winter outside.
"Master Bruce," Alfred said, his voice clipped and trembling with an aristocratic fury. "Am I to understand that you did not, in fact, rescue an abandoned orphan from the streets... but rather, you kidnapped a child from his living mother?"
"Alfred, I didn't know!" Bruce defended himself, his hands coming up in a rare moment of genuine vulnerability. "He was stripping the Batmobile in Crime Alley at one in the morning! He was malnourished! Every agency report in the district indicated he was flying solo!"
Jason let out a loud, theatrical whistle. "Hey, Big Bats, I never said I didn't have a family. You asked me if anyone was waiting for me at the apartment on Miller Street, and I said no. Because Ma and I moved to a different squat on 4th three months ago so the Falcones wouldn't find us. I told you I had to survive somehow. I never said I was an orphan. You just assumed because I was dirty."
Alfred took a deep breath, adjusting his waistcoat. "An absolutely appalling display of detective work, sir. Truly. I believe you have met your match, and frankly, it is entirely deserved."
Bruce rubbed his temples, the cowl slipping slightly. The realization hit him like a physical blow: he wasn't dealing with a supervillain retaliation. He was dealing with a feral, brilliant mother whose child he had inadvertently stolen.
"Where," Bruce growled, looking down at Jason, "is she now?"
*****************
The next morning, the rain had stopped, leaving Crime Alley shrouded in a thick, gray fog that smelled of sulfur and wet coal.
A sleek, black town car pulled up to the curb of an abandoned, crumbling brick tenement on 4th Street. The luxury vehicle looked like an alien spacecraft amidst the rusted-out sedans and piles of uncollected garbage.
Bruce Wayne stepped out of the driver's seat. He wasn't wearing the cape. He wore an expensive, tailored charcoal overcoat, but beneath the fabric, his muscles were tense, ready for an ambush. Behind him, Jason hopped out of the passenger side, practically vibrating with excitement. Alfred sat in the back seat, his face grimly expectant.
Jason didn't wait for Bruce. He tore up the cracked concrete steps of the tenement, throwing open the heavy, rusted outer door and sprinting up the dark, mold-encrusted stairwell to the third floor.
"Ma! Ma, I'm home!" Jason yelled, throwing open the door to apartment 3B.
You were standing by the window, an old iron skillet in one hand and your eyes trained on the door. The moment Jason burst through, your cold, terrifying facade shattered into a million pieces. You dropped the skillet with a loud clatter, falling to your knees as your arms opened wide.
"Jaybird!" you cried, your voice breaking.
Jason threw himself into your embrace, slamming his face into your neck. You held him so tightly his ribs popped, your fingers digging into his hair, your tears spilling freely onto his shoulder. You kissed his temples, his cheeks, his forehead, checking his arms, his legs, his face for any sign of harm.
"Are you hurt? Did he touch you? Did that bastard do anything to you?" you hissed, your voice a lethal mixture of maternal desperation and feral rage.
"No, Ma, I'm fine, I swear!" Jason giddily rambled, burying his face deeper into your shirt. "I was just stuck! The mansion has all these crazy laser sensors, and the butler keeps making these stupidly good chocolate chip cookies, and I tried to steal this crazy silver watch but I couldn't get past the kitchen hall without him seeing me—"
A heavy, imposing shadow filled the doorway.
You instantly shifted. In a fraction of a second, Jason was behind your back, and your hand had whipped into the sleeve of your coat, drawing a long, wicked-looking trench knife. Your eyes locked onto the man standing in your entry.
Bruce Wayne.
He was massive, filling the entire doorframe, his blue eyes taking in the room with a single, sweeping glance. He saw the peeling wallpaper, the black mold crawling up the corners of the ceiling, the single mattress on the floor with two thin blankets, and the absolute lack of any real food save for a few cans of salt-pork and dried beans.
"You," you spat, your teeth bared like a wolf guarding her pup. "You take one step closer to my son, and I will see what color your insides are, billionaire."
Bruce didn't raise his hands to fight. He looked at you, then his eyes drifted past your shoulder to the small, rickety dining table in the corner.
Sitting at the table, happily swinging his legs, was Dick Grayson. He was wearing an oversized flannel shirt of yours, a massive bowl of sugary cereal in front of him, and he was idly flipping through a battered, coverless copy of a medical textbook.
"Hey, Bruce," Dick said around a mouthful of milk. "Her cooking is awesome. Do we have to leave yet? She was gonna teach me how to sew up a laceration using a chicken breast later."
Bruce blinked, the sheer absurdity of the scene momentarily short-circuiting his formidable brain. His Robin—the boy he had spent the night panicking over—was completely safe, perfectly fed, and looked more relaxed than he had in months.
"Dick," Bruce said, his deep voice carrying a wave of immense relief. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I told you, she patched my knee," Dick said, pointing to the neat, perfectly executed medical wrap around his leg. "She's really good at stitches. She did it without an anesthetic kit, just ice and clean water. Didn't even hurt that much."
Bruce turned his attention back to you. The knife in your hand hadn't wavered an inch. Your weight was distributed perfectly on the balls of your feet; your guard was flawless. He recognized the stance—it wasn't the sloppy form of a street thug. It was the tight, economical posture of someone who lived through violence and perfected it.
"I apologize," Bruce said clearly, his voice echoing in the small apartment.
You scoffed, your grip tightening on the hilt. "You apologize? You stole my child for a week, Wayne. You kept him in your fortress. Do you know what happens to a mother in this district when her kid vanishes? They look for a body in the river. I spent five days preparing to bury my heart."
"I made a catastrophic assumption," Bruce said, taking off his gloves to show his bare, unarmed hands. "I saw a child alone, starving, trying to survive by criminal means. I believed he had no one. If I had known he had a mother—a mother who clearly cares for him—I would have approached this differently."
"Approach it differently?" you laughed bitterly. "By sending social services? By letting some corrupt city agency put him in a home where he'd be beaten or sold? No. I keep him safe. I am the only thing in this godforsaken city that keeps him alive."
Bruce looked around the apartment again. His heart, usually so guarded, felt a heavy tug of profound respect. He saw the books stacked in the corner—not just trashy novels, but advanced texts. He saw the meticulous cleanliness of a room that was physically rotting from the inside due to the slumlord's neglect.
"You shouldn't have to live like this," Bruce said softly. "Neither of you."
"We don't need your charity, Mr. Wayne," you snapped, lowering the knife slightly but keeping your body between him and Jason. "We survive. I've on my own for survived fifteen years without a single dime from Bristol township, and we'll survive fifteen more. Take your boy and get out of my house."
"Wait, Ma," Jason whispered, tugging on your shirt. "Listen to him. He's... he's not like the other rich pricks. He's weird, but he's not cruel."
Bruce stepped into the room, Alfred appearing behind him with a gentle, supportive nod.
"It's not charity," Bruce said, looking you directly in the eyes. "It's an offer of employment. And an alliance."
You narrowed your eyes. "Employment? What could a monster from Crime Alley possibly do for the great Bruce Wayne?"
"My butler, Alfred, requires assistance maintaining the estate," Bruce said, though his eyes told a different story—he saw your skill, your strategy, your capability. He knew you had bypassed his tech. He knew you had ghosted his city. "And more importantly, my child requires someone who understands the realities of this city in a way I am still learning to navigate. I can offer you a home. Secure housing, high-grade medical care for Jason, and a proper allowance."
You stared at him, your mind working at lightning speed, analyzing the angles, looking for the trap. "And what's the catch? You want me to be a maid? A servant?"
"No," Bruce said. "I want you to be a mother. To Jason. And... if you're willing, to help me guide Dick. In return, I will provide you with something the streets could never give you: access to a real education. Tuition, books, a path to a legitimate university degree in whatever field you choose. No records of your past will follow you."
The knife slowly slipped back into your sleeve. Your breath caught. A degree. A real, legitimate life where you didn't have to carry a blade just to buy milk. A life where Jason could sleep without the sound of gunshots outside his window.
"I don't bow to anyone, Wayne," you warned, your voice dropping low. "If you try to control me, or if you ever try to come between me and my boy, I will burn that manor to the ground with you inside it."
A faint, incredibly rare smirk touched Bruce’s lips. "I would expect nothing less. Do we have an agreement?"
You looked down at Jason, whose eyes were wide with hope. You looked at Dick, who was smiling from the table.
"We do," you said.
*****************
Moving into Wayne Manor was an exercise in mutual culture shock.
The first two weeks were tense. You refused to sleep in the massive guest suite Bruce had assigned to you; instead, you dragged the blanket onto the floor of Jason’s room, sleeping by the door like a soldier in a bunker. You carried a concealed kneife in your pocket, and you treated every luxury—from the heated floors to the silver cutlery—with a deep, profound suspicion.
But as the weeks bled into a month, the ice began to thaw.
It started in the kitchen. Alfred had been preparing a traditional English roast when you silently appeared beside him, your movements so quiet the old man hadn't even heard the door open. Without a word, you took the chef's knife from his hand and began dicing vegetables with a speed and precision that made the veteran butler stop and stare.
"A very efficient technique, Miss," Alfred noted, raising an eyebrow.
"If you don't cut fast in the Narrows, someone takes the food before you finish," you said simply, your fingers moving in a blur. "The seasoning needs garlic. And real pepper. This stuff smells like dust."
Within a week, you and Alfred had formed a quiet, ironclad understanding. You took over the heavy meal preparations for the boys, infusing the rich, bland manor food with the sharp, vibrant spices of the cultural melting pot of Gotham's lower districts.
Then came the night Bruce found out exactly who he had brought into his home.
It was a rainy Tuesday night, and Bruce was sitting in the study, reviewing tactical files on a new smuggling ring operating out of the East End. He was stymied; the logistics didn't make sense. The shipments were vanishing from the docks but appearing in the city without using the main transit lines.
You walked into the study to drop off a cup of tea Alfred had made. You glanced over his shoulder at the map laid out on the mahogany desk.
"You're looking at the wrong grid," you said, your voice casual.
Bruce looked up, a pencil poised in his hand. "Pardon?"
You leaned over the desk, your finger pointing to a section of the map near the old water treatment facility. "The Maronis don't use the roads for this kind of weight. The trucks are a decoy to keep your little bat-ears busy. They're using the old pre-prohibition rum-runner tunnels. They run directly from pier 41 through the old brewery basement on 9th."
Bruce stared at the map, his brilliant mind instantly calculating the structural reality of what you had just said. It fit perfectly. The timing, the weight limits, the lack of surveillance footage—it all aligned.
"How do you know that?" Bruce asked, his voice laced with genuine fascination.
"I hid in those tunnels for three weeks when the Falcones put a price on my head ten years ago," you said, taking a sip from your own mug. "You learn the geometry of a city when you're the one being hunted, Mr. Wayne."
Over the next few hours, the tea went cold as Bruce began to show you more files. He was astonished. You weren't just perceptive; you were a master strategist. You didn't look at crime like a puzzle to be solved; you looked at it like an ecosystem to be disrupted. You knew the psychology of the street thugs because you had been the monster they feared.
"You spoke to the informant from the shipping dock in his native tongue," Bruce noted, referencing a audio log Dick had brought back from your interrogation. "Where did you learn conversational Russian?"
"And Italian. And Spanish. And Cantonese," you added, pulling up a chair and sitting across from him, completely unintimidated by the billionaire's intense stare. "And I can read Latin and old Romani."
Bruce’s eyes widened. "Where did you study?"
"The dumpster behind the Gotham Public Library and the street," you said, your voice entirely serious. "They throw out the older editions when they get water-damaged. I gathered them up, dried the pages by the radiator, and read them while Jason was sleeping. The Romani I learned from an old fortune teller who lived in the basement below our first squat. She was blind, so I cleaned her room and cooked her food, and she taught me her words."
The next day, Dick Grayson practically levitated with joy when he came down to breakfast and found you reading a book of Romani poetry aloud, your accent flawless and melodic. For the first time since his parents' death, Dick felt a deep, ancestral part of his heritage being acknowledged in his new home. He threw his arms around your waist, burying his face in your apron, and you didn't pull away. You simply stroked his hair, just like you had in the moldy apartment, welcoming him into your nest.
But the biggest revelation came during a medical emergency.
Bruce had returned from a brutal encounter with Killer Croc in the sewers. He had managed to crawl back to the Batcave, but his side was torn open—three deep, jagged lacerations that were pouring blood, contaminated with sewer filth. Alfred was frantic, preparing the antibiotics, but his hands, aging and strained, were shaking slightly as he tried to thread the surgical needle.
You descended the stairs into the cave, wearing your old flannel shirt, your face set in stone. You didn't flinch at the sight of the blood, or the massive, exposed cave, or the high-tech equipment.
"Move," you commanded Alfred, your voice leaving no room for argument.
You grabbed the surgical tray. You washed your hands with antiseptic with a terrifying, robotic efficiency. You leaned over Bruce’s massive, groaning form, your fingers instantly probing the edges of the wound.
"The muscle tissue isn't severed, but the dermal layer is shredded," you analyzed aloud, your voice perfectly calm, the tone of a seasoned trauma surgeon. "Alfred, I need the heavy-gauge nylon suture and the hydrogen peroxide. Now."
For twenty minutes, your hands were a blur of absolute, flawless precision. You cleaned the wound, debrided the contaminated tissue without a single wasted motion, and began throwing perfect, tight mattress stitches across his flank.
Bruce stared up at you through a haze of pain and painkillers. He saw the absolute focus in your eyes—the sheer, brilliant intellect guiding every movement of your fingers.
"Where..." Bruce gasped, his teeth gritted. "Where did you learn... to do this?"
