being in high school is so silly like I have no idea what calculus is but I need to be an expert in a career path I chose at 13 and must master it 1000x different ways or else I won't get into college for that same career path

Every adult: well just act like you picked a different one and work towards that. If you still want to be an artist you can do that in college.

Me: okay but I’ll need all this stuff for art college right?

Every adult: no, not even a little. But you have to have good grades in it just to apply.

So happy SNL is in the off-season. We won’t have to deal with the cold open of Colin Jost as Charlie Kirk slowly playing a piano rendition of Tub Thumpin’ by Chumbawumba or whatever but every ten seconds he looks directly into the camera like something’s about to happen. Suddenly, an assistant runs in and tells him he’s going to be late for his flight to Utah and Charlie says “oh jinkies that’s beta cuck behavior!” And runs offstage and the assistant yells LIVE FROM NEW YORK ITS SATURDAY NIGHT

Still not over the time I saw someone reading Gideon the ninth and said (while they were reading the first section of Gideon trying to escape the Ninth) that the story seemed tailor made to transfer to a modern setting because it reminded them so much of someone trying to leave their small town.

And I don't mean this in a bad way but I literally haven't stopped thinking about that. Ah, yes. Gideon Nav, orphan in a dying small town trying desperately to join the Army so she can make something of her life and escape her highschool valedictorian nemesis. All good so far. And then she gets sent to a death game to appoint the new Supreme Court Justices. And dies. And then finds out her dad is George Washington and her mom did 9/11.
