Ahyoung’s never really tried anything for her hair, her whole life she’s just let it grow in its natural colour, getting a haircut here and there so it wouldn’t grow too long and that’s it. With how much she travelled, anything that needed daily styling or cutting was too much of a hassle, especially since the girl rather learned other spells. Now where she didn’t travel anymore, though, the girl was quite curious to see something else on herself.

“I’m prepared for that,” Ahyoung answered and nodded, though honestly not entirely sure about that. She knew it would burn or even just itch, if she was lucky (though she expected the worst), but the girl couldn’t help worrying about how it would actually feel. Hopefully she’d be able to handle it, so her hair would actually end up blonde and not only half a shade lighter than now.

“Hmm…” she hesitated for a moment, nothing came to mind instantly, but she thought about it again anyway… always better to be prepared, after all. “How long do you think it will take? I know it will take long, but are we speaking 3 hours or 6?” she asked eventually, realising that she never thought to look it up before.

In hindsight, maybe it would’ve been better to start with a darker brown or just a shorter hair cut, something not quite so extreme. But Ahyoung had thought about this for a while and who knew if she’d change her hair again anytime soon? No, she wanted this and she wouldn’t chicken out 2 seconds before starting either!

“Aside from that, I’m ready!” she added determinedly, nodding once.

eloise can’t help but smile softly — just a little bit — with how adorable the ahyoung is, even when she still seems little uncertain about this, but also very determined to see this through. it might not seem like it, but blonde is actually a very safe color, after all, if the other doesn’t like how she looks with such light hair, it’s much easier to simply dye it back to its original color or something alike to that, even something milder than hair dye like a hair toner could do the job just well enough without really needing to damage the hair more than the bleach already does. “alright, but just letting you know that if it’s too much we can stop completely or take a break at anytime.” after all this is supposed to be fun and not a session of torture. 

“something more like 3 hours i think.” eloise replies after thinking a little about it. “even less depending on how fast the bleach works in your hair.” after all, she has made her own research so to not only rely in her experience of so long ago, so she knows that there are hairs that take a little longer for the bleach to work than others, to get in that tone that they want. “we’re not doing anything but letting it blonde so i don’t see why it’d take six hours or more.” even if eloise also proposed for them to put some nice products on ahyoung’s hair afterwards just to try to decrease the damage on her hair as much as they can. 

eloise has to hold back the soft giggle that she feels building on her throat with the other’s so determined reply. but not because she thinks this is funny or in a mocking way, but again it’s just ahyoung being so cute that eloise can’t help but compare her to a puppy, trying to be brave and determined even if they aren’t completely sure of something, trying to shrug it off because they clearly have a goal in mind. 

“alright, then i’ll start.” the grad student announces, takes the little bowl with the product before starting to pass it carefully on each lock of ahyoung’s hair to be sure that it’d be a perfect blonde. “also please do let me know if the smell is too strong, i’ll try to fix that too.”

the bed bounced as she falls on top of it, hair a flying all over the place, eyes trained towards the spotless ceiling as she thinks, worries, and then thinks some more. there was absolutely no reason for her to be as nervous as she is being. after all, they have already met a handful of times outside of the hospital wing and nothing was ever out of the ordinary. in fact, all of those moments were great. still, selene cannot help but feel restless. it seems that there is something important about tonight that for the life of her, she cannot place her finger on.

which was probably why she felt the need to ask for help. while she was not completely unexperienced, it has arguably been awhile since she had done this. dating was out of her comfort zone; it was beyond the realm of things she knew with absolute certainty that she would excel at. treating this like any other day and dressing up as she normally would does not feel apt. selene would not want to disappoint like that. as someone who carries within her this great need for perfection, there was no other choice but to put in the effort.

once her phone rang with a message, she was quick on her feet. immediately, she’s racing down the suseong common room, then outside the door. as she steps out of the staircase into the mermaid fountain, her entire being brightens as she catches sight of the figure waiting for her. “eloise!” she greets the older female, crossing the small distance to envelope her in a warm hug. “how are you? it’s been awhile.” squeezing once, she lets go—all the while a smile remains on her lips. “let’s go inside.” leading the way, she whispers the password to the mermaid and just like that, she was walking up the way to her room again. “thank you for agreeing to help me. i really don’t know what i would do without you.”

eloise would never consider herself exactly a cupid, never really going out of her way to match people with others, doesn’t feel like it’s her place to do so, more willing to believe that everyone will meet their special in due time, that they don’t necessarily need her meddling or anyone else’s. actually she has had to stop some students from doing something as stupid as making a love potion just so they could get the attention of their love interest, because that was just a formula for trouble and relationships that were formed because of that never ended well. but it doesn’t mean that she’s unwillingly to help when someone asks for her help. it feels like a complete different story then, of course as long as they’re not asking her to make a love potion for them, because she’ll always say no to that. 

and with selene, eloise is a little more willing than she’d be with someone else, because her history with the suseong girl goes all the way back to beauxbatons, her being one of the friends of eloise’ younger sister and one who surprisingly doesn’t hate eloise even when the grad student blames herself for the demise of her younger sister. that’s why eloise promised herself she’d treat selene like the younger sister that she loves. it’s futile and useless, but it’s a way to pacify her, to make up for not being the older sister that her little sister needed, so now she won’t fail again. especially not when selene is this sweet, this gentle with eloise and everyone around her. 

sometimes, in small moments like this, small and easy moments that selene is so ready to pull her into a hug, into offering eloise smiles and being this friendly, this accepting, eloise feels the urge to cry, gets so emotional it almost breaks her usual calm expression. “hello to you too.” she chuckles softly a beat late, having to hold back the sudden and unwelcomed wave of tears and recomposure herself, then returning the hug before letting the other guide her back to her room. “i’ve been good, a little busy with some assignments.” she admits, her professor decided to dump on her a little extra work, making her have a little less free time to see the other. “how about you? besides, of course, being excited about this date.” and eloise can’t help but tease the other a bit, just like an older sister would do with a younger sibling.  

“don’t need to thank me, of course i would help.” the grad student is fast in dismissing the other’s gratitude, after all this was nothing really, especially when it’ll be fun for both of them. “and i’m sure you’d do great either way. you’re so very lovely.” which is true, eloise can’t think of any reason or way that selene could crash completely this date even without eloise’s advice from her own experiences with dates, and if it does, it’s because of the boy and not selene — and then eloise might need to have a little chat with him. 