"Two-year apprenticeship with Dr. Leslie Thompkins’ old partner, before he went to prison for treating unregistered patients," you said, tying off the last knot with a sharp, decisive flick. "And about forty textbooks I stole from the university medical waste bins. I've sewn up gunshot wounds in dark alleys with nothing but a flashlight and a bottle of vodka, Wayne. This pristine lab of yours is a luxury resort."
You stood up, wiping the blood from your hands onto a clean towel. You looked down at the Batman, your expression softening just a fraction.
"You're going to live, you big idiot," you murmured. "But if you don't take your antibiotics, the sewer rot will take your leg. I didn't move into this house just to watch my employer die of stupidity."
Bruce let out a rough, breathless laugh, his hand reaching out to briefly touch your wrist. "Thank you."
****************
Six months later, the unconventional family had found its rhythm.
The Gotham University admissions office had been thoroughly confused when a woman from the Narrows, with absolutely no high school transcript but an entrance exam score that broke the institution's percentile records, enrolled in their accelerated pre-med program. Her tuition was paid in full by a private endowment from the Wayne Foundation.
Every afternoon, you would sit at the massive mahogany table in the manor library, surrounded by stacks of heavy, leather-bound medical volumes, a cup of hot tea steaming beside you while Jason happily devoured one book after the other.
You looked at your son, finaly well feed, in warm new clouths that actually fit and relaxed.
He was happy. And that was everything.

fwb!logan minding your tiny dog for you 😌
just carrying a lil tiny chihuahua around in his big hand for the week because you’re on vacation and he brings it to the rink n shit and doesn’t bat an eye about it but his teammates are making fun of him but he’s shameless, just standing there with the puppy in his pocket cause that’s your baby and he’s just a little chill guy
my beautiful tess (miss her 💔) would've looked so tiny in one of logan's hands
the vacation is sprung on you last minute too, organised by some friends, and you almost bail on it because a) surprises aren't your thing, and 2) what are you're gonna do about your tiny little fella (the dog)? but you go ahead with the vacation, logan volunteering to look after your dog before you can even start to look for dog sitters. at first, you're reluctant to agree, he's accidentally killed house plants, can you really trust him with your dog? plus, between games, practice and other obligations, will he even have time? but he convinces you it's a good deal, how kells brings lucky to practices, so he'll do it too, and it'll give him a chance to bond with your dog, cheekily saying that your dog will basically be his by the end of the week
you get pupdates all the time, pictures sent to you first thing in the morning/last thing at night of him snuggled up in his bed with your dog, multiple pictures of them going on walks, feeding him treats, just looking adorable, it really makes you miss him...and logan. the couple of times he takes him to practice, the guys tease him for it, it getting worse when he says that the dog is yours to those who thought logan had just got a dog. kells is telling him he needs just get it over with and just ask you to officially be his girlfriend, and logan goes so red in the face just at the thought.
at one point, you start getting dms for the mammoth's admin, her sending you pictures of your dog, watching him for you when logan has to be on the ice, asking you if it's okay to post him to socials, with the promise they won't reveal anything about you, and the fans love the little guy
Daeron is far too drunk to fuck his sweet wife properly. His cock is hard and leaking against the soft curve of her ass, but his hips only manage clumsy, shallow ruts, the head of his cock catching and slipping between her cheeks without ever finding its way inside. Soft, pathetic whimpers spill from his mouth with every half-hearted roll of his hips, his forehead pressed to her shoulder as he pants and whines, too far gone to do anything more than rut against her like a desperate, useless mess.
I know he isn’t but could you imagine Aerion actually being a virgin. All his time is taken up with his dragon obsessions and so on. Having him lay on his back, so you can ride him. Making his first time be so sweet.
18+ (smut, what the ask says)
oh my god he’d talk such a big game.
everyone thinks the street of silk is a frequent stop for him, and everyone thinks he has a line of ladies trailing out of his bedchambers’ door. i mean, he flaunts how popular he is with women, and how good of a lover he is, but he just… isn’t.
because he’s dreaming too much. plagued by thoughts that are constantly racing, seeing dragons in visions blurred at the edges and smelling so viscerally of smoke and sea. and then he looks in the mirror and sees a dragon beneath skin and flesh, beneath pale blond hair and light eyes. what kind of a woman could handle someone like him? why would he need a woman when he has dragons to worry about?
but of course, you came along and changed everything.

Happy rolls up his sleeves while fixing your car, forearms flexing, completely unaware you're staring. You realize attractive is no longer a strong enough word.
Happy had insisted your car wasn't going anywhere near a mechanic until he'd looked at it himself.
You'd made the mistake of saying, "You don't have to do that."
He'd looked at you with the same expression he'd wear if you'd have asked if he had to breathe.
"...Yeah," he'd answered simply, already reaching for his toolbox.
Happy Lowman (Sons of Anarchy) x fem!reader
Chibs eventually asks, "Ye gonna do somethin' about it?" Happy shrugs. Because what exactly is he supposed to do? Stop loving you? Doesn't seem likely. Actually confess to you? No thank you, he's good.
By the time Chibs finally asked the question, it had already become less of a mystery and more of a running, increasingly exasperated observation among the men of SAMCRO, because Happy Lowman was not subtle when it came to violence, he was not subtle when it came to threats, he was not subtle when it came to loyalty, and, as it turned out, he was also not subtle when it came to being catastrophically, helplessly, absurdly in love with you while refusing to call it that out loud.
Which meant the club had spent the better part of four months watching a six-foot wall of tattoos and homicidal tendencies turn into the strangest, most tightly wound version of a lovesick idiot any of them had ever had the pleasure of mocking.

You smile at him. Happy feels his entire mood improve. Again. For the thousandth time. At this point he just accepts the chemical imbalance.
i think this might be one of my top favourites of everything i've ever written
Happy Lowman would never, under any circumstances, describe himself as a man ruled by emotion.
Instinct, yes.
Temper, absolutely.
Violence, with a level of fluency that bordered on artistry.
But emotion? Sentiment? The kind of soft, embarrassing internal nonsense that made men write songs and buy flowers and stand in grocery store aisles debating whether a girl would prefer dark chocolate or milk chocolate because she’d once mentioned, three months ago, that she liked caramel and now suddenly that useless piece of information had lodged itself in his brain with the tenacity of a bullet fragment?
No.
Absolutely not.

summary: You and Jacaerys are betrothed since you were children. He's visiting the Riverlands to see you again... being so sweet in front of your family but craving the feel of you after being apart for so long.
taglist: @claerysa
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You and Jacaerys had been betrothed since childhood, your engagement arranged to strengthen the bond between your two houses.
You spent much of your early years in King's Landing, chasing one another through the winding corridors of the Red Keep. You watched him train tirelessly in the castle yard, wooden sword in hand, only for the two of you to sneak away afterward and steal lemon cakes from the kitchens before anyone could catch you.
Those became some of your fondest childhood memories.
When Jacaerys moved to Dragonstone with his family, the atmosphere within the royal family grew increasingly strained. Rather than asking you to travel to him, he began visiting you in the Riverlands whenever his duties allowed.
Neither of you cared where you met.
Whether it was Dragonstone, the Red Keep, or your family's castle in the Riverlands, the place never mattered.
What mattered was being together.
You had loved one another for as long as either of you could remember. As the years passed, your childhood affection quietly blossomed into something deeper, growing stronger with every reunion and every reluctant farewell.
Now, a grand tourney was to be held at Riverrun.
The moment you heard the news, you wasted no time sending a raven to Dragonstone, inviting Jacaerys to attend. The tourney itself was little more than an excuse.
In truth, you simply wanted to see him again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I waited for you..." you said with a playful pout, a teasing smirk tugging at your lips. "But I think you'd rather see my brother than me."
To your surprise, your sweet betrothed hadn't come to greet you first upon his arrival. Instead, one of your maids informed you that he had been welcomed by your older brother, Grover.
Curious, you made your way to the Great Hall.
There they were.
Jacaerys and Grover stood near the great fireplace, each holding a goblet of wine that a servant had just poured for them. Deep in conversation, neither of them noticed your arrival at first.
Only when your voice broke the silence did Jacaerys turn toward you, his face instantly softening into the warm smile you had been hoping to see.
"Forgive me" he says, walking up to you "You know I can't say no to my future brother in law." He says grinning.
He reaches out then—gloved fingers gently brushing a loose strand of hair from your face. The gesture is tender, almost reverent. Behind him, Grover Tully watches silently with folded arms and an unreadable expression.
Grover genuinely liked Jacaerys. The two of them often spent their days hunting through the forests or crossing swords in the training yard, and he had come to respect the young prince both as a warrior and as a friend.
There was only one thing he didn't particularly care for.
The way Jacaerys was always so affectionate with you.
It wasn't that Grover was angry or disapproved of the match. If anything, he trusted Jacaerys more than most men. He was simply a protective older brother, always watching closely, determined to make sure his little sister's heart would never be broken.
Jace ignores the weight of his audience - In this moment, there’s only you.
Without another word, he closes the distance and pulls you into a tight embrace. His armor is cold against your cheek—but his heartbeat thunders beneath it: strong, fast… alive.
A beat passes. Then two.
And then—finally—he kisses you.
The kiss is gentle at first—hesitant, like the brush of a summer breeze. But then it deepens, fueled by months of longing and separation. Jace cups your face in his hands, thumbs tracing your cheeks as if memorizing you.
Your brother clears his throat loudly from across the hall.
Jace breaks the kiss reluctantly, his forehead resting against yours for a breath—just one more second of closeness. When he pulls back, his silver eyes are bright with joy and love.
He turns to Grover slowly, straightening up into the posture of a prince who knows he’s been caught in an intimate moment on foreign soil.
"Lord Tully" Jace says formally—though there's no real formality left in him after that kiss.
Grover steps forward, his dark eyes sharp with unspoken words.
"Keep your hands to yourself, Velaryon." He says warningly smacking him gently on the arm.
Jace meets his gaze without flinching. He gives another firm nod—respectful, solemn.
"Understood" he says simply. No excuses, no empty promises. Just quiet acknowledgment of the weight his actions carry now—not just as a prince, but as the man who will marry his sister.
Grover studies him a moment longer… then turns and strides toward the door without another word.
The tension in the hall eases slightly with his departure.
"You really had to do that in front of him?" You said trying not to laugh.
Jace grins—wide, unapologetic, boyish. The kind of smile that used to get him into trouble as a child.
"Of course I did" he says with mock pride. "If I was going to kiss you after all this time… I wanted your brother to see it. Let him know—right now—that you're mine."
He winks at you, then laces his fingers through yours like it's the most natural thing in the world. Around them, guards and servants pretend not to stare—but they do.
The Great Hall feels warmer somehow.
"I think everybody knows that I'm yours." You say quietly.
Jace squeezes your hand, his thumb brushing over your knuckles. The pride in his eyes is impossible to miss—bright and unguarded, like a dragon finally allowed to stretch its wings after being caged.
"Good," he murmurs. "Let them all know."
He leans down and kisses you again—quickly this time, a soft press of lips—but with no less meaning. Then he rests his forehead against yours once more, whispering:
"I've got something for you," Jacaerys said, slipping a hand into his cloak.
"I hope it's that wonderful Dornish wine we drank at the Red Keep," you replied eagerly, your eyes lighting up.
He let out a quiet laugh and shook his head.
"Not this time, my darling. I'm not making the mistake of letting you get that drunk again."
You rolled your eyes, though you couldn't suppress the smile tugging at your lips.
"You're impossible."
"So I've been told."
At last, he opened his hand.
Resting in his palm was a delicate silver ring, its band shaped like a dragon coiled around itself. The tiny scales shimmered in the firelight, each one catching the glow from the nearby hearth.
For a moment, you could only stare.
"I know we've been betrothed for what feels like forever," Jacaerys said softly. "But I've never given you anything that was truly ours. Something to remind you of me whenever we're apart." His eyes met yours. "And something to let the world know that your heart already belongs to someone."
You looked at the ring in silent amazement, watching the silver gleam in the dancing flames.
"It's beautiful, my love," you whispered. "I can't believe you did this for me."
A gentle smile spread across his face.
"It's a promise ring," he said as he carefully slipped it onto your finger. "A promise that one day we'll stand before the gods and be married." His thumb brushed lightly over your hand. "And from that day forward, we'll never have to say goodbye again."
You felt tears prick at the corners of your eyes.
Every time he looked at you that way... every time he did something so thoughtful, so effortlessly charming, your heart swelled until it felt as though it could no longer contain the love you had for him.
You wondered how it was possible to love someone so completely, yet with every passing day, your feelings for Jacaerys only seemed to grow stronger. "I love you with all the fire." You whispered against his lips.
"I love you, my love, my everything."
Jace hums against your lips—content, happy—as you peck him again. Each little kiss feels like a secret shared between just the two of you, a rebellion against all courtly decorum.
He doesn’t rush to deepen it this time. Just savors the softness—the sweetness of your affection—before returning it with another gentle press of his own.
Suddenly, you pulled away from him breaking the kiss and walked towards the door with a smirk on your face.
Jace’s eyes follow you instantly. That grin of yours? It’s dangerous. Playful and tasing. And it makes his heart leap.
He doesn’t move right away—just watches as you glide toward the door, your steps light and deliberate. The game is on.
A slow smirk spreads across his face—the kind that says: Oh, so we’re doing this now?
Without a word he starts walking after you.
Jace follows at a leisurely pace, hands tucked behind his back—deceptively calm. But there’s fire in his eyes.
The corridor outside the Great Hall is quiet, torchlight flickering on stone walls. You’re ahead… but not too far ahead.
Then—suddenly—he breaks into a light jog and closes the distance between you.
