I’m so proud and happy to announce that Mini Philosophy is going to become a book! If you would like to see what I’ve been up to, the link is here:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mini-Philosophy-Small-Book-Ideas/dp/1472282175/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=mini+philosophy&qid=1619857726&sr=8-1&x=0&y=0# I’ve always believed that everyone has philosophical questions, and anyone can be a philosopher, but that getting into it can be daunting. I’ve lost count of the books I’ve read that seem to love being incomprehensible. I’m sure you know the type. They’re the ones that throw in a bit of Ancient Greek every other sentence or where the prose looks more like an engineering schematic. But it doesn’t have to be that way, and that was why I set up this page. And I’m over the moon it’s going to be a book. The plan is exactly the same, in that I’ll introduce and explore big ideas as easily as I can. There’ll be my usual bad jokes and everyday examples, and, if all goes to plan, I hope it’ll make you want to explore and read about these ideas further. I’ll post over the coming weeks the contents and a few samples, but, in short, the book is made up of old favourites like Camus, Aristotle, Nietzsche, and Freud as well as new and original entries on Spinoza, Sun Tzu, Orwell, Schopenhauer and many more. All the entries will be expanded, improved, and given just a little more room to breathe. We’ll have the space to explore some incredible thinkers and their ideas. I also can’t wait to share some of those interesting bits that had to hit the cutting room floor. So, if a Mini Philosophy book sounds like your cup of tea, there’s a link at the top to pre-order. I’m really proud of what’s in this book, and I’m so excited to share it with you. The community that’s built up around this page is what makes this so fun. There are so many polite, generous, curious, and hugely intelligent people, and I’m grateful beyond words for you all, and all your support.