“but do tell me about what are the plans.” eloise asks clearly curious, then clears her throat like of course she’s asking so she can help, not because she wants to know about this date and is curious about what this boy had planned for them. “we could start from there.”

    the mixed signals were definitely not fair , she knows. but she also knows that all logic flies out the window when the older geum woman stood in front of her — and mix that with the amount of alcohol she’s had tonight? inhibitions chipped away and her mind couldn’t think of another person to be with right now. what’s that they say about your first love? you never really forget them. 

     eloise was familiar , she was comfortable and taeyeon was far too used to pouring her heart out to her when she gave that simple look. you know that look she had , eyebrows slightly raised , eyes a little wide , a hand comfortingly stroking her arm while asking if she was okay in the sweetest voice. the first time taeyeon ever initially rejected that concern was their last encounter and she couldn’t have let that one day sit heavy on every other good memory they shared. so she had to start , somehow. the liquid courage making it a little easier. 

     “ we should. ” she excitedly responded while raising her own drink but then her words continued and it was her turn to fall speechless. she remembered. —– not that taeyeon forgot her birthday either and wasn’t insinuating the older was insensitive or anything !! just… “ you remembered.. ” it didn’t mean to slip out but hopefully she didn’t hear the whisper.  the senior spent way too long convincing herself she was insignificant to her ex , always had been which is why it was so easy to break it off.. maybe she had it wrong though. 

     moving in closer to clink their glasses and hoping their proximity would help drown out some of the music , taeyeon first took a big gulp of her drink before smiling back at her. “ the last time i enjoyed my birthday was when you were a part of it. ” it wasn’t meant to mean anything but it was the truth. the girl never celebrated her birthday until eloise showed up and that one year , made her realise what it was like to feel special on your birthday. “ here you are again and look at me already enjoying it more now. ” she teased with a giggle. 

“of course i did.” even if eloise feels like maybe she wasn’t supposed to hear those words, she still wanted to confirm them, to reassure taeyeon that of course she did, how could she not? just because she wasn’t in love with taeyeon anymore it didn’t mean that the other suddenly held no importance in eloise’s life — maybe that was a little bit of her fault too, with how tactless she was with the toseong senior when they broke up, how she admitted she was a little bored, because unfortunately her romantic feelings had died and she just couldn’t keep up with the pretense of being in love when she wasn’t, it was tiring and unfair with both of them —, after all, she still treasured taeyeon as her friend, as her ex-girlfriend, as someone who would always have a special place in her heart. 

“i told you before, didn’t i?” and maybe this is not fair either, eloise bringing up a small thing from when they were still dating, something that was some sort of inside joke, for the lack of a better word, between them, something small and precious and perhaps heavy if taeyeon wasn’t being so friendly. “i told you before that it should be a national holiday and i haven’t changed my mind.” but it feels nice, too nice, eloise caught up in this illusion, perhaps a small dream, some sort of alternative reality where her and taeyeon are actually in good terms, where they can joke around and tease each other about the relationship that they once had, where they can look back at their memories together and it won’t be an upsetting almost traumatic incident. 

and it doesn’t help really, how taeyeon makes her so so so soft when she admits thinks like that. it’s hard enough normally for eloise to remember to keep some sort of distance between them for taeyeon’s sake, to not end up hurting her like she did in her potions class, but it’s ridiculously harder when the other was being this cute. eloise also takes a sip of her drink after their small toast, can’t help her fond smile and soft eyes when she looks at the other. “i really tried my best, you know, to make sure you felt the happiness that you deserved, that you still deserve.” and her words are genuine, perhaps so genuine that it hurts a bit because a part of eloise knows taeyeon enough that the toseong senior needs more than one single birthday to make up for all the bad ones that she had, that it requires so much more before the other can see that she’s worth of as much happiness as their other person, that she’s adored by more people than she really knows.

eloise can’t help her own giggle at the other’s words. “maybe i’m a good luck charm then?” she says playfully and maybe because eloise is a little tipsy already or she’s just intoxicated on this incredibly nice interaction she’s having with taeyeon for once that she feels brave enough to say her next words. “maybe it means you should keep me around.”

♢ birthdays.

eloise has been planning this days for weeks, or more like she has been thinking about it for weeks anyway, since there was nothing much fancy about it. after all, she knew her girlfriend well enough and that taeyeon wouldn’t really enjoy something too out there. eloise wants to make sure it’s special yes, but the kind of special that the younger girl would genuinely enjoy and not just something she’d put up for eloise’s sake. especially when she has heard that taeyeon never really celebrated her birthdays, not when her parents clearly didn’t seem to care and consequently she never really cared about it that much either. 

which eloise thought was a crime, because taeyeon is a blessing to this world and the day she was born shouldn’t only be celebrated, but also a national holiday. and that’s why she made it her personal mission to make sure that taeyeon had precious memories of this day too, that she’d look back and think fondly of it, even if her and eloise don’t last forever, even if someday they end up not celebrating anymore birthday together. this one and the ones to come that eloise is lucky enough to still be by her side, she’s going to make them special as much as she can, will treasure her girlfriend and make sure she understands that her birthday is special too, actually is the most special of all the birthdays.

the first part of her plan was already a success, having sneaked in taeyeon’s dorm room a little before midnight so eloise could be the first one to greet her on her birthday, to whisper her congratulations against her skin and show her how grateful the geumseong girl was that taeyeon was born and that she chose to love her and allowed her to spend such an important day together. the evidences of last night still very much present on her neck and other parts of her body that are covered by one of taeyeon’s shirts that are aren’t quite long enough to completely cover eloise and her underwear, but it’s fine since it isn’t like anyone else is going to see them anyway.

“baby.” she calls the other gently, pressing soft kisses all over taeyeon’s face to wake her up. “the pancakes are getting cold.” eloise keeps saying, keeps kissing taeyeon awake. “come on, baby, i promise it’s worth it.”