One arm wraps around your waist from behind as he pulls you gently against him.
The sudden warmth of his body pressed to your back sends a shiver through you—his breath tickling the shell of your ear. Jace doesn’t speak, not yet. Just holds you there for a heartbeat.
He lowered his head, pressing a trail of lingering kisses along your neck, each one feather-light against your skin. His hands rested gently on your shoulders, holding you steady against his chest as you melted into his embrace.
"You’re impossible," he murmurs against your ear. "Running off like that… you knew I’d chase you."
"I know... That's why I did that." You say, looking sweetly at him.
"Little tease." He spins you around with surprising grace and captures your lips again - this time deeper and hungrier.
His hands slide up to cradle your face as the torches flicker around you both.
"I need to go..." You said between kisses, trying to catch your breath. "And get ready for the feast."
Jace sighs—dramatic, exaggerated, the pout of a man torn between love and duty. The feast. Of course. Dinner with lords and ladies, politics barely hidden under polite conversation.
"Already?" he murmurs against your lips one last time before reluctantly pulling back.
He smooths his hands over your shoulders like he’s memorizing the feel of you in this moment—and then steps aside to let you pass.
"Go," he says softly, "but I’ll be waiting at the table for you."
A small smirk returns.
"And I won’t stop looking at you all night."
"I know you won't." You wink at him and started to walk towards your chambers.
Jace watches you walk down the corridor, your steps graceful, the sway of your gown catching the torchlight. That wink? Devastating. It lingers in his mind like a spell.
He stands there for a few extra seconds—long after you’ve turned a corner and vanished from sight—just smiling to himself.
A passing servant clears their throat awkwardly. Jace blinks, remembering he’s supposed to be a prince now—not some lovestruck boy daydreaming in hallways.
With one last glance toward where you disappeared… he straightens his cloak and heads toward his own chambers that were placed in completely different direction than yours. Not that your brother had anything to do with that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Great Hall is transformed—long tables laden with roasted meats, honeyed fruits, and dark breads stretch from one end to the other. Torches blaze brightly overhead, casting golden light on silver platters and polished armor.
Lords and ladies filled the benches, their voices blending into a constant murmur of conversation. Soft piano music drifted through the hall, weaving gracefully between the chatter and lending the gathering an air of quiet elegance.
And there at the high table sits Jace—already in his place beside Grover.
Jace scans every guest entering… waiting for your arrival.
Then the doors swing open—guards announcing your arrival with quiet formality. The hall hushes slightly, not out of awe for a noblewoman, but because everyone knows who you are: Lady Tully, Betrothed to Prince Jacaerys.
The murmurs begin instantly—whispers about your gown, your grace, how young and lovely you look beside the prince.
Jacaerys rises as soon as he sees you.
No protocol stops him from coming down to meet you halfway.
Jace strides toward you with purpose—ignoring the stares, ignoring Grover's sharp glance from the high table. The moment he reaches you, his expression shifts: all softness and warmth reserved only for you.
He takes your hand—gloved in black velvet—and presses a respectful kiss to your knuckles. But when he lifts his eyes? That quiet fire is back.
"Beautiful," he murmurs just for you to hear.
Then offers his arm like a true prince escorting his lady.
Jace finally guides you to the table, keeping his arm firmly around you. He serves you first - plucking a juicy piece of roasted pheasant and placing it on your plate with deliberate care. He fills your goblet with wine, then lean close to murmur: "Eat. I can see that you're starving."
How the hell does he know that? You started thinking how he could notice such a thing about you.
"How do you even know that?" You said with a sly smile.
Jace smirks, taking a sip of his own wine before answering. "I notice everything about you, my love." He says simply like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
And it is. Jace pays attention - the way you braid your hair, the way you chew your lip when you're reading a book.
A servant passes by with a fresh bread; Jace grabs a warm roll and hands it to you without being asked.
You take a bite of the food and tug a curl of his hair behind his ear. "You're such a gentleman."
Jace leans into your touch, the gesture is so soft and so affectionate that it makes his eyes close for a brief moment.
"Only for you" He murmurs, and place a kiss on your fingertips.
You returned to your meal, trying your best to hide the smile spreading across your face. You lifted your hand to cover it, hoping no one would notice the blush warming your cheeks at the sight of your beloved.
Jace sees it- of course he does. The way you hide your smile, the flustered eating, the slight pink in your cheeks. He knows exactly what's happening: you're head over heels for him.
And gods, that makes his chest swell with pride. He grins like a smug fool. A slow knowing smirk as he watches you chew.
Jacaerys feels the nudge of your knee and his smirk softness into something fond. He nudges back immediately.
Under the table his knee stays pressed against yours now. A secret point of contact- a way to stay connected even when people bustle around you.
Across from you sat your younger siblings, a lively group of children with bright blue eyes and fiery red hair. They watched Jacaerys with barely concealed amusement, having adored him for as long as they could remember.
He always brought them sweets from King's Landing. Once, he had even introduced them to Vermax, much to their excitement. And somehow, despite having no idea what he was doing at first, he had even taught himself how to braid hair just for your youngest sister.
It was impossible for them not to love him.
"Do you always drink so much wine, Jace?" Your brother asks giggling.
Jacaerys nearly choked on his drink at the boy's boldness. He set his goblet down, trying to suppress his laughter.
"No. Only at feasts."
"Don't ask questions like that!" you whispered to your siblings, lightly kicking their feet beneath the table.
The children yelped—not from pain, but from surprise—and immediately shot you deeply betrayed looks.
Jacaerys, however, couldn't help but chuckle. There was something refreshing about the bluntness of children. No politics. No careful words. Just innocent curiosity.
"It's all right," he assured them with a small smile before adding mischievously, "But if I drank wine all the time like some of the lords do, I'd be drunk by noon."
The children burst into giggles, clearly charmed by him.
"Where did you get that ring?!" your younger sister suddenly exclaimed.
Before you could answer, she reached across the table and took your hand, examining the silver dragon ring with wide, fascinated eyes.
"Jace gave it to me—as a gift."
You couldn't miss the suspicious look Grover sent in Jacaerys's direction.
"It's so pretty!" your sister squealed, squirming excitedly in her seat. "You're so lucky... I want pretty things like that, too..."
Her excitement faded into a small pout.
"Don't worry," Jacaerys said gently. "You will have something pretty of your own one day." He considered her for a moment before smiling. "Perhaps I could have a necklace made for you."
Your sister gasped. "Really?"
"Really."
She nodded enthusiastically, already imagining it.
You couldn't help but smile as you watched Jacaerys with your younger siblings. He was so gentle with them, so patient and kind. Something warm stirred in your chest as you found yourself imagining a future with him—a home of your own, children running through its halls, and Jacaerys looking at them with that same tender smile.
Then, as though she had somehow heard your thoughts, your sister spoke.
"Are you going to have children with my sister?"
The question struck the hall like a thunderclap.
Several nearby guests immediately choked on their wine. Jacaerys froze.
His entire face turned scarlet, his eyes widening as he stared at the little girl in complete disbelief.
Your mouth fell open.
Even Grover looked momentarily stunned.
Your sister, completely oblivious to the chaos she had caused, simply waited for an answer.
Jacaerys opened his mouth. Nothing came out. She tilted her head impatiently "Well?" she demanded. "Are you going to?"
Jacaerys finally found his voice, though it came out an octave higher than usual. "I mean... yes. Eventually."
Your sister gasped before immediately turning to her younger brother.
"Do you know what that means?! Our nieces and nephews are going to have dragons!"
Your brother's eyes widened.
The two children bounced excitedly in their seats, already imagining tiny Targaryen children running through the halls with miniature dragons at their heels.
Jacaerys, still recovering from the question, managed a weak smile at their enthusiasm.
The thought of having children of his own—children with dragons—wasn't entirely foreign to him.
He would be lying if he said he had never imagined it before.
You, however, could only roll your eyes at your siblings for embarrassing both you and Jacaerys.
"Enough with the questions. Go play with someone your own age."
The children pouted but obeyed, hopping from their chairs and scampering toward the dancers, where other children were spinning in circles to the lively tune of the fiddles.
Jacaerys released a long breath once they were safely out of earshot.
"That was... a lot."
He reached for his goblet and took a long drink, clearly attempting to compose himself after the most unexpected interrogation of his life.
Around you, the hall gradually returned to normal. Lords resumed their conversations, ladies giggled behind their hands, and the musicians continued playing as though nothing had happened.
"I'm sorry," you murmured to Jacaerys. "They can't keep their tongues in their mouths."
"No, it's fine," he replied with a quiet chuckle. "I liked her questions."
He leaned slightly closer, lowering his voice so only you could hear.
"Besides..." His eyes softened as they met yours. "I don't mind talking about children with you."
The simple confession caught you off guard.
You had never truly spoken about it before.
Of course, you both knew that one day you would be expected to provide heirs. It was simply part of marriage, especially a marriage between two noble houses.
But neither of you had ever admitted whether that was something you actually wanted.
For the first time, you wondered if perhaps Jacaerys had imagined the same future you had quietly dreamed about—a family of your own, with little children carrying pieces of both of you.
You opened your mouth to answer, but before you could say a word, a servant appeared to refill your goblets. You turned toward her and offered a quiet, "Thank you."
Once she had moved away, you reached beneath the table and took Jacaerys's hand.
With the lightest touch of your fingertips, you slowly traced a single word into his palm. MINE
He shivered.
The possessive little claim sent his heart pounding, and a slow, amused smile spread across his face.
You little tease, he thought.
Without looking down, he gently turned your palm upward and traced his own answer against your skin. YOURS.
You focused on the sensation of his fingertips, following each letter until the meaning became clear.
A quiet smile touched your lips.
Jacaerys wasn't accustomed to this kind of intimacy between the two of you—not in public, where every gesture had to be measured and every glance carefully controlled.
But he loved it.
Every fleeting touch. Every secret glance. Every small gesture meant only for him.
Above the table, he remained perfectly composed—the picture of a prince raised to hide every emotion behind a calm expression.
But beneath it all, your touch had left him thoroughly flustered.
Then your hand moved away from his palm.
You rose from your seat and began making your way toward the dance floor, leaving him wondering for a moment what you were doing.
As you passed behind him, your fingertips brushed lightly against the back of his neck, disappearing beneath his dark curls for the briefest moment.
Jacaerys inhaled sharply.
His shoulders stiffened for an instant before slowly relaxing as warmth spread from that tiny point of contact.
And then you were gone.
You walked toward the dancers with effortless grace, leaving Jacaerys sitting there as though he had been struck by some strange spell.
He watched you disappear into the crowd, unable to stop the smile tugging at his lips.
Jacaerys finally blinked, coming back to reality like a man waking from a dream.
The harpist had begun a lively dance, and couples were already rising from their tables.
His eyes immediately found you.
You joined the other dancers, moving with effortless grace. Every step seemed almost poetic—elegant, confident, and utterly distracting. All Jacaerys wanted was to be the one holding your hand.
Instead, he waited.
Patiently.
At least, he tried to.
The dance wasn't particularly fast, a gentle waltz beneath the warm glow of the torches. Jacaerys watched every movement as you glided across the floor with some nobleman's son who had been bold enough to ask you first.
A tiny spark of jealousy flickered in his chest.
Irrational. Fleeting.
But there nonetheless.
Then the music ended.
The dancers applauded politely, and before anyone could approach him, Jacaerys rose from his seat.
He crossed the hall with purpose, ignoring the curious looks following his every step. Protocol could wait. The musicians were already preparing for the next dance, and this time, he intended to be your partner.
He reached you just as the first notes of a soft lute melody filled the hall—a slower, more intimate tune than the one before.
Without asking, he extended his hand toward you.
A silent request. Dance with me.The entire court seemed to watch. Neither of you cared.
You placed your hand in his without hesitation, your palm fitting naturally against his. Jacaerys led you toward the center of the floor as the other couples formed around you.
The music swelled.
His hand settled gently at your waist while his other held yours, raised gracefully between you. There was no need for words. You simply moved together, matching each other's rhythm as though you had been dancing this way all your lives.
Then you looked up at him, a knowing smile playing on your lips. "Got jealous?"
Jacaerys's steps didn't falter, but his eyes betrayed him immediately.
A guilty little flicker passed through them.
He let out a quiet breath, leaning closer so only you could hear. "...Maybe a little."
There was no point lying to you. Not when you knew him so well.
His gaze softened.
"You know I only want you, right?" you murmured.
For a moment, Jacaerys simply looked at you.
Then a warm smile spread across his face.
"I know," he whispered. "And I only want you."
His fingers tightened gently around yours as the music carried you both across the floor.
"Come with me," Jacaerys murmured, just loud enough for you to hear.
"Where?" you asked, glancing at him in confusion.
He only gave you a knowing look.
There was something mischievous in his eyes, something that told you he had already made up his mind.
Without another word, he took your hand and guided you through the dancing couples. You followed quickly, trying to keep your head down and your steps discreet so no one would notice the two of you slipping away.
At last, you reached the doors.
Jacaerys pulled one open, and the two of you slipped into the corridor. The door closed behind you, muffling the music and laughter of the feast.
You released a quiet sigh.
"We're going to be in trouble for this."
"I don't care," he replied simply.
His fingers intertwined with yours again as he began leading you down the corridor toward your chambers, a faint, mischievous smile lingering on his lips.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The kiss was sloppy and desperate. The two of you stumbled into your chambers, barely giving the door time to close before you reached for him.
Jacaerys met you halfway, pulling you into a breathless kiss filled with all the longing you had both been trying to suppress.
Your fingers tangled into his dark hair, holding him close as the kiss grew more desperate, neither of you willing to be the first to pull away.
