“Well, it’s not like you’re not good at that.” Adrian muttered munching on a fry, eyebrows raised as Ji Ho visibly recovered from his display of temper.
“Or you can fucking stay. You know, deal with it. Like an adult.”
Fair enough, he really was great at disappearing on people.
Great, but not perfect, because if he had truly mastered the art of leaving everyone behind, then how would anyone be able to catch up to him? Even clever Adrian with his multiple faces, should not be able to capture more than a corner of his sleeve for a second or two. And Yuna, dear sweet duckling with future sight, would not be able to track and follow him.
In the end Jiho was swayed by tears. People’s need or expectation. His own feeble sense of justice and this strange little voice in the back of his head saying he could be more…and that he should try to reach higher. Perhaps it was the arrogance that he thought he had mostly left behind.
Or maybe he had simply gotten weaker in terms of managing his emotions? Had he allowed this organization called Rebellion form a chain and wrap around him despite having vowed to never let anything or anyone control him again?
“Fine, I’ll stay.” He mumbled. “Let’s deal with it like adults.” But not in the healthy way.
Jiho stole the plate of whatever it was that Adrian was scarfing down and placed it aside. “Want to fuck on this table instead of talking at it? I am bored.”
Was the world ending? Adrian narrowed his eyes suspiciously as he watched the myriad of emotions to flit across his ex's face as if he really was listening to what Adrian had had to say.
I'll stay... Adrian's narrowed eyes widened at that. Ji Ho had muttered it, but they were seated close enough for the younger male to hear. Was the world ending?
It probably was, because the next minute Adrian's plate of truffle fries had been swiped away and he was left to stare at the prostrate form of the ex-heir.
"W-what?" The fry he was chewing on turned to gum in his mouth and managed to lodge itself in his windpipe making him cough. His cheeks and ears seemed to warm as he avoided Ji Ho's eyes, aiming to instead to reach for his food again. "A--as if." He scoffed in a false sense of bravado, trying not to pay attention to how high his voice went, rapidly clearing his throat to try to dislodge the fry.
"You need healthier outlets, Ji" It was Adrian's turn to mumble, noting that the plate of fries were now under a pant leg and the shapeshifter's eyes wildly looked around the table for something else to fixate on, resting on a plate of breadsticks. "Like a hobby, or some shit like that."
Not that he was to talk. The past few months had been him fixated on catching Ji Ho down. Now that he was here, served to him (as it were) on a silver platter, Adrian found himself quite unable to actually figure out what to do with him.