— it’s scary and i’d rather watch you instead

    so , maybe this time , JUST THIS TIME ( not really ) , her intention wasn’t as pure. maybe she didn’t want her fellow grad student to pay attention to the movie at all !! shocking , i know. but maybe she wanted that attention all to herself. and in her head , she made a promise to watch the movie with eloise again , properly !!! she would even invite the woman over to her room and get snacks and turn off the lights and… they’d be in bed together… alone…. with no one around them.. —- okay so maybe eloise and jamie weren’t meant to watch horror movies together. 

    it’s not her fault though , have you seen eloise?? have you seen the way she reacts to the hwaseong prefect’s touch , have you seen the way she gets breathless from just a few kisses , have you seen the way she puts up with all of jamie’s dumb antics and clichéd ( yet , painfully true ) statements??? yeah , she was not to blame for this and not for the way eloise had a similar , if not worse , effect on the prefect. —- but the woman would’ve easily said that she’s spent way too long exploring eloise’s body when they were behind doors , giving her undivided attention to the other while her lips and fingers roamed freely to help her determine what clicked for the woman. what made her gasp and moan a little louder. what made her enjoy their time together the most. because that’s all jamie’s ever wanted , to make sure that the geumseong student was treated perfectly.

eloise can’t help the soft whimper that leaves her lips when jamie kisses her again, can’t really control the way her body shivers under her touch. and it’s easy, oh so easy to drawn out what is happening around them, to forget that they’re very much in public even with the dim lights and people too focused on either their movie or making out themselves, it’s easy to pretend they have a little more privacy than what they actually have. as always, it’s just too easy to focus only on the woman in front of her, breaking her apart piece by piece and putting her back together, and forget everything else, because why would anything matter when she has moon jamie giving her the undivided attention like that, when moon jamie knows way too much about how to make eloise melt.

the geumseong cheerleader can’t help the soft little sound that escapes her lips in anticipation when jamie’s hand is just so close to where she wants it the most, can’t really control how her thighs almost close on her hand, but not because she doesn’t want this, but because she wants, she wants so much, so much that she almost moves her hips searching for more, trying to get jamie’s hand there without another word, so much that eloise almost moves her hand with her own, press it against her because she just wants, she wants and wants and wants. it doesn’t help that jamie is using the petname against her own, is whispering such tempting thing on her ear.

“you.” the geumseong cheerleader replies and she knows it’s a very cliche answer, but then well, she thinks she can be a little cliche when her company is the queen of cliches herself. she uses her free hand to gently move jamie’s hair away of her neck so eloise can press her own kisses to the sensitive skin, to leave her own marks on the other’s skins because if eloise is someone who is walking around with a pretty necklace of hickeys so should jamie. “anything, everything.” she whispers, makes sure that jamie is the only one who can hear it. “just you.” and her last whisper is said in a little less lustful tone to something sweeter, fonder. 

(she has a really brief thought of elodie, if she’d be mad if eloise ruined the bunny suit, before she remembers that well, she had bought them and gave it to her, besides the grad student could always cast a spell to fix it) 

“want you to fuck me.” eloise admits then ever so softly, sucks a little harder on a spot on jamie’s neck. “want you to wreck me.”

hamin knew, as a man who was looking to be a veterinarian, he had to be versatile. aiming to be able to treat normal animals just as well as magical creatures, the young wizard shows he’s well versed in the care with normal animals as well, leaving eloise no need to worry. judging by her facial expression however, worry was the furthest on her mind.

when mika meows, the male’s lips widen into a smile, a chuckle falling from his lips. “seems like it.” unlike with magical creatures however he sadly didn’t have that last link that’d allow him to understand them as well. so he had to rely on eloise interpretation.

prompted to demonstrate what his flaws could be, he reluctantly lets the cat down gently so he had his arms free and could wield his wand properly. “if you say so, nuna… you’re already helping me. I don’t want to cause you any more trouble.” making his intentions clear once more, the geum sophomore reaches for his wand and rakes his brain for a charm that usually caused him quite the problems. Animating statues was something he’d always wanted to be capable of doing, if only so it could help him study the behavior and aggression of certain animals. However the execution of this spell still seemed lack luster and often resulted in the most random things to happen.

“Piertotum Locomotor,” he utters, moving his wrist way too swiftly. As a response the tiny figurine eloise had in her room instead turns into a locomotive, making hamin’s shoulders hunch up in apologize. “oh shit-”

eloise makes a dismissive gesture with one of her hands. “don’t be silly. i’m a ta for potions, i’m sure nothing you could do is worse than the wrong potions that some of her freshmen students make.” she still remembers the almost disaster that happened when one of them decided to try their luck making a felix felicius clearly without the experience and the full knowledge of making one and if eloise hasn’t found that out and quickly getting rid of it, then who knows what could have happened, especially to the person who decided to drink it. eloise genuinely doubts that hamin could surpass that.

even if he makes something explode, she’s sure that he’ll pick a small object anyway — since it’s something easier to cast a spell on and consequently less prone to mistakes — so the collateral damage is minimal anyway, nothing that she, as the responsible between the two, can’t handle. 

but she’s still a little surprised when instead of making the small figurine in her room come to life, it turns into a locomotive. even if she knew that spell wasn’t going to work considering that hamin was right, his hand movement was too quick for the spell to be successful. it almost makes her laugh, but in the end she doesn’t because eloise doesn’t want hamin to feel embarrassed (or more embarrassed than he could be feeling). instead she easily casts a spell to reserve the locomotive back to its original shape. she clears her throat, but before she could say anything, mika was already rubbing herself on the other’s leg, meowing softly like she was offering some sort of support, some “it’s ok” in her own way. 

that makes eloise giggle. just a bit. 

“you definitely need to work on your movements.” is her comment. “you barely finish saying the spell out loud and your hand has already stopped moving. now try just making the hand movement, slowly, even if you feel like it’s too slow. and then try casting it again.” eloise sits on her bed then, waiting patiently for hamin to do as she just told him, but she still smiles a little playful. “i know you can do this, mika and i have a lot of faith in you.”

At the compliment, Malia responded with a shy smile. It wasn’t as if she necessarily went out of her way to receive compliments from others, but it was definitely rewarding when her effort was recognized enough to earn them. In addition to the workload of her classes, as well as regular quidditch and cheer practices, the girl often squeezed in extra cheer practices in her spare time to ensure that she wouldn’t fall behind the others, despite it being her first time actually doing the activity. 

And her mind was quickly brought back to her first encounter with the other, Malia felt bittersweet. In reality, it hadn’t been very long since the first week of school, but to the younger, it felt like ages in the past. The freshman was nervous and unsure of whether or not she was ready to take the step towards a more active college life. She was convinced that joining the cheer team would be the perfect first step towards having a social presence (it happened often enough in movies for the girl to believe it was so). Eloise’s kindness and encouragement had essentially gotten Malia to where she was now. 