He pulled your body flush against him. The warm of his body made the spot between your legs ache. You tug at his tunic but rather than allowing you to undress him, Jacaerys breaks from the kiss and turns you around, so now your back was facing him.
"Gods, you were teasing me all day... touching me." He said while nipping at your neck, kissing your skin with open-mouthed kisses. "I missed having you like this."
"Jacaerys I-..." You wanted to say something but you couldn't. The tension was just too much.
"Say it." He demanded. Jacaerys begins to tug at your laces, removing your gown with ease and allowing it to fall at your feet. You just whimpered when you felt the cold air hitting your bare skin.
"Tell me." Jacaerys asked again when his fingers made contact with your clothed clit over your small cloth.
"Oh." You whimpered and let your head fall on his shoulder. "I want you... So bad." He nipped at your neck harder than before. "I crave the feel of you, we've been aparat for too long." You started to move your hips when you felt his hand wandering over your clothed folds.
"I know darling, don't worry, I will take care of you." He murmured to your ear gently sucking at the skin. "Lie down on the bed."
You immediately obeyed him and made your way to the bed, almost running so eager to have him already with you. He took of his tunic standing above you, then his belt followed hitting the floor. "Take this off." He said to you pointing at your small cloth that was already wet in one place next to you core. That sight made him shiver.
The two of you took the last pieces of clothing and he lied down next to you. "Come here, darling." He gestured for you to sit on his lap. He wanted you to be on top? That was new.
When you sat down on his body your hand wandered behind you to grab his hard length but he immediately stopped you. "No, I meant, come here." He said smirking at you. Your face was filled with confusion when you realized he wanted you to sit on his face. But then, you knew Jacaerys loved tasting you. He preferred that more than his own pleasure.
You quickly crawled to him. Your core inches from his face. He smiled like a little kid on his name day when he saw presents. "Gods...I've missed you." he only muttered when he grabbed your waist and pushed you down on his face.
When you felt his tongue against your folds your whole body felt forward to grab the headboard to have something to hold while he was eating you out like a starved man.
He hummed against you when he kissed your folds spreading them aparat with his tongue. Your clit bumped into his nose when you tried to match his rythym.
"Oh Jacaerys." You moaned so loudly you were afraid someone near your chambers might hear. But the sounds he was making were driving you insane, only adding to this sensation.
He enjoyed being this close to your intimate part that was stealing his whimpers and grunts.
You slightly lift yourself up for him to catch his breath and he played with your cunt only with the tip of his tongue. This feeling was so delicate that it made you twitch.
But he wasn't satisfied. Jacaerys wanted to devour you. "I said sit, my love." He mumbled before lowering you back to his mouth, but slightly lower than before so he could tease your clit with his mouth.
Jacaerys sucked your clit into his mouth and released it with a soft sound while his gaze stayed on you. "You're close aren't you, sweetheart? I can feel you dripping on my face."
"So close, Jacaerys. Please-" He started to place open-mouthed kisses and then he allowed his tongue to lick at the same spots over and over again.
When you reached your peak you felt the pleasure buzzing in your whole body. High whimpers and whines left your lips. Jace still holds you, softly kissing you.
When you came down from your high you pushed yourself from his body to lie down next to him. He hugged you tightly and stroked your back. "You were amazing my love. It wasn't too much?" He asked with the softness in his voice.
"No, it was really new but perfect." You smiled brightly when you saw him breathing heavily still trying to catch his breath.
Jacaerys intervined your hands and pressed a kiss to your knuckles and to your ring when he found himself blushing at your praise.
You reached between your bodies and grabbed his hard leaking length and started to stroke him.
"You don't have to-" Jacaerys went to stop you but you only smiled sweetly.
"I need you inside me." You mumbled against his mouth.
"You sure?" He stroked your cheek gently. "I don't want you to be sore later."
"I don't care." You replied already laying on your back. "I just want you."
He looked at you like you were sent from the Gods to be his. You gave his weeping dick some merciful strokes when he buried his face in the crook of your neck slowly sinking into your warm.
He was in heaven when he looked deep into your eyes, every part of you connected. You clenched around his cock when he started to pick up a pace.
At first it was slow thrusts but you felt them deep inside you. You just enjoyed being this close together, happily looking at each other when your bodies moved.
But after a time he started to go faster and deeper, pining your tights into the mattress with his hands so you could feel every cure of him deep inside you.
"Jace- Oh, gods." Your whined softly when he pounded into you, his eyes never leaving yours.
You touched his shoulders and played with his hair as his thrusts were losing their pace as he felt it approaching. A groan left his mouth when you clenched your walls around him once again.
Skin slapping against skin with the same rythym he moved above you. There was no rush in the way your lips found each other, his tongue against yours. Only the feeling of his dick against your oversensitive walls was enough to make you come apart.
"I'm not gonna last long..." He confessed, his brows frowing while rolling his hips forward. "You feel so good, all mine."
"Let go for me, my love." You said against his lips, your hot breath tickling his face. "I know you need it."
Something inside him broke with the last thrust. He cried into the crook of your neck when he slowed down his pace, he felt his seed spilling inside you.
You couldn't help but falling over the edge the second time, your whole body shaking and twitching. The two of you hugged each other desperately still coming down from your peak.
Not ready to let go, Jace sighed and rolled down from you but not without pulling you with him and tucking you safely. You tangled one of your legs into his and hummed happily.
"I love you so much." He confessed. "I can't wait to marry you so we could be together all the time."
"I love you." You said and kissed his cheek sweetly. "Soon, my love. Soon we will be husband and wife."
He kissed your forehead breathing the scent of you before taking a towel from your nightstand and cleaning you up.
You were so overwhelmed by the love you felt for him that tears gathered in your eyes.
Of all the places you had been, of all the moments you had lived through, you had never felt more at peace than when you were beside him.
Jacaerys had been there through every chapter of your life.
Your childhood companion. Your best friend. Your betrothed. And, somehow, the love of your life.
You were the happiest with him.
"Perhaps we should take a bath..." Jacaerys offered before dropping the towel on the floor. "And maybe air out the room...?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rhaenyra and Daemon departed for King's Landing just before dawn. Word had reached them that King Viserys lay upon his deathbed, and they wished to see him one last time. More importantly, they hoped he would have the chance to meet their youngest sons, Princes Aegon and Viserys, whom he had never truly known.
They also brought Lucerys and Joffrey with them. Joffrey had been only an infant when they left the Red Keep, too young to remember the halls of the castle or the city that had once been his home. Now, at last, he would see King's Landing with his own eyes.
That meant the two of you would be alone. For how long? You had no idea. Dragonstone was not far from King's Landing, so Rhaenyra and Daemon might return within a day—or perhaps stay a little longer. No one could say for certain.
Whatever the case, you wanted to make the most of the time you had. You intended to do it quickly, without interruptions.
It wasn't difficult to convince the High Priest. Jace argued so passionately that the poor man seemed convinced refusing the two of you would end with his head mounted on a spike.
The weather was shrouded in thick fog, and the late hour left the world outside cloaked in near darkness. The two of you were dressed in the very garments Daemon and Rhaenyra had worn on their wedding day.
You still remember watching that ceremony as children. Even then, Jacaerys had known that one day the two of you would stand where they once had, bound together in the very same way.
And how right he had been.
The two of you stood atop the hill, with Dragonstone looming behind you. The sea breeze carried the scent of salt, and the world around you seemed to fade away.
Gently, Jacaerys nicked your lower lip with the blade, careful not to hurt you. It stung for only a moment, but the sensation vanished the instant your eyes met his. Lost in the depth of his dark gaze, you couldn't focus on anything else.
Then it was your turn. You brought the blade to his lip and made a matching cut. He didn't so much as flinch. Instead, he held your gaze the entire time, a soft, knowing smile playing at the corners of his lips.
The two of you marked one another with your blood, tracing Valyrian glyphs upon each other's foreheads. Jacaerys carefully drew yours just beneath your Valyrian crown, his touch gentle and reverent. On your forehead a word was created - "FIRE"
In turn, you painted crimson mark across his freckled forehead. The word "BLOOD" was framed by the soft brown curls that fell around the blood-red symbol.
Then the two of you, cut your left palm and intertwined your hands, sealing the ritual as your blood mingled together. Crimson drops slipped between your fingers and fell onto the earth below.
The sight of so much blood did not disgust you. If anything, it sent a thrill through you, making your stomach flutter with anticipation.
"Blood of two. Joined as one. Ghostly flame. A song of shadows. Two hearts as embers. Forged in fourteen fires. A future promised in glass. The stars stand witness. The vow spoken through time. Of darkness and light" The High Priest spoke slowly and calmly in High Valyrian all the way through your vows.
Together, you drank from the same goblet, its wine mingled with your combined blood to seal the bond between you. It was an ancient rite, one that had bound the blood of House Targaryen for generations.
You had always believed that Valyrian weddings were far more beautiful than those performed under the Faith of the Seven. This was more than the exchange of vows—it was a union of blood, a bond that no one could ever break or take from you.
It was one of the oldest traditions of your house, and the two of you were determined to preserve it, passing it down through the generations, from yourselves to your descendants, just as your ancestors had done before you.
Your eyes never left his. He was a sight to behold. Clad in flowing beige robes adorned with deep crimson accents, he looked every bit the Valyrian prince. The rich red details contrasted beautifully with his soft brown curls, making it impossible to look away.
"Avy jorrāelinna iā īlvyz gīhori īlōndot sagon kelīlusy.” (I will love you until our very souls come to rest.) His words lingered between you, barely more than a whisper. Standing so close, you could feel Jacaerys's warm breath against your face as his quiet confession, spoken in the ancient tongue of your family, flowed effortlessly from his lips.
"Avy jorrāelan, kesrio paŋi." (I love you, my heart.) You answered him softly, and then your lips met at last. The faint metallic taste of the blood from the ritual still lingered between you, a reminder of the vows you had just exchanged, but it quickly faded from your thoughts when you felt his tongue enter your mouth.
One of his hands slipped into your silver hair while the other settled gently at your waist, drawing you closer. The kiss deepened, filled with all the longing, devotion, and passion the two of you had carried for years, as though the rest of the world had ceased to exist.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You could hardly bring yourselves to part. You hadn't even reached your chambers before you found yourselves wandering the dim corridors of Dragonstone, stealing kisses as you went. Laughing quietly between breaths, you stumbled against the cold stone walls, too caught up in each other to notice where your feet were taking you.
Neither of you broke the kiss as you made your way to your bedchamber. Almost by instinct, you reached blindly for the door handle, your fingers fumbling until they found it. The heavy wooden door creaked open, and together you crossed the threshold, still unwilling to part from one another.
At last, Jacaerys pulled away, breathing hard as he rested his forehead against yours. For a long moment, he simply looked at you, his eyes filled with quiet wonder, as though he still couldn't believe you were truly his.
"You're unreal, Jorrāeliarzys," he murmured between steadying breaths, a faint smile touching his lips. "You were sent by the gods... and I will thank them for that for the rest of my life."
"I can believe you're officially mine, husband." You said with a chuckle against his lips.
"We will be unstoppable, my dear wife. My future queen." He said while looking at your hand, now there was a bandage remaining on the cut he made earlier. "I hope it doesn't hurt, my love."
"It's fine. I would cut my whole body if it meant to be with you." You said honestly, because that was the true. You could burn alive by a dragon flame if it meant to reborn and be his wife.
Jacaerys looked at you with wide, unguarded eyes. Behind them burned a longing he had never tried to hide—not born of duty to the realm or the expectations placed upon him, but of love.
He wanted to claim you as his wife, not because tradition demanded it, but because, with every part of his heart, he wanted you to be his, just as he wished to be yours.
The impulsive moments you had shared in the past had been different. They were the reckless outbursts of youth, driven by stolen glances.
But this was different.
This felt solemn. Real.
You both understood what the future held. The path before you was no longer a distant dream but an approaching reality. One day, Jacaerys would wear the crown as King, and you would stand beside him as his Queen—the future you had dreamed of since childhood.
Now, at last, that dream was beginning to come true.
He started to place a open-mouthed kisses on your neck and you jaw, but when he reached behind your ear he whispered: "I want you so bad, my dear wife."
You looked up at him, your lips already parted in anticipation. Drawn together once more, you met him in a deep, lingering kiss that left your breath catching in your throat, the rest of the world fading away until there was only the two of you.
You started walking toward the bed, but before you could take another step, he slipped an arm around you and effortlessly lifted you into his embrace. Holding you as though you weighed nothing at all, Jacaerys carried you the last few steps before gently laying you upon the soft sheets, never once letting his gaze leave yours.
One by one, your garments slipped away, discarded across the room. Each layer was removed with quiet reverence, accompanied by lingering kisses.
Now, Jace was laying above you, his dark curls falling to your forehead, his breath heated against your pale skin. "I want you to have my kids, Jacaerys." You blurted out without a second thought.
He was looking at you. Eyes wide, his breath hitched. "Now? Are you sure, my sweet? You know that's not what I require from you. We can wait-"
"No." You immediately stopped him. "I want this now. I wanted this for a long time."
"Gods, the things you do to me." He leaned over and kissed you, putting a pillow behind your thighs.
Jace stroked his hard length. The tip of his cock now at your entrance, his precum mixing with your juices already leaking from you.
Your legs started to shake with anticipation and when he pushes himself inside you feel how he fills you up just perfectly, the curve of his dick sliding against your walls.
"Oh, Jacaerys" You moaned when he started to move with a slow and steady rythym. His hand slid into yours, grounding you against the bed.
