i really like in speculative fiction when there’s intelligent animals in the setting, but i specifically like it when it’s so normal that it’s not even worth mentioning until we meet them. you get into the garage and your vehicle is being worked on by a pine marten wearing goggles. if you act shocked by this everyone will be very confused because why wouldn’t they be a pine marten
fantasy protagonist: ok my alternator is fucking shot. i'll never make the ninjaball run by this weekend at this rate and i need that prize money to save the dojo 😭

One unexpected thing about being on T is the way that cis men are also jealous of you
Trans men being jealous? Especially those who aren't on T yet? Yeah fair, expected that one
I did not expect cis men to start being like "how are you 4 months on T and already have a deeper voice and more facial hair than me" lmao
But also it really just goes to show you that testosterone affects everyone differently and that 100% includes cis men as well. Chances are that if you're dysphoric about your voice, height, etc. there is also a cis man out there rn insecure about the exact same things
Make your own 💀
Cisgender men are extremely jealous of the way I travel through Boston
Great post everyone, hit the showers

Listen man yeah i get it it'd be cool to pilot a mech robot that jerks u off while u engage in dog-based narrative motifs but you chuuni motherfuckers are Really fumbling the bag by not hedging your bets on learning to be repairbay techs. have fun risking ur life and getting ur sense of self electrochemically decimated while u commit Gooner Warcrimes i'll be chilling in climate control 15 klicks beneath the main barrier of the geofront sippin state-subsidized chicory synth-caf while "supervising the print fabs" (read: scrolling holofeed and getting hit on by the overbearing 40something IT techs)

would it be lame if i ebegged because i have worked exactly one day in the last 5-6 weeks because of an injury at work that workers comp won't pay me for because the doc they sent me to says i'm not hurt (but the pt clinic i'm going to says i am)
https://paypal.me/skeleboners spread some cheese on this broke cracker
So to be specific, I hurt myself at work at the end of July. Workers comp paid me one, but the doc then said that there was nothing medically wrong with me (but he did put me on work restrictions, schedule pt, inject something into my knee that hurt like an absolute fucking bitch), so workers comp cut me off there. Management offered me a light duty job that I wasn't super comfortable with because it would still involve a fair amount of time on my feet and strain on my knees, but I don't really have the option of not taking it. I have since worked one shift and left the building in a lot of pain. Doc has thus far been resistant to changing those restrictions, effectively telling me to suck it up and that the pain was probably normal. I have scheurmann's kyphosis and arthritis in my spine, I'm used to being in pain- this is above and beyond my normal level of pain. I'm getting extremely few hours at work due to having to schedule around physical therapy, doctor's visits, and only being able to do one job in the place. So I'm out a month's worth of pay and i'm looking at very little pay for the foreseeable future.
also i'll go into a lil more specifics about the medical shit here in case anyone has any input: initial injury was a very sharp, sudden, and high intensity pain at the top of my right kneecap, which started when i pushed off the ground to pivot on my left foot. ER gave me something which made it hurt significantly less, but I was on crutches or a cane for the next three weeks or so. For a bit there, I was able to walk mostly normally as long as I took frequent breaks. After going in to work (and also maybe doing a specific exercise at PT that they have since dropped), the pain comes back much earlier, to the point that I'm probably going to need my cane to walk for longer than like ten minutes in a spell. I also have to keep my knee as straight as I can while sitting to avoid pain. I have my MRI and went over it myself. There's pretty significant edema in the kneecap, as well as something that I interpreted to be edema in the quadriceps tendon, but the radiologist didn't note it as such and I guess I could have been mistaking some muscle there for edema, it was hard to find reference images of healthy quadriceps tendons to compare against.
This is really fucking frustrating because this will be the third time I've gotten told to fuck off for what I consider to be major medical stuff, now. I sought treatment for my spine and was told I was too old (though reading some papers it looks like surgery is actually better indicated as the patient gets older???), and i've also got pectus excavatum impacting my heart and one of my lungs that, likewise, i was told I was too old to correct. The spine thing I actually basically had to dx myself (though scheurmann's is pretty easy to diagnose, it's a structural problem in the vertebrae), and then have the orthopedist I was going through affirm that dx. Like man I'm sure there are plenty of great doctors but. Good God I'm tired of this shit.