But considering their current conversation, the younger couldn’t help but feel that her actions had caused the other to worry. With slight hesitation, Malia gently placed her hand onto the other’s. “I’m sorry to have inconvenienced you…” She began, attempting a small, lighthearted laugh. “I just don’t want to disappoint anyone, so I know that I have to practice harder.” 

eloise blinks at malia when she talks about inconvenience. it isn’t the first time that malia says something like that, actually it just sounds something so malia to say that of course she’s inconveniencing other people when she really isn’t, when considering how sweet and selfless her personality is, the younger girl just could never inconvenience someone even when she’d be trying. and that’s what gets eloise by surprise, just the thought of malia being inconvenient is an absurd, something as ridiculous as a crup turning its back to its owner, something so unheard of. and for a moment eloise is a little annoyed, mad at miyoung or whoever made malia this insecure and even more that malia now thinks that she’s an inconvenience to anyone. 

“you’re not inconveniencing me. you could never inconvenience me or just anyone. malia, you’re such a darling.” she affirms without a single note of hesitation on her voice, only certainty and perhaps a little of finality, giving no room for argument. “it’s easier for elodie to inconvenience me than you and believe me, that’s something very hard to accomplish.” it probably doesn’t sound like it, considering how eloise knows how easily elodie inconvenience anyone that isn’t her and it possibly isn’t the best example, but that’s the best that she can offer, after all, she’s the first person that pops in her head, besides maybe malia herself, that could never be a bother to her even with her strong personality.

“did anyone say that you were a disappointment? that you were an inconvenience?” there comes the annoyance, anger again that someone could’ve said something so wrong and negative towards the ball of sunshine, the always hardworking and amazing girl that is sat in front of her, but eloise pushes it down because she isn’t mad at malia, so there’s no point in sounding mad around her, especially when she knows that the younger girl will take it as eloise being mad at her, and that’s just the farthest from the truth. 

“i’m always here for you, you know.” eloise gives malia a gentle, soft look. “for anything, yeah?”

eloise is all about people expressing themselves in whatever way they want, she’s all about people having confidence in themselves, from their abilities to their appearance. she’s all about indulging in whatever one wants even if it seems like a temporary whim, so that’s why when ahyoung comments even if vaguely that she wants to change her hair color, eloise doesn’t waste a second in encouraging her decision, even offering to do it herself if ahyoung was scared of doing it herself and didn’t trust a saloon quite yet. 

eloise herself just dyed her hair once when she was still in beauxbatons, not for very long because taking care of it was just too much hassle. it wasn’t any fancy color, just the usual blond, and actually she didn’t really like herself blonde either, even when her friends were clearly more excited about it than she was (she remembers elodie being especially.... expressive about how much she liked it). eloise doesn’t really miss it and definitely doesn’t see herself going through that — at least for now —, but it did give her some experience with how to dye one’s hair. she might not be an expert but she knows what she’s doing, even if just a little bit, besides she feels confident enough to be able to improvise if something that isn’t planned happens.

that’s why they’re in eloise’s room now and ahyoung has an old towel on her shoulders, one that there’s no problem if it ends up staining from the hair dye and eloise is holding up the products to bleach the other’s hair. “it’s going to burn a bit.” eloise warns so ahyoung won’t end up being surprised about anything. “but if it burns too much, just let me know and we’ll wash it off right away.” but eloise doesn’t move to start the process yet.

“is there anything else you’d like to know before we start?” after all, she wants to make the ahyoung as comfortable as possible throughout the whole process and in the end, eloise does want the other to be sure about her decision. for the geumseong grad student, changing her hair isn’t that big of a deal, but eloise does know that’s not true for everyone and the last thing that she wants is ahyoung regretting her decision because she took it too impulsively.

double trouble.

she’s not used to the praise. she’s not expecting it. not from anyone and especially not from someone who considers themselves close to elodie. haeun was pretty delusional for thinking levi liked her but she was rounding on the idea that anyone who liked elodie park was mental.

“oh, uh, thank you. you’re the first person to say it tonight who ….isn’t one of my friends.” it’s a little embarrassing to admit but it seems like her attempt at maturing wasn’t brought great reception like she anticipated. not with everyone, it seems. “i’ll keep that in mind for the rest of the night.”

she’ll try but she can’t promise she will.

it’s the way that the other’s frown deepens that makes haeun begin to worry. maybe eloise, like elodie, didn’t like any smart talk. maybe she’d call haeun out, make her feel stupid and call her names. maybe she’ll play mind games with haeun and make her doubt her perception of reality. she’s not sure what was coming but in haeun’s mind it couldn’t be anything good.

yet eloise agrees to drop it. haeun let out a deep breath. the relief that washed over her was visibly obvious. it was almost like the younger girl untensed and uncoiled. the relief only lasts for a moment. the hwaseong girl immediately stiffens at the mention of quality time together. it sounds like a trap. it’s definitely a red flag. if elodie hated her so much shouldn’t eloise hate her too? isn’t that how friends worked?

“oh, uhm, sure. sounds nice.” she accepts the invitation with trepidation. there was no telling that this wasn’t a set up. watch: the moment haeun believes she’s okay it turns how eloise was just luring her into elodie’s clutches. it makes her stomach twist uncomfortably. until there was any sign of it, she couldn’t outright decline. haeun had the sinking feeling that upsetting eloise would upgrade her from verbal beratings to slaps and worse. so she played nice.

for now.

she blinks at the elder though. the advice seemed really out of place. haeun couldn’t fathom eloise not being a little twisted like her close friend. she wasn’t feeling particularly trusting right now. that was a hard thing to achieve of kang haeun. only elodie park could spark this feeling of unrest. she had to hand it to her. it just felt like a set up. “why are you telling me this? wouldn’t elodie know i was lying?”

eloise smiles a little harder when haeun accepts her invitation, clearly excited about it. haeun has always been a sweetheart, like malia is a sweetheart and eloise really couldn’t help acting a little like an older sister to her when she has the chance. it’s a pity that they aren’t closer, she thinks — and then remembers that elodie would probably have something to say about it and she’d hate to have haeun suffering even more by the other girl’s hands when eloise isn’t around to protect her in a way for eloise just wanting to do what she wants, but she also thinks that there’s no reason for elodie to get this mad for a couple of shots and some dancing, right? she seemed pretty distracted with other things when she left eloise. they’re going to be fine. whatever, they’re going to enjoy this party together and that’s what matters. 

she takes haeun gently by the hand, guiding her back to the bar, trying her best to not simply skip to the counter but her bunny tail still bounces cutely while she walks. “what do you want to drink? are you ok with alcohol? it’s fine if you’re not! we’re supposed to enjoy the party and if alcohol isn’t your thing then you don’t need to do it.” she asks but is also quick to reassure haeun that she doesn’t really need to get out of her comfort zone if she doesn’t want to, to show that eloise knows that alcoholic shots aren’t exactly in everyone’s alley even if all those college and university movies try to tell them otherwise. 