You shifted beneath him, lifting your hips to meet his movements. Your legs wrapped around his waist, drawing him closer and pulling him even deeper. A soft gasp escaped your lips as your eyes fluttered shut, your head tilting back while you surrendered to the moment.
"Are you okay?" Jace whispered while brushing a kiss across your throat.
"Please go harder, I need to feel you deeper." You whined while looking into his eyes. You wanted him to consume you. Your body and soul, while the sight of him is the only thing you can think about.
Jacaery's thrusts grew stronger and harder, pounding into you with such an intensity you could only think about his name and broken moans leaving your mouth while the pleasure is overtaking over your whole body.
His free moved immediately between you when he felt like he's not going to last much longer. He found your clit, knowing how much you loved being touched there, so he started to rub circles over you.
You gasped at this sensation "Jace..."
"Fuck, that's it" He praised you while hitting that one spot inside. The pleasure was so intense you felt like you could float. "Let go, my dearest wife." He whispered in your ear and you felt like you were burning in fire when you finally came.
He wasn't much behind you. Jace grabbed your thighs and rocked his hips until he reached his peak and came inside you with a long groan.
He withdrew his cock from you but his tip remained at your entrance. You lifted your head to see what he was looking at.
You saw his cum leaking out of you right on his tip and he entered you one more time to push his seed back inside. "Sorry, darling" He murmured. "Can't waste any if you wanna carry my children."
You just moaned softly when you saw him in you again, his cum filling you up perfectly.
He took you into his arms placing kisses on your eyelids and cheeks. "My beautiful wife." Jacaerys whispered.
Your mouth slightly opened watching him in awe as he brushed his thumb across your lips. "Everyone thinks you're going to wed Aemond, but now you belong to me. By the law of the Valyrian Gods, our blood is combined together."
"I always belonged to you." You whispered against his lips. "And now our blood will run in the veins of our children" You said while caressing your stomach.
Jacaerys noticed that and he lowered himself to place kisses there. "I will pray to the Gods myself and ask them for a life to grow inside you."
He pressed gentle kisses across your skin one last time before carefully cleaning you with a soft towel. Once he was finished, the two of you settled into each other's arms, exhaustion and contentment lulling you toward sleep. Jacaerys placed lazy, lingering kisses along your shoulder as you hummed softly, savoring the warmth and comfort of being close to him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The two of you woke late the next morning, with golden sunlight already filtering through the curtains. Still drowsy, you remained wrapped in the soft sheets and each other's embrace. Your leg rested comfortably around his waist while his arms held you close, neither of you in any hurry to leave the warmth of the quiet morning.
You made love a couple of times this morning. With you, on top of him, moving your hips back and forth. You in charge of the pleasure consuming both of you. The sun shining across your skin and your silver hair while he admires your from beneath. His lips parted, hands on your waist guiding you.
After getting cleaned up you suggested to get dressed but it wasn't much in his interest. He passionately ate you out while your head was buried in the pillows muffling your screams and moans.
To return the favor, you moved your hand against his length. His head thrown back while you occasionally sucked on the tip of his cock. Your name leaving his mouth like an prayer.
When you knew your time was running out and soon you had to get up, he took you from behind. His chest pressed against your back, whispering soft words and praises in your ear.
After that, you two were laying underneath sheets, sweat dripping from your skin. "Now, we should get up" You murmured while stretching your arms.
"Yeah, yeah just a minute." Jace whispered into the pillow.
The silence inside your chambers was broken by the door creaking open.
You two froze. You didn't know what to do as you saw your mother - Rhanerya Targaryen. You wanted to run away or disappear completely when your mother caught you naked in bed, with your older brother day after you got married without telling anyone.
Her eyes wide with disbelief and surprise. Lips parting without a sound as she saw your clothes scattered across the room.
You two immediately sat up, hearts pounding in your chests as you clutched the blanket tightly.
Rhanerya jaw clenched as she watched you. Anger and confusion warred across her face. "Get dressed and meet me in Great Hall." She announced and left the room immediately.
You started to look for your clothes to get dressed. "Fuck, I didn't think they would be back so early." You said while lacing your gown.
"It doesn't really matter." Jace said trying to remain calm. "It would happen eventually. They will be angry but it's not like they can change the fact we are married."
The two of you made your way to the Great Hall. Jacaerys walked with his head held high, doing his best to appear confident as he prepared to face Rhaenyra. You, however, felt nothing like him. Your stomach twisted with nerves, and you looked every bit like a little girl who had been caught sneaking cakes from the kitchen, dreading the scolding that was sure to come.
In the Great Hall, Daemon stood with perfect composure, a broad smirk plastered across his face as he eagerly anticipated the drama—especially for once, since he wasn't the one at the center of it. Rhaenyra, on the other hand, stood with her back to the two of you. She hadn't even turned to face you, as though she couldn't yet bring herself to look.
"You can't imagine my surprise when a raven arrived at the Red Keep informing me that my two children had gotten married." She slowly turned to face you, her expression unreadable. "At first, I refused to believe it... so I came here to see it with my own eyes." Her gaze lingered on the both of you before she let out a quiet, disbelieving sigh. "But what surprised me most was finding my children tangled beneath the covers in my daughter's chambers."
Daemon let out a quiet huff of laughter, earning a sharp, warning glance from Rhaenyra that silenced him almost instantly.
Jacaerys stepped toward her slowly, his movements cautious. "I know you're angry," he said quietly. "But you wouldn't listen. You knew she never wanted to marry Aemond, and yet you refused to hear her."
"It's not even about that, Jacaerys," she said quietly, her voice softer than before. "I can deal with the Greens and whatever outrage comes from the broken betrothal. What hurt me most was that I wasn't there to witness my own children's wedding."
"We're sorry, Mother," you said softly as you stepped closer. "We weren't thinking clearly in that moment. We just wanted..." Your voice faltered as the words caught in your throat. You glanced at Jacaerys before looking back at her. "We just wanted to be happy."
Rhaenyra let out a weary sigh before gently cupping your cheeks in her hands. "I know, sweet girl," she murmured.
Her gaze shifted between the two of you, studying your faces for a long moment. At last, she gave a small nod.
"What's done is done. You've bound yourselves in the old Valyrian way, by blood itself. There is no turning back now."
"You could have come to me," she said quietly. "And perhaps... I should have listened to you."
With a weary sigh, she turned and began to walk away. After a few steps, she paused without looking back.
"Go and eat your breakfast. You must both be hungry."
With that, she disappeared down the hall.
The two of you exchanged a glance before taking your seats across from one another, finally beginning to eat. As the silence settled between you, the tension that had filled the room slowly began to fade.
A moment later, Daemon wandered over, an amused smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Don't worry about her," he said with a casual wave of his hand. "She did the very same thing years ago. We married without telling anyone, too." He let out a quiet chuckle. "Trust me—she'll get over it sooner than you think."
The two of you nodded before turning your attention back to the meal.
"Now, eat," Daemon said, gesturing toward the table. "I imagine neither of you had much of a chance to enjoy breakfast this morning."
As he passed by, he gave Jacaerys a firm pat on the shoulder before shooting you a knowing wink. The smug grin on his face made it abundantly clear that he was referring to far more than a delayed meal.
Weeks later, you discovered that you were expecting a child.
Jacaerys was overjoyed. From the moment he learned the news, he threw himself into preparing for fatherhood, determined to become the best father he could possibly be.
During your pregnancy, King Viserys passed away, and your mother, Rhaenyra Targaryen, was crowned Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Following her coronation, the two of you moved to the Red Keep, where the ceremony had taken place.
A few moons later, you gave birth to a beautiful daughter with silver hair and dark eyes. You named her Princess Visenya Targaryen.
"So, that's your brilliant idea? To give away your only daughter to this absolute monster?" Jacaery's angry voice echoed the walls of Dragonstone. The rain pelted against the windows, it was already late at night and Rhanerya was still working behind her desk. Until her oldest son interrupted her.
"That's what the king wishes to happen, Jace. He believes the marriage will reunite our families." She said simply, already tired of this conversation.
"With the cost of her own happiness?" Jace started walking towards her, the candle light catches his face.
"It's marriage, Jace." Rhanerya snapped. "A political duty to strengthen our house. I didn't have a choice either, a lot of people don't have a say in this matter."
"Well, you quickly find your way out of your marriage." He said with a scoff.
Rhaenyra's breath hitched at this sudden strike. "Jace, don't start this conversation again." She said in a low, steady voice.
"Aemond thinks we're bastards. He even thinks this about her, even though she inherited the Valyrian look. He's been teasing us about this since we were kids, and this never stopped. You think now this will change?"
"And you think we can prevent war, just like that?" She stood up, her jaw and fists were clenched.
He didn't say a word, just shook his head and looked at his feet with disbelief. How could she do this? Marry his sweet girl off to the Greens? She belonged to him. Her body, her soul. They were destined to be with each other.
Rhaenyra like she was reading his mind walked up to her first born and grabbed his shoulders. "I know you thought I would marry her off to you... but she's your sister, maybe it's better to keep your relationship this way?"
He didn't look at her. He couldn't. "Your grace" he said before bowing slightly and leaving this goddamn room.
Rhaenyra had no idea that your relationship now was far from 'being only siblings'. Only Daemon knew, but he knew everything. He saw when you two showed up late for dinner. Hair still messy and lips swollen from making out somewhere in the corner of Dragonstone. But he didn't say a word, only smirked like he always did. He saw when Jace sneaked out to your chambers late at night, and then he heard muffled moans and gasps filling your bedroom. But he never said a word to his wife.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next evening Jace wanted to visit you. He made a signal during breakfast. He tapped your foot under the table and gave you the look: I'll come visit you today. After fulfilling his duties he didn't make his way to his chambers, but to yours. It was already late and the moon started shining across the dark sky.
Jacaerys knocked on the door 3 times. This way you knew it was him. It was always three times. Three squeezes of your hand during council, meaning three words 'i love you'. Three kisses on your face: Two on your eyelids and one peck on your lips. Like you were something sacred.
That was how he had always treated you. To him, you were someone truly extraordinary. The fact that, out of all your siblings, only you possessed the unmistakable features of House Targaryen only reinforced his belief. He always said he thought you had been blessed by the gods themselves.
Since childhood, Jacaerys had always been fiercely protective and possessive of you. He never allowed other boys to touch you or even speak to you without his watchful eye. To him, you were someone to be cherished—he practically worshipped the very ground you walked on.
He constantly admired your grace, your spirit, and the way you carried yourself with quiet confidence. What he loved most was that you always knew your worth. You understood that Targaryens were not like other people. They set themselves apart not only through their striking appearance, but also through the dragons they rode.
And now? His mother expected him to simply accept giving you away to another man? He had always believed the two of you were destined to be together. Two siblings, meant to rule the realm side by side. The future King and Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.
In his mind, the Targaryen line was always meant to continue through you and the children you would have together.
You opened the door, only a few inches for him to walk in. You looked past him to see if the hall was clear, if nobody was watching. He closed the door with his back and looked at you. His eyes shining with darkness and urgency.
"I spoke to mother. Her decision is final."
"I didn't expect her to change her mind anyway.." His lips crashed against yours with quite urgency. He wrapped his arms around your waist to pull you closer, so now there's no space between the two of you.
"If she refuses to change her decision..." he murmured, breaking the kiss just long enough to brush his thumb gently across your lower lip. "Then I will."
You had no idea what he meant—or what he was planning to do. For the first time, you found yourself at a loss for words.
He simply looked at you, his gaze lingering as though he were committing every detail of your face to memory. Then, without another word, he leaned in and kissed you again, deeper than before. "Lay on the bed." He murmured.
You obeyed, settling comfortably against the pillows. He lowered himself over you, supporting his weight on his elbows so he wouldn't crush you beneath him.
"You're mine," he murmured, his lips brushing against the soft skin of your neck before he nipped at it gently, drawing a quiet, breathy moan from your lips. His fingers moved to the laces of your gown, slowly loosening them. "And no one is going to change that."
He removed your garment first, taking his time as though he wanted to savor every moment. His gaze lingered over every inch of your skin—a sight he had admired countless times before.
Then you helped him out of his own tunic and underclothes, sharing lingering kisses after each piece of clothing was discarded. Soon, your garments lay scattered across the floor, and your eyes were drawn to his hard, already leaking length.
"Be a good sister and lie on your stomach," he whispered against your ear after you had wrapped your hand around him and given him a few slow strokes.
Without hesitation, you did exactly as he asked, settling onto your stomach.
"Jace—" The word dissolved into the pillow as his fingers found their way inside you, slow and deliberate. Your breath caught. "Gods, already so wet for me." His lips brushed the curve of your ear.
His chest was solid against your back, his weight anchoring you to the mattress as his fingers began to move. "Are you alright?" He asked, his voice strained.
"Mhmm" That's the only muffled sound you were able to make. You didn't trust your voice to speak full sentences.
"Lift your hips for me, my love." You obeyed with a loud groan, this angle making his fingers slide into you even deeper. "That's right, so perfect."
You felt his thumb circling your clit. This spot was so sensitive, that even a slight brush of his fingers made you twitch with need.
"Jacaerys I-" Your words were caught in your throat when he applied even more pressure, his movements quicker.
"It's alright. Are you close, sister?" His fingers curved right back into the deepest part of you.
"Yes, Gods." You heard your voice trembling. He diabolically removed his fingers out of you and stopped his movements.
"Jacaerys... please, please don't stop," you whimpered, turning your head to look at him. His chest glistened with sweat, rising and falling with every breath. His eyes were fixed on you, filled with unmistakable admiration, yet beneath that tenderness lurked something darker—an insatiable hunger that refused to be hidden.
"Shh, don't worry, my sweet girl." He began to stroke himself, slowly moving his hand.
