🔞Asynchrosis, Part 9
"Prep her for initialization." A voice came to me from my tired, anesthetic induced state, it sounded familiar, but also distant and strange,
"You're sure about this Colonel? This is the last point at which we can abort interment, if something goes wrong the medical team, they might-" "We're out of time for doubts, just get her loaded up." The familiar voice again, it was Colonel Raicjik, she must have been looking after me in some way. That's odd, the medical ward isn't often visited by top brass.
"Yes ma'am." It took a moment for the other voice to respond, I didn't quite recognize him, but he sounded hesitant. As I pondered the iniquity of my situation I was abruptly interrupted by a hand gripping the breathing mask off of my face, and a small slap on the cheek. When I opened my eyes I was faced with Fae, her eyes glinting down at me. She was wearing what she wore back in our working days, her jumpsuit tied around her waist by the arms and a black body-tight tank top with a latex-like texture.
"Wake up honey-bunches, the cocktail hit your system pretty hard after withdrawals, but you're stabilized,"
"What cocktail?" I said with a incredulous expression written on my face, my eyes so focused on Fae that I couldn't even conceptualize the world around me,
"Stimulants dove, you're going back to service," She said with a quiet intonation, her eyes softly peering at mine,
"I'm, going back?" She chuckled at my response, then stepped out of the way of my vision, I felt a sudden jolt in my systems as my heart rammed. I could barely believe my eyes how beautiful she was. Her arms were held at her side with her pistols clasped on her hips, my eyes followed her arms up to her sleek shoulder spikes, both adorned with long white stripes, in the purple base coat, then up to her face, the sensor array glowing that brilliant pink it used to, so long ago. I sat up, the cot buckling slightly under the speed, and finally I looked down at myself, my plugsuit hugged me, clenching around every part of my body except the top of my head and my finger tips. "I'm, back?" I said with a smile brimming on my lips as I turned to stare at Fae who giggled at my expression and nodded. A loud click sounded over the intercom of the hangar and a voice erupted force,
"You're being deployed to Lagras, a smuggler world on the exterior of Galligos space, it's become infested with dissidents as a result of the incompetent control of a oil mogul who briefly controlled the territory. You're being deployed to destroy hostile Mecha presences, devastate conventional armor, and prepare a major finance district for capture by conventional forces." It was the Colonel, she sounded more serious than I remembered her. "You will be endangered by seemingly superior force, with limited recon as a result of atmospheric smog coverage making sensor pierce difficult." I caught a glimpse of her outline through the tinted glass to the hangar control room, "You will embark now."
I stood up, lightly holding onto Faes arm for support as she loaded me onto the small hover platform which would deliver me to the embarkment point,
"We'll have you interred in no time," Fae said with a smile, her smiles were always so warming, but I couldn't feel any of it, not now. The stimulants kicked in as my heart started pumping, and all I could do was stare at her, The Nagarrond, the chest plate agape, separated from the hull with enough room for me to walk in. Fae held my arm and helped me across the boundary, then, I was officially standing on her, my hands ran over the armor plate and the shaped sides of the walls as I wandered deeper in, finding my fingers clasping onto familiar guard rails, my eyes running over stickers and little notes I and Fae had placed here, and finally on the core of the heart, the series of sensory pads lining the interior walls, and the indent in the one in the center back where I was to stand. Fae held me gently, letting me stare and glance around while setting me down in a chair on the side of the Heart and finding all the appropriate plugs for all the appropriate ports in my body.
"Fae, I- I missed her so much," She looked over at me, her expression was worried briefly but she smiled,
"I know you did, and I'm sure she missed you too," Fae walked over with a bundle of cords which she rapidly emplaced in the side of my skull, each one activating some other long lost system,
"You really think so?" I muttered, god I was pathetic. She knew I was, I just, couldn't control myself. I cared too much for her opinion.
"Of course I do," She grabbed my arm slowly helping me up and walking me over to the indent, a series of wires and prongs slowly pushing themselves out through the sensory harness' rubbery embrace before a soft hiss sounded as the harness repressurized around them. Fae slowly set me down as such that each plug found it's way into each appropriate port, my eyes twitching as I let out a brief quiet moan, the machine gripping me softly. Fae had this crooked look on her face as she leaned into me, "I'll see you..." I felt her hand slowly slip down between my legs and rub me slightly, causing me to moan again, "on the other side~" she kissed me, slipping her tongue into my mouth stifling the sound of my excitement, before pulling away, wiping my saliva off her cheeks and walking out to the entrance. The doors of the machine closing behind her.
For a brief moment all was black, my eyes craved sensation, and so, I thought it into life, my connection to the machine initialized and for a few brief moments all I could see was color, it flaw past me in bright pink and white and yellow stripes, before settling into a consistent image, the harness started to clasp itself closed, the other parts moving as the back part which held me suspended itself toward the center of the heart, I felt each compression surface closing tightly around me, the rubbery sensation grasping me as the sensory hood was applied over my head by the interior hydraulic arm. Despite my whole body being covered I could see, not the interior but the outside, through her- My. My eyes. I felt the interior pressurization system begin and then the manipulators wrap themselves around me, gripping onto my more sensitive parts, but far more prescient was the feeling of the siphoning gel rapidly exiting the suit through a pair of ports in the neck, before the vacuum seal was complete. I was interred fully then. Clasped onto by my own interiors. It took a few moments but soon my ability to feel my actual bodies sensations slipped away,
"Again Colonel it's such an alarming rate for synch to be achieved, this seems dangerous-"
"We've already done it, now can it. We'll see if this 'condition' of hers is even worth breeding out. Maybe it'll make her more, beneficial to us."
"Interred and ready to go Colonel," I spoke with an authority I hadn't had for months, standing there looking at the observation window in the hangar, finally reunited with my true body, was exhilarating. It filled me courage. "Point me where I need to go and I'll egress."
"Attagirl 80.A, Lagras, Juka City, Financial District. Go knock on their door for me, won'tcha?" The Colonel had an almost hopeful intonation, I wasn't just a pathetic waste of medical resources anymore, it was time to be an asset again.
"Yes Ma'am!"