eloise sighs softly when haeun questions the reasons why she’s doing this and somewhat the grad student understands that the other might be a little too suspicious of her. if elodie treats her as badly as it seems, then of course the hwaseong freshmen wouldn’t think anything but how eloise is probably also out there to get her, to torture her just like elodie seems to enjoy. “contrary to popular belief, i’m not that much of an airhead to not notice that elodie isn’t as nice to everyone as she is to me .” which might sound odd to anyone who hasn’t witnessed the two of them together, eloise remembers how nice elodie was in the haunted house, how she agreed so easily to it even though it was something that she didn’t seem very thrilled about. “especially with freshmen.” after all, elodie has a reputation going all the back to beauxbatons. “but it doesn’t mean i agree with it even if i can’t exactly stop her either. so this is the best that i can do: giving you a way out of it.”

“and i mean, it wouldn’t be a complete lie, because i’m looking for her. sort of.” more like eloise wouldn’t mind finding elodie again in the party even if she’s not actively looking for her, but haeun doesn’t need to know that. after all, the more haeun sounds like she’s telling the truth, the more elodie will believe her even if just for a moment long enough for haeun to make her escape. “besides, it’ll distract her enough that you disappear in the crowd again. i know this isn’t perfect, but this is all i can offer.”

        it really was so ironic that taeyeon couldn’t stop the scoff that escaped her lips. eloise was probably someone who knew her the most —– or so she thought because it felt like the older never even realised just how damaged she left her. OF COURSE the other would be okay , it was her choice to leave and now , why would she have a problem with them being friends again? — &. taeyeon was supposed to be okay with it , completely forget that bad parts , only remember the good and move on. 

       easier said than done because she didn’t feel okay at all , yes she didn’t have the same feelings she once used to so in a way , she had moved on but she couldn’t get over how their relationship now felt tainted , that her ex never even had any true feelings to begin with. it was a game in which she played a teeny tiny part. 

       but then that damn voice would reach her ears , the soft one filled so heavy with affection that once upon a time rid her of all her problems and she wanted to melt in it , just like she used to fall into her arms every time after her name was said like that. it was pathetic , this hold eloise had over her , it was a damn break up and people get through worse so why was she standing here holding her gaze with a bold facade that was fading as quickly as it came. 

      not again , she couldn’t go through the same heartbreak again so her gaze quickly shifted back down to her work table while trying to focus on the potion. —- how could she have missed this detail , the geum student was the TA , of course she’d be here and now that she was here , eloise wasn’t avoiding her like taeyeon was , no , she was standing close enough to be able to smell her perfume and it was suddenly building up to too much.

      the senior had simply ignored her first question , it probably wasn’t even genuine concern she thought so what was the point. reaching over to grab the right glass flask she need for her potion , taeyeon moved it over her cauldron to carefully pour some of its contents into it BUT THEN , a final question left the grad student’s lips and it was enough for her frustration to boil over which resulted in the glass to be gripped a little tighter until it broke into countless pieces right in her hand. “ —- damn it! ” she whisper yelled as students were turning their attention to the scene caused and all she could do was try to remove some of the shards pierced in before grabbing hold of a nearby rag and placing over it. “ it’s fine ! ” she looked up to tell the curious eyes on her. but was it? her anger was hardly ever reflected like this , especially after boxing club , taeyeon had learned to get a relatively good grip on her emotions… but then again , eloise always had a different effect on her. 

eloise is completely taken by surprised with taeyeon’s outburst, actually takes a step back for a second when when taeyeon bursts the glass and then her voice raising in volume. the grad student knows that she should at least send taeyeon to the hospital wing to get her hand taken a look at, it might not be something so serious, but you can never know with glass, especially when it’s broken because of a tight grip. who knows if taeyeon needs stitches. eloise knows that but she also isn’t quite sure how taeyeon would react if she tried to get closer again, if maybe it’ll just make things worse.

the ta sighs softly. first she needs to diverse the overly curious students’ attention somewhere else, because she knows that taeyeon has always hated being the center of this sort of attention so of course the other is probably uncomfortable right now and not because of her injured hand. maybe it’ll also decrease the chances of a second outburst if the toseong senior didn’t feel like she was a small animal being cornered. “if everyone has time to not pay attention to their cauldrons, then i’m assuming you are all done? should i start grading your potions now?” she raises her voice just enough to be heard, tone friendly even if there a warning under all the sweetness so it didn’t take two seconds longer for everyone to turn their attentions back to their businesses. 

now that the easiest part is done, eloise is a little unsure again, of course she can’t let taeyeon bleeding on her class like that. eloise wanted to study the injury, perhaps cast a simple healing spell if it wasn’t something too serious, save taeyeon the trip to the hospital wing, but then again she isn’t quite sure that’d be welcomed and the last thing that eloise wants is to taeyeon to be even more defensive, to hurt herself even more than she already is. even if they’re not in a relationship anymore, even if they’re not friends anymore, eloise still does care for her ex, taeyeon still worried her when she is anything but fine. 

“you should have that checked out.” eloise returns her attention to taeyeon, tone soft and gentle again. “i’m sending you to the hospital wing.” then a little pause,enough to show the uncertainty that she’s feeling. eloise would love to go with taeyeon, she’s the responsible for this class it just made sense, but then again she didn’t want to put taeyeon in an uncomfortable position when now it’s clear that perhaps eloise was the only one that wanted to perhaps try being friends again. “would you like someone to go with you?”

— it’s scary and i’d rather watch you instead

       if there was anything to know about moon jamie , it was that her words were nothing if not sincere. she meant every little compliment , every little promise that’d leave her lips and most of the times , her words always held the intention of doing some good and making someone smile. it was how she was with mostly everyone.. but eloise always managed to somehow bring out more of her. always hiding behind other people’s feelings , jamie hardly ever let anyone see her.. but then there was her fellow grad student who’d she find so easy to trust. hopefully because jamie was someone she could trust in return as well. given the times the woman had called the other pretty , or beautiful or breathtaking or ethereal and it didn’t lead to her usual cold response — it meant a great deal to her. unfortunately there weren’t better words to describe how she so sincerely meant this about eloise for who she was inside and out but wished her actions conveyed the message. 

         always so polite , of course she’d never actually admit how jamie’s constant commentary ( to cover up the fear , for sure ) or her possibly exaggerated reactions were not a bother… but she knew. though , it only made her affection for the other rise because the comforting arms around her along with the reassuring words really did melt her. SO , how could she not completely abandon the movie and give her company undivided attention instead. 