Suddenly, you felt the tip of his cock at your entrance. You wanted to sink him deep inside you in one swift move. "You ready?" He asked, his chest pressed against you, no space left.
You only nodded, and that was enough for him. He watched himself disappearing into your welcoming heat. Inch by inch, slowly memorizing this moment.
When he was fully inside you, you let a strangled moan, louder than before.
"Shh, be quiet. You don't want anyone else to hear you, hm?" He whispered against your ear, his hot breath making your head dizzy.
You groaned against the pillow. With this muffled sound, he started thrusting, trying to create a pace that would satisfy both of you.
"Gods, you're clenching around me so hard." He grunted between deep and slow thrusts.
You could only let out a soft moan as the overwhelming pleasure washed over your entire body. He gently squeezed your hand, trying to ground and comfort you, but you were already too lost in the moment to notice anything beyond the sensations consuming you.
His movements grew increasingly unsteady, the bed creaking beneath the two of you with each deliberate motion. Every shift of his body sent another quiet protest through the wooden frame, matching the frantic rhythm between you.
That was love. That was a kind of intimacy only the two of you could share. It was nothing like a bedding ceremony, something you knew would happen soon at your wedding night—a hollow ritual meant to prove the consummation of a marriage, stripped of tenderness and reduced to obligation. This was different. This was something deeper, something real. Something that truly meant everything.
With only a few more movements, you cried out into the pillow, your fingers clutching the sheets as waves of emotion and sensation swept through you. For a fleeting moment, everything else faded away, leaving only the overwhelming intensity of the moment you shared.
Jacaerys was not far behind. Sitting up, he pulled you closer, his hands resting firmly against your waist. "Fuck, you feel so good- I'm gonna-"
After a few final thrusts, he collapsed against your back once more, pressing his cheek to yours as a deep, ragged groan escaped his lips. His warm breath fanned across your skin while he lingered there, reluctant to let go.
The two of you remained like that for a long while, your breathing gradually slowing as the silence settled around you. After a moment, he carefully turned you onto your back, one gentle hand guiding you while the other steadied you. Your hand came to rest on his shoulder as he leaned over you, his dark curls brushing against your forehead in a soft, ticklish touch.
"I love you," he whispered.
In the darkness of your chambers, you felt the warmth of his breath against your skin. He brushed a tender kiss across each of your eyelids before stealing a quick, gentle peck from your lips. When he pulled back, his forehead rested against yours, his gaze soft and full of quiet devotion.
"I love you too," you whispered, your fingertips gently tracing the freckles scattered across his cheek. A soft smile tugged at your lips as you held his gaze. "So much that, sometimes, it almost hurts."
He swallowed, as if trying to convince himself that you were truly there—that you were real. That somehow, the gods themselves had blessed him with you, with a love so rare and precious it felt almost impossible to believe.
For a moment, he simply looked at you, overwhelmed by the warmth of your affection and the quiet miracle of being loved so completely.
"I won't let them take you from me." He said with a stern voice.
"Jace, you know there's nothing we can do to prevent this-"
"We can stop this," he interrupted, his voice carrying a mixture of hope and determination.
When something needed fixing, Jacaerys had always been the first to search for a solution. He was the kind of person who faced every problem head-on, refusing to stand by when something—or someone—he cared about was at risk.
"You know the story of Queen Alysanne and King Jaehaerys? Our own ancestors." He asked and you only nodded looking into his eyes.
"They were brother and sister, just like us. But they married in secret. On Dragonstone," he continued. "The very same place we're living in now."
A slow smile spread across his face as the vision took shape in his mind. To defy everyone, to choose your own path, and to finally set things right. For the first time, it seemed as though he could see a future where everything fell into place.
"If we are bound by blood, then no one has the right to tear us apart," he said, his voice steady with conviction.
"And then?" he continued, his voice filled with a quiet certainty. "We will become the King and Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. We will rule together—just as they once did."
The thought seemed to ignite something within you, a vision of a future where you stood side by side, united against the world that had tried to keep you apart.
"We will have an empire unassailable..." You said with a sly smile.
"And our children will rule it forever and a day." He added, stroking your shoulders.
"What do you say, my sweet sister?" he asked, noticing the smirk slowly forming on your lips.
It was the same smirk he knew so well—the one that appeared whenever a dangerous idea began taking shape in your mind.

"I spoke to your brother." I turn around and see Jacaerys, grinning like a fool, his eyes full of love and happiness. People at Dragonstone would say Jace is cold and determined, always under pressure with being the future king of the seven kingdoms. Always stressed about his lessons; practicing High Valyrian, because how could the heir to the Iron Throne not be fluent with this language? Training with Lucerys and taking his anger out on him, and after that he's guilty about it. But here? He's different. No expectations. Only him and his beautiful girl.
The girl that was a bundle of memories from childhood. Chasing each other around the Red Keep gardens, playing with wooden swords in the backyard of Winterfell. Jacaery's hands freezing from the snow that you were used to. But you were quick enough to realize he was cold, so you took his hands in yours and placed kisses from the top of his fingertips to his wrist. He tried to shrug you off, but you could see his pink cheeks and feel his heart pounding. He always claimed that the years you spent together as children, were the best years of his life.
"About what exactly?" You say as your hands find their way on his shoulders. After the feast, the staff started cleaning the Great Hall, so you and Jace shared this one look, made sure Cregan is not watching and made your way to your chambers. Before closing the door you looked around the corridors making sure no one saw you. Because a lady with her betrothed - alone, in her chambers? That would be scandalous. If anyone saw this today, tomorrow gossip would fill Winterfell walls.
But now, the two of you, were standing in the middle of your bedroom. No space between your bodies. Moonlight filling the room, and only a few candles lighting the way to your bed.
"About you..." He says while stroking your dark curls, swirling them around his fingers. "I think he accepted me" He said with a grin.
"Oh really? What did you say to him that he suddenly accepted you?" You said teasingly, accenting this word.
His smirk grew even more, seeing you- teasing him, whispering this simple sentence against his mouth was enough for his breath to hitch.
"You would know... If only you were around us, and not dancing with those fools" He said in a whisper that made this heat pool between your legs. But you didn't give up so easily.
"I see.. Was the Prince jealous of me?"
"Can you blame me? They were looking at you like that... knowing exactly who you belong to."
"I don't see the problem my Prince.." oh, you always called him that, just to tease him, and he hated that he liked it so much. "You could dance with me...and show them that I'm yours..."
Your words were interrupted by his lips crashing into yours. Your body stood still at his eagerness, but soon your mouth started to move against his, and slowly you opened your mouth to allow his tongue to slip inside. You two never kissed like that before, but you would be lying if you said you didn't like it.
When you felt his tongue against yours, you left a muffled moan. At this sight he groaned and moved his hips against yours. Slightly, but this friction made your body burn with want.
He opened his eyes to look at you. The woman of his dreams, his love, his everything. "Soon, the whole realm will know that you are mine." He whispered against your mouth and for the first time in your life you were speechless, so you kissed him again.
Jace doesn't hesitate. The moment your lips meet his again, he surges forward- kissing you back with a hunger that's been building all night.
His hands slide up to frame your face as the kiss deepens, warm mouths moving together like they've been starved for each other. A fire crackles in the hearth nearby... casting golden light over tangled limbs and hurried breaths.
Jace backs you toward the bed—a massive four-poster draped in furs and dark velvet. The room is quiet except for the fire’s crackle and your shared breathing. He slowly lowers you into the bed and lays above you.
He breaks the kiss only to trail his lips down your jaw, then along your throat—soft, open-mouthed kisses.
One hand lifts your head to gently undo a pin in your hair; dark strands begin to fall loose around your shoulders as he works. "Beautiful" he murmurs and pecks your lips one more time.
"We don't have to do this..." He said in a hushed voice, to know that this moment belongs only to you two, no matter what decision you'll choose. "If you're not ready... we can wait for our wedding. I want this night, our first time, to be wonderful"
"It will be, my love. I want you, so bad." You say stroking his dark hair. Even darker than yours. "I dreamed of this night, about being with you like this"
He lets out a breath and smile. "If it's going to be too much, tell me."
"I promise." He's the only man that you desire for. And the only man that you'll let to see you like this.
Your hair tumbles down—silky, unbound—and Jace exhales like a man seeing something sacred. He gathers a strand between his fingers, then presses a kiss to the curve of your neck where it meets your shoulder.
The firelight dances over you both as he kisses lower: along your collarbone, then he goes higher again and he slightly bites the skin of your neck, breathing you in. Those actions make your hips push against his and you feel his hard length against you. You gasp into his mouth, your legs wrap around his waist to feel him, more and more.
One hand slips behind you to pull you flush against him while the other finds the laces of your gown—not tearing or rushing… but undoing carefully working at each tie with clumsy fingers fueled by need.
The last of your gown’s laces come undone—Jace’s fingers gentle despite his eagerness. The fabric slips from one shoulder, then the other, pooling slightly around your waist as it begins to fall. Now, you lay bare beneath him.
He pulls back just enough to look at you—the firelight gilding your bare skin, casting gold over every curve. For a heartbeat, Jace simply stares, overwhelmed by how beautiful you are.
"My beautiful girl" He says, stroking your belly with his thumbs. "Only mine"
"Jace...please" you beg, whining with need.
"Please,what? Tell me what you want, my love"
"I want to see you..." You wanted to see him bare above you, just as he sees you. You sat up and the two of you started to unbutton his cloak. You undressed him carefully, leaving kisses at his bare chest and at his throat.
Jace’s bare chest rises and falls quickly—warm, smooth skin dusted with faint scars from training. The firelight glints off the strands in his hair as he leans into you again.
This time, when your bodies press together… it’s skin to skin. No fabric left between you—not even a hint of space.
A soft gasp escapes him at the contact—the heat of you against him sending sparks through every nerve.
His hands roam: over your shoulders, down your arms… then back up to frame your face as he kisses you with slow-burning intensity—like this moment is all that exists.
And when he finally took his trousers off, you saw his hard, leaking length pressing against your tight. Your mouth was dry at the sight of him, your lips slightly parted.
"You like what you see?" He smirked and his thumb brushed your bottom lip.
You couldn't form any proper sentence, or any proper thought. He only chuckled and kissed you again.
His fingers find their way to the wetness between your legs. "Gods..." He breathed heavy. "Is this all for me?"
"Yes, only for you... Only you can make me feel like this." You say, your heart is beating fast and your hips try to grind against his hand.
His thumb brushed all the way from your clit to your core gathering your wetness. You moaned at this sensation.
He licked his lips at the sight of your juices dripping from finger. He brushed the same thumb across your lip and you shivered when you tasted yourself.
Jace grinned and continued to kiss your whole body. Every kiss was left with him whispering 'i love you' against your skin. So quiet, so soft that you started to think if it's only your imagination, but then you look up to see him, his lips slightly parted.
He stops just above the space where you need him the most and whispers: "You sure?" He still asks you even though you almost grind yourself against his mouth.
"Yes, Jace, please I-" You don't get to finish when you feel the first slow stripe of his tongue as it goes from your entrance all the way to your clit. The sound you make is so loud you hope nobody was near your chambers.
"You taste divine sweetheart" He lifts your legs to rest on his shoulders, just like he dreamed when he was alone in his own chambers in Dragonstone.
He got back to kissing your folds and your clit. He didn't let it show that he was new to this, expertly eating out, like that was his favorite activity.
His tongue circles your clit slowly and then he finally closes his lips around it and sucks. The sounds you were making, oh, the sounds were driving him insane. He learned that sucking on your pearl was making your sounds go so, so loud. Only for him to hear, only for him to enjoy. Giving you pleasure was enough for him. "Don't hold yourself back, my love. I want to hear every little sound you make."
The pressure in you kept tightening itself, his spit mixing with your own juices, his eyes never leaving yours as he lapped at you. "Come for me, my love, I want to see you come undone" he sucked at your clit over and over again, delicately teasing with the tip of his tongue.
He intertwined your hands. "Come for me, my future wife" He sucked on you, moving his head slightly and holding like that for a bit longer. That was it. Those words. You let not even a moan, but a scream of pleasure, you felt it everywhere. In every bone of your body.
Jace placed a few kisses on your stomach and now was laying inches away from your face. He pecked your lips once and rested his forehead on yours. "Are you okay? It wasn't too much?"
"No, it was perfect. I felt wonderful." You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him.
He blushed like a little boy at your words and kissed your cheek.
"I want to give you the same pleasure." You whispered against his lips.
"No, my dear. You don't have to." He said stroking his cheek, but you still felt his hard length against your entrance.
"I want to. I want to watch you come undone, just like you watched me." He looked at you, eyes dark with need, but he didn't want to push you to do something uncomfortable.
"It's just, I don't know how." You weren't embarrassed by this. You lived too many years together to be awkward next to each other. Sure, you read some romance story from the library in Winterfell. It was described simply: how to make a woman pregnant, many positions and all of that. You understood this process, but you never saw a description of only giving pleasure to a man.
"I can show you, if you want." He said softly. "But don't feel pressured to do so."
"No, please, I want this." He smiled and pushed your hair behind your ear.
"Give me your hand" he said softly, you did as he said. "Now, spit on it." You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion but after a second you obliged. Not breaking eye contact you spat on your hand. Jace's eyes went wide at this view and his cock twitched.
"Good." He whispered. "Now move your hand around me, slowly first."
You touched him for the first time. The feeling of having him around your fist made your core pulsing with need again.
After a while you speed up your movements, teasing his tip with your thumb. "You're doing so well, my wonderful girl. Just like that."
You saw his breath hitching as the pleasure increased. He tried to kiss you to muffle his moan but when your lips were just inches from his, your other thumb pressed down on his bottom lip to hear this pretty sound your boy was making.
Just a few strokes took him apart to groan into your mouth. His seed spilling into your hand and on your belly. "Gods...I've missed you so much" He kissed your cheek innocently, such a difference from the unholy things you just did.
He bent down to grab his shirt from the floor and cleaned your hand and your belly. "Jace, it's not necessary.."
"Shh, don't worry about it." You laid your hand softly on his arm and he covered both of you with a fur blanket.
"Before the feast today, I wrote to my mother" You hear Jace's voice again.
You looked up to see him, his beautiful dark eyes and those freckles that were driving you insane.
"I asked her permission to get married to you. As soon as possible. I don't want to wait anymore."
Your eyes went wide with surprise. "But.. you're at war. Is she going to allow it?"
"It's going to be a small ceremony. At Dragonstone. Just our closest family. Nothing huge."
"I've dreamed of this... Since we were kids Jacaerys. I don't want anything else just as much."
He grinned and leaned down to kiss you. "I know, my love. But now, we can finally have this. Let me return to Dragonstone soon. I will talk to Rhanerya and then we can say our vows, and be together till death separates us."
You nodded quickly. That was the best news you heard in a while. "I love you my heart, my love, my everything."
He stroked your hair softly. "I love you, my bride to be." He kissed you, no space between the two of you. Skin to skin. Soul to soul.
"I should go." He murmurs between kisses.
"But I don't want you too." You say with a sigh against his lips.
"Do you want Cregan to realize I'm not in my chambers?"
"Alright, get dressed." You quickly stood up and started collecting your clothes that were all over the floor of your bedroom. He giggled at your sudden action. The vision of your brother finding out about the two of you...
You both slowly dressed up sharing kisses after every piece of clothing. When you were finally done he stroked your cheeks and kissed you one final time.
"See you tomorrow, my love" He whispers.
"Tomorrow." You peck his lips. He made his way out of your chambers, making sure no one is nearby. He glanced at you and winked, just like you did earlier. When the door finally closed you collapsed and sighed with overwhelming joy.
Every word he said, every move of his fingers, his mouth on you... This memory of him still replaying in your head.
When you try to sleep, you only find yourself wanting more and more of him. You could never get enough of Jacaerys Velaryon, the boy who stole your heart, and the man who still keeps it.

Your brother and Jace talk in the hall, and you walk past the entrance. You couldn't wait to see your man so the door creaks softly as you push it open. Inside, the hall is dimly lit by flickering torches, casting long shadows across the stone floor. Your brother Cregan stands near the hearth with his arms crossed—stoic as ever—while Jace faces him in polished Valyrian steel armor. At your entrance, both men turn. Jace’s dark hair catches an orange of firelight—and for a heartbeat too long, he just stares at you.
Jace's breath hitches—almost imperceptibly. The boy you remembered, lanky and teasing with sea-green eyes, is gone. In his place stands a man: taller, sharper-jawed, shoulders broad from war. Cregan raises an eyebrow but says nothing. Jace takes one step forward—then another—and suddenly he’s before you. Without ceremony or formality he pulls you into a fierce embrace.
Jace holds you tightly, his armored chest cool against your cheek. He smells of salt and steel—of the sea and battle—and for a moment, nothing else exists: not the war outside, not the tension in Cregan’s gaze.
He buries his face in your hair briefly before pulling back just enough to look at you.
"Gods," he whispers "you're even more beautiful than I remembered."
Behind him, Cregan clears his throat pointedly.
"Be careful, or you might be killed right here" you chuckle.
Jace glances over his shoulder at Cregan, who is now glaring with the intensity of a wolf guarding its den. A slow, reckless grin spreads across Jace’s face—one that says he knows exactly how dangerous this moment is… and doesn’t care.
He leans in closer to you anyway, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper.
"Worth it," he murmurs—and then presses his lips firmly against yours.
A bold move. An outrageous one. The kind that could earn him a dagger between the ribs from your brother.
Cregan moves—fast as winter wind. In one stride, he’s across the hall, his hand slamming down on Jace’s shoulder to wrench him backward with brutal force.
The kiss is broken violently. Jace stumbles, nearly tripping over a rug—but catches himself just in time to see Cregan loom over him like a storm cloud made flesh.
Your brother doesn’t shout. He doesn’t draw steel but the murderous chill in his gaze speaks volumes.
"Jacaery's" Cregan says softly "you dare kiss my sister like that?"
Jace straightens, undaunted despite the sheer radiating from Cregan.
"Yes" he answers simply, no hesitation. Then, with a reckless smirk: "I’ve been wanting to do that since I got here."
A dangerous answer. A suicidal one.
Cregan's jaw tightens. His fingers twitch toward the dagger at his belt.
The air crackles with tension—one wrong word and blood will spill on these stones.
"Well is the feast today?" You ask to break the uncomfortable silence.
The sudden shift in topic cuts through the tension like a blade. Cregan’s glare wavers slightly—his murderous focus disrupted by your casual question.
Jace, seizing the lifeline you’ve thrown him, exhales quietly and nods.
Cregan finally releases Jace with a rough shove and steps back, though his expression remains stormy. He folds his arms again.
Aye," your brother grunts. "Food at dusk."
A pause.
"Jacaerys will sit at my right."
"Good, I didn't plan on sitting too long" you said casually.
Jace suppresses a small smile, and even Cregan lets out a gruff chuckle. You’re not the kind of lady to sit around waiting. No, you always have a plan—and your own mind, gods be damned.
Cregan gives you a sidelong glance; a rare glint of approval in his ice blue eyes.
"No," he agrees dryly, "you've never been one to sit and look pretty."
"I plan to drink more wine than I should and dance" You said with a grin.
Your carefree declaration earns a snort from Cregan, and even Jace can’t quite hide his amusement. You’ve always been the wild she-wolf amidst the northmen—the one to ride fastest and laugh loudest.
"Of course you do," your brother grunts, though there’s a hint of affection in his voice. "Drink, dance, and charm the pants off any poor fool who crosses your path."
"That's what I'm best at." You shrug your shoulders.
Jace's grin widens, full and bright like sunlight breaking through winter clouds. He remembers this about you - the way you owned every room with nothing but your presence.
"You always were," he says warmly. "Remember at King's Landing? When we danced that summer night before I left for Dragonstone?"
Cregan raises an eyebrow, clearly unfamiliar with the story. Jace turns slightly toward him.
"She had half the court dancing by morning - lords, ladies... even my father couldn't stay seated."
"It was a great night" You say. "And morning..."
Jace chuckles, a rich sound that fills the hall. His eyes crinkle at the corners as he recalls it vividly.
"That morning after..." he starts, then stops with a smirk. "You stole my cloak and rode off through the city like a thief. The guards chased you halfway to Flea Bottom.
Cregan listens in silent fascination - this side of you was new to him. He'd known his sister as fierce and untamed... but not recklessly joyful.
"And when they caught up?" Jace leans against a wooden beam, arms crossed as he recalls the memory with visible delight. "You leapt off your horse right in front of the Red Keep gates. The entire Gold Cloaks were shouting after you like madmen."
"It was a long time ago.." you said memorizing your childhood with him.
Jace's expression softens, a bittersweet nostalgia creeping into his gaze. Six years since that night - six long years of war and distance.
"Too long," he murmurs. "I thought about you every damn day."
Cregan shifts uncomfortably at the raw honesty in Jace's voice. It wasn't like him to be so open with feelings - not when he'd been trained as a soldier, a prince.
You clear your throat looking at Cregan, because of course Jace can't keep his mouth shut even around him.
Cregan catches your subtle cue and takes the hint. He unfolds his arms and grunts gruffly.
I should... oversee the preparations for tonight," he mutters, casting one last warning glance at Jace before striding out of the hall.
Once he's gone, the silence settles heavily between you and Jace. You're alone now—truly alone for the first time in six years.
You walk up to him "I missed you" you say truly.
Jace's breath catches. For a man who commands armies, he suddenly looks uncharacteristically vulnerable.
"I missed you too," he says softly, his voice rough with emotion. "Every godsforsaken day."
Without hesitation this time and without fear of your brother interrupting, Jace cups your face in his hands and kisses you properly - not the quick peck from earlier, but a deep kiss full of six years' worth of longing.
"Just...don't do that in front of my brother" You said pulling away from him just a bit.
Jace pulls back just enough to smirk, his lips still close to yours.
"I can't promise that," he admits shamelessly. "Your brother hates me. Might as well give him something real to glare about."
Then, quieter: "Besides... I've waited too damn long for this."
He kisses you again - slower this time, savoring it like fine wine after years of drought.
"I know you are the prince and you think you can do whatever you want, but control yourself..." You said with a grin laughing
Jace's smirk only grows wider at your playful scolding. He leans in, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.
"Control myself? Me?" he teases. You know I've never been good at that"
He presses another light kiss to the corner of your mouth, then one on your cheek - testing boundaries like a man who's spent years without you and has no intention of wasting time now.
"And if I don't control myself... what are you going to do about it?"
"I don't know, maybe one day you will see..."
Jace raises an eyebrow, intrigued by your cryptic threat. A challenge? From you? That was new.
"Oh?" he says, his tone laced with amusement and curiosity. "Is that a promise or a warning?"
He leans back slightly to study your face - searching for clues in the curve of your smile, the glint in your eyes. The mighty Prince of Dragonstone... genuinely unsure what you might do next.
You wrap your hands around his shoulders "I think you will be satisfied no matter what"
Jace rests his hands on your hips, pulling you closer until there's barely any space left between you. He cocks his head, a lazy grin playing across his lips.
"Hmm," he murmurs, feigning skepticism. "You think so? I can imagine a few things I'd be very satisfied with."
His voice dips lower on the last part, gaze darkened with a desire that's anything but subtle. He tightens his grip on your hips, just enough to make his meaning crystal clear.
"Oh yeah? Like what?" you said teasingly.
Jace exhales sharply through his nose, a mix of amusement and barely restrained hunger in the sound.
"First," he says slowly, "I’d kiss you like this."
He does exactly that - claiming your mouth with slow, deliberate heat. It’s not frantic or desperate; it’s thorough, as if memorizing every detail of you after years apart.
"And then..." he pulls back just enough to murmur against your lips,
Jace breaks the kiss just enough to trail his lips along your jawline, speaking between feather-light brushes of his mouth against your skin.
"Then I’d take you somewhere private," he says, voice rougher now. "Somewhere with a bed. Or a table. Hell, even the floor if we have to."
He nips playfully at your earlobe before continuing:
And then? I’d remind you exactly how much I’ve missed you."
Shiver runs down your spine at his words. "You know, my chambers are pretty comfortable, maybe you should visit...after the feast?"
Jace's smirk turns downright wicked at that. The feast may be a few hours away, but his mind is already racing with visions of what could happen afterward.
"Are they?" he drawls, his thumbs tracing slow circles on your hips. "I suppose I need to check that myself."
He pulls you flush against him again, the heat in his eyes unmistakable now.
"After the feast then," he murmurs, his voice husky and full of promise. "No more waiting."
You kiss him again, just a peck on lips. "I like your new hair... the curls are really... Northern."
Jace chuckles against your lips, the sound warm and pleased as you compliment his hair. He’d grown it longer for this campaign - a tactical choice to blend in with Northerners, but he hadn’t expected you to like it so much.
"You do?" He asks between kisses. "I thought maybe you'd miss my old shorter style."
He reaches up self-consciously, running fingers through those very curls.
"No, they suit you better" You started to play with his curls "And those freckles..."
Jace's breath hitches as your fingers explore the new freckles dotting his nose and cheeks - faint but unmistakable, earned from months of riding under the Northern sun.
"Fuck," he mutters, "I forgot about those. Do they look stupid?"
He asks with sudden self-consciousness, something rare for a prince so used to admiration. The wind and cold had marked him differently up here - not like a pampered Dragonstone lord anymore.
"Are you kidding me? You look handsome, I wish I could have those"
Jace's face lights up with boyish delight at your compliment. The freckles - which he’d initially thought were a flaw - suddenly feel like something to be proud of.
"Really?" he says, his voice softer now, almost disbelieving. "I mean... I spent the whole summer riding and they just appeared one day."
He leans into your touch as you continue playing with his curls, clearly enjoying the attention. For a man who'd faced down armies without flinching, this level of affection from you unraveled him completely.
"Probably from the sun..." You murmur "How is Vermax by the way? Isn't he too cold here?"
Jace's expression brightens even more at the mention of his dragon. Vermax - a bronze-and-green beauty with wings like silk - had been his companion for many years now.
"Vermax's doing well," he chuckles, a note of fond pride in his voice. "It took him some adjustment, but he's been hunting now, in Godswood"
Jace pauses to roll his eyes. "Gods know he won't eat the salted beef the Northmen keep feeding us."
"Oh, I'm sorry my prince. Maybe I will ask the chef to cook something different for you, since you don't like our food." You tease him, hands on his chest
Jace's nose wrinkles in mock offense, though his eyes spark with amusement.
"Please don't," he says dramatically, "I’d rather eat roasted rat than offend the Northmen’s pride. They work hard on that salted beef."
He covers your hands where they rest on his chest, squeezing them gently.
"And how is Lucerys? I haven't seen him in a long time" you ask softly.
Jace's expression softens at the mention of his younger brother. He pulls you closer, almost instinctively.
"Luke... he's doing well." he says quietly. "Gods, you should see him now. He's growing so fast."
Jace hesitates for a moment, then: "He misses you." he adds, a hint of wistfulness in his voice. "We both do."
"I know.. I've missed you too, so much"
Jace exhales shakily, his voice thick with emotion as he pulls you into a tight embrace.