        “ i know i am but i promise to make it up. ” she spoke between gentle kisses. her hand now reaching over to find its place in the crook of her neck as she slowly pulled the woman closer. why was it that whenever these two were in close proximity , jamie’s lips acted on their own accord and made their way to her? out in public or not. HONESTLY THOUGH , she had no intentions but to watch a movie with her tonight… but the way she tilted her neck and gave the hwaseong student more room to work with… her intentions might’ve slipped.

       she was ready to stop , ready to pull away.. and then her name left the other’s lips , hushed while seemingly worked up.. and oh , the way it made her heart flutter.  she wanted to hear it again. “ something i don’t think i’ll ever get tired of doing. ” an honest reply before kisses trailed down her neck and she stopped just behind her collarbone , the little dip a particular favourite spot of hers and she might’ve spent enough time there to possibly leave a mark. whoops. breaking away but still sticking close , the woman stopped just a breath away from her ear to softly whisper. “ do you want me to stop? ”

a part of eloise really wants to argue that jamie could never bother her, even if they’re in the middle of a movie that eloise was actually enjoying, but jamie was too scared of it to enjoy it herself, even if all the tactics that the other has to try to deal with her fear were distracting. but they were a good distracting, the cute kind of distracting, the kind that entertained eloise much more than the movie ever could. how could eloise not give her attention when jamie was being this cute? and the geumseong girl actually prefers this, after all this whole experience is about watching a movie with jamie, and not simply watching the movie in itself. a part of her wants to argue that it’s ok, that she really doesn’t mind and remind the other that she could always just rewatch the movie back at her dorm room, cuddling with her cat and—

(she’s definitely not thinking about what her and jamie could be doing if they were in her dorm room, with proper privacy and a bed.)

but the kisses are too distracting and eloise just melts under the hwaseong girl’s attention. the geumseong grad student also wants to point out that what she’s doing isn’t exactly making eloise be able to focus on the movie either, but that would mean getting jamie to stop what she was doing and at this point eloise is just too far gone to want that. but the geumseong grad student still allows herself a soft, out of breath, chuckle when jamie pulls yet again another cliche line straight from a romantic movie based on a novel of nicholas sparks and it’s even more interesting because of course eloise can also hear the sincerity of it in jamie’s tone, how she means every word that she says no matter how cliche they are, how someone could easily argue that no one would actually say that to their partner and mean it in a serious way. 

she softly gasps when jamie gives some extra attention to her collarbone. “jamie.” she repeats the other’s name, but this time it’s very much clearer how eloise is affected, especially with the whimpering in her voice. “babe” how she can’t help the use of the petname when jamie is riling her up so easily, when she’s just so easy for jamie. 

eloise spares a single glance around, just to be sure that everyone is busy with the movie, distracted enough that they won’t pay attention to them and sure enough, everyone else seems entertained with the movie or with whoever they came with and that’s the only thing that she needs. “no.” she finally answers, now that she knows that no one is really looking at them, eloise lets her hand wander a bit high on the other’s leg, thanking the heavens and beyond that jamie decided to dress up as wonder woman and she has all this bare skin to enjoy. “please.” she squeezes jamie’s thigh gently, perhaps a little too close to her ass but she knows that jamie clearly doesn’t mind that.

       OF COURSE , of course eloise was beautiful , in fact beautiful was probably not enough a word to justify and back when the two first got together , jamie was enchanted , and soon enough it was not just because of her visuals but the kind of person she found out the other was. there were times when it felt like the cheerleader knew exactly what she needed or what she felt without even having to say it —- possibly because they were a little alike in the way they thought and the woman cherished their likeness and understanding.

       even the way she giggled and let be pulled closer , in the way she teased in that tone or even a simply look from her was enough for jamie to be hooked. do her teammates complain that she has a tendency to get distracted during times when the quidditch team and cheerleaders practice? they did , and she was guilty as charged. it was in the way she knew eloise had her eyes on her and was looking at her like that or even if she wasn’t but she looked to see the way she moved would have jamie distracted. she wouldn’t have it any other way , though. 

       a simple smirk had fallen across her lips at the question and all she could do was helplessly nod while holding the other closely in her embrace. “ i just missed you a whole lot. ” she whispered while resting her forehead against the others’. although , it was pretty much over the moment that eloise had her hand tangled in her hair and her ever so gentle touch that caused her eyes to flutter shut.

       as their lips finally connected , the keeper really couldn’t stop the smile that initially formed because it felt perfect in that moment , there was no rush , no unnecessary sound , no pressure… it truly felt like all that mattered was this moment and jamie was definitely lost in it. as things slowly progressed and no one seemed to want to break away , one of jamie’s hand that currently rested on her waist slowly moved across the front of her body and placed itself in the crook of her neck while gently stroking the woman’s cheek with her thumb. soon enough though , her grip tightened around eloise as she slowly turns them around so that her back is pressed against the wall —- not before her hand slid up further up to the back of her head to stop it from bumping against the wall. “ i’ve always really liked that about you. ” she pulled away and quietly spoke before lips moved down and attached themselves to her neck to place delicate kisses down and across her collarbone. “ well , i’ve always liked everything about you. ”

yet another thing that eloise can appreciate in her moments with jamie was how they could make things soft without needing to worry about the consequences of it, about misunderstandings or messy feelings. even if jamie’s words did fill eloise with a type of warmth, the easy admission that that the other has missed her enough to make the geumseong grad student a little softer. she definitely returns the sentiment with how busy they both ended up being these last few days, jamie especially with her practice for the start of the quidditch season and then eloise ended up getting swamped by her ta work due to professor she assists deciding that it’d be a great time to dump extra work on her. they didn’t have a lot of time to see each other, much less fool around like this.

eloise also gets extremely endeared by jamie because of the small gestures that she does. even if the geumseong grad student ends up a little distracted with how the other moves her hand across eloise’s body, makes her shiver and there’s this soft delighted sound that escapes her lips, she doesn’t miss how it rests on the back of her head, because of course jamie is gentle enough to worry about eloise bumping her head against the wall even if the whole movement was slow and eloise wouldn’t end up because of it either way. it makes eloise want to give jamie everything. 