"I thought about writing to you. A hundred times. I even started letters." He admits quietly. "But then the war got worse and... I didn't know what to say that wouldn’t sound stupid or pathetic."
His arms tighten around you slightly, like he's afraid if he lets go, this moment might dissolve - that maybe it was all just some cruel dream after months of separation.
"I hope it's not gonna turn out worse.."
Jace takes a deep breath, his expression growing more serious at your words. The war - the real reality of it - is impossible to ignore, even in this stolen moment of comfort. He pulls back just enough to look at you, his arms still wrapped around your waist.
"It won't," he says firmly, his voice a low, reassuring murmur against your ear."I won't let it. I promise."
There's a fierce determination in his eyes - the same one he has when facing down an enemy on the battlefield. He means every word.
"I worry about you.. and your family, but I know you will get through it"
Jace cups your face gently, his thumbs brushing away the worry creasing your brow.
"You don't have to," he says softly. "I've got Vermax. And I'm not stupid - I fight smart."
A small, lopsided smile forms on his lips as he leans in to press a kiss to your forehead.
"And when this is all over? We're going back home together. Just like we were supposed to."
"I know, maybe after all of this, we will finally get married " - You said with a hope in your voice.
Jace's smile broadens at that, the thought of it almost a tangible thing between you
"Yes," he says, his voice full of quiet certainty. "When this is over, we'll be married. And we'll have peace. And land. And... a family, if the gods are kind."
His gaze softens as his fingers brush lightly along the curve of your cheek - gentle, tender in a way that contrasts with the rest of his battle-worn exterior.
"We will, I know it" You say with excitement in your voice, knowing everything it's going to be fine.
Jace exhales, slow and steady, like the weight of all his hopes is finally being voiced aloud.
"Can you picture it? A wedding at Dragonstone. The cliffs would be decorated with banners - silver and sea-green. My mother would cry." He chuckles fondly at the image.
"I know, it's going to be perfect. It's all I dreamed of." You admit.
Jace's eyes shimmer with something dangerously close to tears, but he blinks them away quickly - a prince doesn't cry.
"You've dreamed of that? Of marrying me?" he asks, voice thick."All this time? Even when I was gone?"
He presses his forehead to yours briefly before continuing:
"I used to lie awake in my tent and imagine it too. The hall decorated. The feast. You in white."
"Of course I did" You say "You were the only thing on my mind" You kissed him again, deeply, just to pull back and walk away towards the door.
Jace lets out a small, frustrated sound at the loss of your lips, clearly not done with the moment just yet. His eyes follow you as you start to walk away, almost a physical pull between you.
"Where are you going?" he calls after you, an edge of impatience in his voice. "You can't just kiss me and then walk away. That's cruel."
"Of course I can, and I have to get ready" You said with a smirk.
Jace crosses his arms, leaning against a wooden beam as he watches you leave. His smirk is still firmly in place, but there's an unmistakable pout forming.
"You're really going to make me wait? After that kiss?" he complains dramatically. "You used to be nicer when we were children."
A pause. Then:
"Hurry up and get ready then. I'll see you at the feast."
"See you at the feast... and after that" You wink before closing the door.
Jace waits until the door clicks shut behind you. The hall is silent again, save for the crackling of torches.
He exhales slowly, running a hand through his newly grown curls as he stares at nothing in particular - replaying every word of your conversation in his mind.
The feast tonight was suddenly going to be unbearable. Every second would stretch endlessly until it was over and he could finally see you again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Great Hall of Winterfell is alive with the sounds of a feast - clinking goblets, laughter, the occasional roar from drunk Northern lords. Long tables groan under platters of roasted meats and breads.
Jace sits at Cregan's right as promised. He wears his finest Valyrian armor - polished to perfection despite its battered war scars.
His eyes keep darting toward the entrance where you're expected to arrive any moment now.
Then he sees you- every eye in the hall turns when you appear - but none more than Jace's. He sits up a little straighter in his chair, his gaze tracking every movement as you glide into the room. He's not the only one watching you - the entire court seems to have grown still at your arrival
Jace stands abruptly, ignoring the smirk Cregan throws him. He strides across the room until he's standing a short distance away, looking you up and down shamelessly: "Gods, you look..." he trails off, seemingly at a loss for words.
"Yeah, yeah I know, you look handsome as well" You said teasingly.
He scoffs, clearly trying to downplay the compliment, though a hint of a flush appears across his cheeks.
"I always look handsome," he says arrogantly, raising an eyebrow. "That's no surprise. But you..."
He takes in the way the dress hugs your figure, the way the fabric's color makes your eyes shine brighter than ever. "You look like the most beautiful thing in this godsforsaken castle."
"Thank you"... blush covering your cheeks. "Where's the wine? I'm thirsty"
Jace bursts out laughing - loud, unrestrained. The sound cuts through the hall's noise, drawing amused glances from nearby lords.
"That's my girl," he says proudly. "Right to business."
Without hesitation, he signals a servant with a sharp wave of his hand. A maid scurries over instantly with two goblets of deep red wine - strong Dothraki vintage that Rhaenyra had shipped north for diplomacy.
"Is my brother kind to you?" You ask.
Jace takes a sip of wine before answering, his gaze flicking to Cregan, who's in a heated discussion with a group of northern lords. He looks every inch the Warden of the North, cold and regal in his furs and wolfhead brooch.
"Kind isn't the word I'd use," Jace finally replies, a wry smile twisting his lips. "He's a hard man, and he doesn't trust anyone. Especially not a prince from the south."
"I know, the Northerners don't trust the South. But he will be loyal to you. A stark never forgets his oath. And maybe if you wouldn't be so touchy with his sister in public, he could like you even more" You said pinching his shoulder.
Jace takes another slow sip of wine, considering your words. His fingers tap lightly against the goblet as he thinks.
"You're right," he admits after a moment. "I probably shouldn't have kissed you in front of him like that. It was reckless."
He sighs, running a hand through his curls "But I've been apart from you for so long - seeing you again after all this time? My self-control isn't exactly at its best."
"I know, I think I won't control myself around you, today." You said low so no one could hear you.
Jace's eyes darken with something far more intense than just affection at your whispered words. His breath hitches slightly, and he leans in closer to you - close enough that his lips nearly brush your ear as he responds.
"Then don't," he murmurs, voice low and rough with promise."I won't either."
A pause. Then:
"Tonight after the feast... I'm not holding back anymore."
"Me too, I hope you remember where my chamber is."
A wolfish smile slowly spreads across Jace's face, his eyes glinting with mischief as he straightens up again.
"Oh, I remember vividly," he says, his voice barely above a growl now - the one you knew all too well. "You think I haven't spent hours laying awake imagining what I'll do when I finally have you in there again? You have no idea." He leans in just enough to almost touch your earlobe with his lips.
"Tonight."
You peck his lips quickly and Jace's lips tingle from the fleeting kiss, and he instinctively chases after them when you pull away - but stops himself just in time. The hall is too crowded, his brother-in-law too watchful.
He exhales sharply through his nose before taking another long drink of wine to cool off.
"Tease," he mutters under his breath with a smirk. "You're going to be the death of me."
"I know" You wink at him, and go towards the crowd to dance sipping your wine.
Jace watches you move into the crush of people, his gaze following you unabashedly. His eyes trail over the curves of your form, lingering on your hips and thighs as you dance. He bites his lip unconsciously, his thoughts drifting to later that night.
Her brother Cregan appears beside him suddenly, a goblet of his own in hand.
"You're not being very subtle," he observes dryly.
Jace keeps his gaze locked on you as the musicians strike up a lively northern tune. The crowd parts slightly, and you're swept into a dance with one of the younger lords - some jovial Stark cousin who clearly knows how to move.
Cregan takes another sip from his goblet before speaking again.
"You've been staring at my sister all night." It's not an accusation. Just an observation.
Jace finally tears his eyes away from you when Cregan speaks, turning to face him fully. He keeps his expression neutral - diplomatic.
"She's my betrothed," he says simply, as if that explains everything. "I'm allowed to look at her."
A beat passes before he adds:
"And I plan on marrying her after this war. You know that."
"Of course you are," Cregan says, his tone flat but not hostile. He studies Jace for a long moment - assessing him like a general evaluating an ally.
Then, surprisingly: "You seem to truly care for her." It's not quite approval yet... but it's something close.
Jace nods solemnly, his usual arrogance momentarily tempered by the seriousness of Cregan's words.
"I do," he says firmly. No jesting, no smirk - just raw honesty. "More than anything."
He doesn't elaborate further. He doesn't need to. The intensity in his eyes is enough - a prince who's fought through fire and blood for this woman now standing before them both.
Cregan's expression softens just a fraction, and he gives a small nod - a sign of begrudging respect.
"I can see that," he grunts.
He glances back over to you and the young Stark lord dancing. You're laughing at something he's said, a bright smile lighting up your face.
Cregan studies you both for a long moment before speaking again.
"You should know that..." he starts, his voice low and cautious.
Jace's gaze snaps to Cregan, his expression suddenly serious. He can read the hesitation in the Warden's voice - this is important.
He nods once, a silent cue for Cregan to go on.
Cregan exhales slowly, steeling himself. He keeps his eyes on you as he continues in an even lower voice.
"The Northmen are fiercely protective of their own. They won't readily accept a Prince from the South as their future King. And they won't just stand back and watch you marry my sister either."
Jace absorbs this information, his jaw tightening slightly. He hadn't considered the political weight of it - not just marrying you, but doing so as a foreign prince in a land that distrusted southerners.
"Then what do I need to do?" he asks bluntly. No pride here - just strategy. "How do I win them over? What will make them accept me?"
He's fully focused on Cregan now, ready to listen like a soldier taking orders from his commander.
Cregan leans in slightly, his voice dropping to a gravelly murmur.
"First - you don't act like the Prince of Dragonstone here. You act like one of us."
He gestures vaguely toward the hall where Northerners drink and dance.
"No showing off. No ordering people around. They respect strength, but not arrogance." A pause as he studies Jace's face for reaction.
Jace bristles slightly at that, but he knows there's truth to Cregan's words. There's a lot of the spoiled prince in him - a habit from a life of privilege. He clenches his jaw, swallowing his pride. "I will do my best... for her."
"That's the right answer" Cregan raises his goblet slightly, a silent toast forming between the two men. It's not friendship yet - far from it - but it's something new: mutual understanding.
Jace lifts his own drink in return, clinking their cups together lightly before taking a long swallow of wine. The tension that had been coiled in his shoulders eases just slightly.
The feast continues around them, loud and vibrant as ever.
Jace's face lights up when he catches your smile across the hall. His whole demeanor shifts - shoulders relaxing, eyes softening in a way that's only ever reserved for you.
He raises his goblet slightly in return, mirroring your silent gesture with his own small toast before taking another sip of wine.
The Northern lord you're dancing with says something to make you laugh again. Jace watches the sound ripple through the crowd - warm and bright as candlelight on snow.
He can't help but be envious. He'd give anything to be the one making you laugh right now - to be the one holding your hand, spinning you around to the music, feeling your body close to his. But he can't. Not yet. Not with Cregan watching like a hawk. Even now, he feels eyes on him from across the hall. So he contents himself with just watching you - a silent guardian from afar. He knows he will have you all for himself in the night.
Aerion has the softest most sweet dragon
He’s furious that his egg didn’t hatch in the cradle, he then spends years trying to claim a dragon. All ignoring him or going to attack the annoying boy who keeps trying to claim them. All until snowdrop, who was named by a Targaryen princess who thought she looked like the snow. With her pretty pink harness that was decorated with bows, the dragon never having seen a fight let alone fought in one.
He was trying (one again) to claim Caraxes, the now 20 year old convinced they were a perfect match the dragon just didn’t see it yet. When snowdrop tells Caraxes off when he goes to burn the boy. Her thinking he’s adorable and nudging at him wanting cuddles. Thinking this little angry thing is so cute!
Aerion just ignores the girly dragon and sulks off, planing when he can attempt to claim Caraxes again when snowdrop follows him.
He tries everything to get the annoying dragon to leave him alone but she’s so persistent! She constantly comes up to him wanting his attention!
It takes moons of him trying to avoid her and claim literally any other dragon before he finally accepts that she’s his dragon…
His first order of business is trying to change her harness. He won’t be seen flying on a dragon who has pink and purple bows!
She wins, the pretty girl hissing at anyone who tries to take it off her. When Aerion eventually succeeds she just flops on the floor and refuses to move until it’s put back on.
He’s never met a more stubborn dragon in his life! His father says it’s fitting and just grins when Aerion is complaining about his dragon wearing bows.
He gets even more pouty when Daella claims Caraxes, thinking it must be some sort of mistake. How has his most girly and feminine sister claimed the war dragon???
It must a cosmic joke, he feeling he’s going crazy when he sees the mighty and viscous war dragon has ribbons added to his harness.
And if matters couldn’t get any worse he’s been betrothed to a Tully! His life truly can’t get any worse!
Since my stewpid ass accidentally posted it and then panic-deleted it instead of just saving it as a draft… 👩🏻🦯😭
It does get a little spicy toward the end 😏 And fair warning, my lingerie descriptions are absolute garbage, so I included some links to help with the visuals in case my rambling doesn’t make any sense 🥹💀
Once more, enjoy?? 😭
Jace had been in a good mood since breakfast.
You could tell because he kept humming under his breath in the car, one hand on the wheel and the other resting on your thigh, thumb moving in slow absent circles over the seam of your jeans. He'd asked, somewhere between the second and third traffic light, if you wanted to go anywhere in particular. You'd said yes. He'd said okay and that’s how you found yourself at the mall.