“i thought you only liked my pretty face.” the cheerleader teases, but her breath still hitches when she feels soft lips on her collarbone so that possibly defeats the whole playfulness in her tone or maybe it’s how one of her hands also travel to jamie’s waist, pulling her closer and letting one of her legs fit between the other’s. eloise only says that because she knows at this point that this isn’t only about them being attracted to the other, not in the bad way at least. jamie is a friend, eloise can confidently say. even if they fool around most of the time when they end up sharing the same space — but who can blame her? look at jamie —, they’re still friends and eloise knows she can count on the other for more than some sneaky kisses in the locker room. but well, eloise does still have a pretty face and of course that was the reason they first hooked up anyway so it’s just a little joke. 

“and don’t tease me.” eloise can’t help but whine a little bit when jamie’s kisses keep being too light, too gentle in such a sensitive spot of hers, hands tightening a little bit on the hwaseong keeper’s hair, pulling her gently to another kiss far less innocent and slow than the first one they shared.

his heart is skipping beats again. the way that eloise is so forward with him, telling him that the tried and that it was only for him. he’s really wondering if his bad luck with all the years of tripping are finally turning the tides and this is all the good luck he never had before finally cashing in. through all the years of silently admiring eloise from afar and barely existing in her life as just another quidditch player, taejun has managed to talk to her and catch her attention in the span of less than half a year. if he had known that all it took was to just talk to her to get her attention he would’ve done it sooner.

a part of him feels guilty. he’s hoping he hasn’t killed the romance for eloise by asking for her permission with that statement… but it’s almost like a second chance. in case if she has even the slightest ounce of not wanting to kiss him. taejun has never had this many doubts and insecurity about anything before… but it balances out with the excitement he feels and keeps him grounded.

kiss me, please.

eloise sighs into the kiss as soon as her lips meet taejun’s, almost as if expressing a finally, her hand moving from his cheek to his hair, tangling into the soft locks. it’s usually very cute, how taejun is always trying to be respectful and mindful of her, almost like he’s courting her — and if eloise had to be honest, she wouldn’t that surprised if he actually was —, because taejun was just that sort of guy. she has heard stories here and there about how he was raised by his grandparents, people as sweet as taejun himself, and she wouldn’t be surprised either if that’s where he got all his kindness and gentle nature from. but then that also makes eloise to push him a little more, to try to see how long he can keep that sort of composure, in how many ways she can make composed, cute taejun finally stop trying to restrain himself so much.

she makes the softest whimpering sound that is quickly swallowed by taejun when he presses their hips together, lets him deepen the kiss and presses herself even closer to him, her free hand rests on his shoulder, fingers curling on his costume like that would stop him from pulling away . actually she’s even impressed with this development. as much as eloise definitely was asking for it, pushing and pulling the suseong senior to make him snap, she wasn’t fully expecting this, for him to pull her to his lap so soon, to press against her like that so quickly. not that she’s complaining, because well, the whole point was to get taejun there anyway, the thing is that she’s just surprised, is that she thought that she’d have to rile him up a little more, maybe give him her consent again so the other could be sure that he wasn’t making her uncomfortable. it’s a surprise, but it’s a nice surprise, the best surprise. 

a part of eloise feels like they should keep some sort of decency, considering they’re still very much in public and even if they’re in more secluded place for now and so far their only witnesses of their little “adventure” are the thestrals, she knows that might change soon. not that she minds her reputation or the fact she wouldn’t be surprised if queenbee decided to talk about their little adventure as one of the topics of their next gossip, but she doesn’t want to get taejun in trouble when she was the one teasing him all along, she does mind his reputation. however, it’s hard to focus on that, to keep that in mind when she can feel taejun’s warmth under her and pressed against her, when her hips move on their own accord, when he keeps stealing her breath away and swallowing all the soft needy sounds that escape her lips.

”i wanted to do this for weeks,” eloise admits when she pulls away to catch her breath, shifts on his lap to align their hips better, but soon enough she’s kissing taejun again and again and again. “weeks. you’re so mean for leaving me waiting like this.” she whines softly and a little playfully, because of course she has kissed taejun before, but there was always the excuse of a quidditch game, even if taejun didn’t win the match, eloise would use the excuse that it was a kiss for playing anyway, that it was a good luck kiss for his next match. there was always an excuse, but what they were doing now? there was no quidditch game to hide the fact that taejun wanted to kiss her, that she wanted to kiss him and nothing else really mattered.

hamin knew he should be focusing on his quest at hand but the moment a cat appeared in the picture, his sole attention was diverted and fully fixated on the animal. picking soft mika back up into his arms he wastes no moment to allow the cat to make herself comfortable. which he seems to be as well, judging by the casualty with which he handles the animal while raising his head to talk to the elder female again.

“yes! I’m just… struggling a little in general. I feel like my execution is lacking and I don’t understand why. I’m a great duelist, so it can’t be the execution of my spells… is it the finesse of the movement? After all dueling spells are rather swift and minimalistic to execute. perhaps I’m just too quick?”

The pondering continues as he juts his bottom lip out while looking back down at the kitten who was halfway to falling asleep with how gently the male was scratching a spot behind her ears. “what do you say, mika, hm?”

eloise watches the interaction of hamin and her cat with soft eyes, easily lets hamin take her to his arms especially when mika seems more than willing. she has always loved attention from whoever would give it to her, never really took any time to get used to strangers who were wanting to pet her or let her nap on their lap while eloise was hanging out with them or, in hamin’s case, while she gave some advice about a certain topic — and in this case, about charms in specific. after all, eloise has tried a lot of things throughout her university education and she’s in the charms club, one of the things she’s easily good at. 

mika meows softly when hamin talks to her before resuming her purring, like she can actually understand what they’re talking about. it makes eloise smile a little harder, almost cooing at her baby before turning her attention to hamin again. “i think she agrees.” she chuckles softly. 

only then she processes hamin’s words more seriously and they make sense. “that could be it.” dueling has never been something she was overly interested in. she tried it for a while, during her freshmen here since everyone of her semester seemed very interested in it, excited even, but soon enough eloise just found out that it wasn’t her cup of tea. not that she was particularly bad at it, just perhaps not as good as she could be since she just didn’t put a lot of effort in it anyway. “duelings are mostly about reflex, yes, about who can get the spell out first.” eloise has always found that dueling isn’t about finesse, about taking time to make sure your movement is right and complete, after all, there just isn’t time for it. maybe that’s why she didn’t like it in the end. because she liked to take her time instead of being rushed.

“could you show something? any charm. whatever you’re comfortable with or the one you have the most trouble with.” she offers. “so i can see and give a better opinion about.” 

then eloise smiles, friendly and reassuringly. “and don’t worry about breaking anything, i can easily just fix it later.”

“eloise, i was looking for you.” taejun confesses before he intertwines their fingers and leads her out from the crowd to a quieter section of the dungeon where they can have a bit of quiet and privacy.

now that he finally has her alone though and knows that she was searching for him too, every single piece of doubt he had from before up to that moment melts away. he can’t hide the wide smile on his face before he leans down and steals a quick kiss from her first.

“eloise there’s something i need to tell you.” taejun hurriedly springs into his speech. considering how long it took for him to find her - which he didn’t even do - he doesn’t want to waste another moment dilly-dallying about if she really does like him or not anymore. “i’m sorry i wish i had flowers or that we were somewhere more romantic- you deserve more than a confession in the dark in the dungeons but-”

taejun shakes himself out his funk and takes a deep breath. “i really like you eloise and i want us. i only want to be yours and i want you. i want you to be mine and only mine. just my special felix felicius.”

he can feel the panic beginning to rise inside but not out of doubt. out of worry that the romance eloise deserves to get, she isn’t getting all simply because he’s a klutz and can’t seem to ever get his head on straight when he’s around her. “i just- i just want to know if you’d like to be official with me?”

it’s a simple thing that they’ve done before but eloise’s heart still skips a beat when taejun so naturally intertwines their fingers, that combined with the admission that he was looking for her too distract her from where exactly they’re going, she’s barely paying attention to where taejun is pulling her, but she still feels that this is ok. she does trust the suseong senior to lead her to somewhere that is safe, somewhere that she wouldn’t refuse to go in the first place. it doesn’t matter if she’s paying attention or not, because she’d go as willingly either way.

eloise doesn’t like to assume things, even when she thinks it’s pretty obvious what taejun has to say to her the last couple of times that they’ve spent together, even when she has been more than straight forward about her interest in him, especially after the carriage ride, and how taejun didn’t, at least seem to not push her away — quite the opposite, always giving her the cutest of the reactions which only made eloise even more endeared with him. she still doesn’t like to assume because there’s the small chance that she’s mistaken, that she read the interactions between them wrong. but it’s still hard to control her heart, her expression when taejun says that he needs to tell her something. eloise thinks she might know what it is, she hopes it is what she thinks it might be. especially when he pulled her to such a private place. she doesn’t want to get her hopes too high, but at the same time how could she not? 

this time, the grad student listens to the other with her full attention, eyes becoming ridiculously soft and an awfully fond smile appears on her lips because of course taejun would worry about something like that, about bringing flowers and the location. of course he’d worry about being proper and doing this the “right away”, wouldn’t be surprised if he was beating himself up for the nice make out session they had in the carriage ride since he clearly skipped the step of confessing to her and asking her out before they’d go there. and it’s incredibly cute, endearing, how taejun can be so romantic, so precious about this, about eloise. it makes her want to give him the world, it makes her want to remind him again and again that she doesn’t need flowers from him or nice places, not when she knows taejun’s words are sincere, his feelings are sincere and that’s all she needs. 

“taejun...” she starts, ready to tell him all of that, but then the other just keeps speaking and in the end eloise lets him, after all he’s probably nervous even if he should know eloise’s answer for the question she knows it’s coming now. 

and there it is. the words that has her heart being a mess, her cheeks heating up and butterflies flying all around her stomach. his felix felicius. to be honest, eloise would never get tired of hearing that. of all the things that anyone has ever called her, that was the one that touched her the most, that made all fuzzy and warm inside, especially when taejun still doesn’t know how that is her favorite potion and she possibly would never be able to express how happy and fond that petname he got for her makes her feel, how much it makes her want him, to be his, for him to be hers. she wants—

 “yes.” eloise doesn’t hesitate a second, even sounds a little breathless. “yes, yes, yes.” then she wraps her arms around the other’s neck, pulls him closer to press her lips against his again and again and again. “a thousand times yes.” she replies against taejun’s lips right before pulling him for a deeper, firmer kiss.

haunted houses didn’t scare her. horror movies didn’t scare her. there was very little that actually scared elodie. sure, a good jumpscare or two, but that kind of thing got everyone so she didn’t really even count that as scary. 

but, still… she could never say no to eloise so she’s signed herself away for a tacky haunted house with ghosts and people who get a little too into halloween. oh well, at least she gets to watch eloise’s bunny tail bounce while the other pulls her along. 

she honestly just came to the party to dress up, a valid enough excuse to not wear pants and be a little slutty, but if eloise actually wanted to participate in the festivities, well, she wasn’t going to really argue. “anything for you.” she cooes, chasing the other and pressing a soft kiss to her lips. 

elodie wasn’t one to care too much for gossip, any whispers she might create didn’t really bother her too much. “i probably will, but i’ll behave and keep my mouth shut.” it’s the least she could do considering eloise so kindly agreed to dress up (down?) in such a revealing costume with her. 

“what’s got you so excited about this haunted house in the first place? it’s probably going to be lame.” 

eloise smiled against elodie’s lips. it isn’t hard to see how much the other always seemed to give in a little easier when the grad student was involved, but of course that eloise just assumes that’s because they’re friends, because they knew each other way back from beauxbatons when elodie was a freshmen herself and bullied her fellow classmates. or maybe it’s just because it’s one elodie’s whims, something she saw in elodie that made her consider the grad student someone worth of her less abrasive side. or maybe it was because eloise did give her a lot of fun times when she used to date in beauxbatons and they fooled around together.

either way, eloise isn’t complaining and as long as it’s working, she doesn’t need to know what it is anyway. 

“still. thank you.” she repeats, presses another kiss on elodie’s lips, but this time she lingers for a moment or two before pulling away. it doesn’t even pass through her mind that they might appear like a couple, especially considering how elodie is soft on her — she dares say —, but they both know it’s not the case and that’s enough.

eloise chuckles softly. “i’ll make it up to you since you’ll behave so nicely. you just did something i wanted to do, then i’ll do something you want to do.” she offers with a smile, taking a step forward when the queue starts to move.

“oh!” she exclaims excitedly again. if eloise were a real bunny (or werebunny?), her tail would be shaking like crazy. “it’s said that there are going to be real spirits in the haunted house and they’re not the same ghosts that haunt the campus. doesn’t it sound fun? maybe we could have a small chat, find out about their stories, how they died, why they’re still attached to the earth, why they’re so restless and all that.”
