Welcome to the Forest
Nestled into a grove in a verdant forest, itself the heart of an inter-dimensional nexus, sits an idyllic cottage. This is the Sojourn’s Rest, an establishment that patronizes those who are passing between dimensions, putting them up for a night, as well as providing refuge for those that has become lost in the Forest. Smoke drifts up from the stone chimney, and a warm light emanates from the windows, inviting you to come inside, to mingle with whomever may be inside, and to rest…
…Or, you could ignore it, and press on through the forest, in search of the portal which will bring you to your destined dimension. Just don’t get lost~
Guest Book bellow~
(Pictures of guests may be outdated!!! So hard to find film in the Forest!!!)
Residents of The Sojourner’s Rest
[A picture of an adorable woman is pinned here. Her vibrant red hair is luscious and long, flowing freely down her back to her waist. Her emerald eyes shine with enthusiasm, and a bright smile dimples full, lightly freckled cheeks.]
Lucy Loveless
110lbs., 5’4”, ?? y.o.
Human B&B Proprietress
Ayyy, lmao, it me, ya gurl! (I miss the internet so much). I figure if I’m going to take down information about my guests, it’s only fair I do the same for myself. I run the Sojourner’s Rest — which is actually my second, and much more successful B&B. I’ve just always liked taking care of other people, so this just seems like the job for me! I’m not exactly sure how I got here, or how long I’ve been here, but even if I could get home somehow, I don’t think I would go. I’m much happier here, and it’s not like there was anyone who’d miss me.
This one scares me… always hissing, always making noises that feel like swears… It’s like living with cat that hates you. A mean, hissing cat you really want to rub the belly of but it won’t let you. But instead of a cat, it’s a muscly frog lady, and instead of getting scratched by claws, you get run through by a giant silver sword. So, you know, it’s risk versus reward.
In the name of the Moon, she will punish you! Haha! Uh… Anyway, she really likes the whole ambiance of the cottage, she’s especially fond of the flower garden. She has a love for life I’ve seen before; the kind you only develop after years of not living.
She’s like a big teddy bear! A big, muscly, flaming teddy bear. And I don’t mean flaming as in, flamboyantly homosexual. (Although, c’mon, look at her) She’s literally flaming, there are little holes in her that fire comes out of, and her hair is also kind of fire? And not like, as in really cool and awesome. (Although, c’mon, look at her). It like, glows and is hot, but it doesn’t burn up. That all said, she’s a big sweetie who I bet is great for cuddling on a cold night~
I don’t understand how a person can just be mean. I get some people are mean, but to just be mean? Nothing else, and for no reason? I can’t imagine how a person ends up that way. She’s rude to the other guests, so full of herself, and gets violent at the drop of a hat. She is — and I never thought I would say this about a person — totally beyond any kind of redemption. And I want her to spit on me.
I never thought someone so small could be so intimidating… and I never thought someone so intimidating could be such a sweetie! Always in a chipper mood, compliments my cooking, offers to help out around the cottage (she’s very handy!), even plays music for free! She seems to be the one who resolves any conflict among her friends, using her words to make sure things don’t come to blows, but she’s not afraid to use her aforementioned intimidating presence to solve problems as well! Seducing them to make them docile also doesn’t seem to be off the table…
Dame Cynthia Hale
180lbs., 6’, 30 y.o.
Human LV 12 Oath of Ancients Paladin Zariel Tiefling LV 5 Fiend Warlock LV 7 Broken Oath Paladin
Dame Cynthia may just be one of the most polite guests I’ve ever had! So gallant and chivalrous, and dashing in that shiny heavy armor~ I guess I should expect nothing less from such a pious and selfless knight! A hero using her own body as a shield for the innocent! …Of course, Humans don’t have horns and tails, and Paladins don’t smell of sulfur, yet she wants me to believe that’s what she is? I’m not that naïve. I would not recommend bringing it up to her, though. She crushed a mug with her bare hand when I did, and she likes me!
Goodberry
135lbs, 6’2”, 269 y.o.
Wood Elf LV 12 Circle of the Moon Druid
Str:8, Dex: 14, Con: 16, Int: 8, Wis: 20, Cha: 12
Now this is a tricky one to keep track of! She’s a cat as often as she is an Elf, and a bear twice as often as that! When I asked her about her name, she said that she changed her name when she changed her real body’s look, and I guess if you can change your body as easily as you can change your name, why wouldn’t you? I would give myself extra arms to clean better… She’s a good guest, very mellow and good spirited, and would be a pleasure to be around if it weren’t for her… well, smell. It’s funny, of all the animals I’ve seen her turn into, a skunk is not one of them, but I always smell one when she’s around…
Maddison Murphy/‘Paunch Drunk Murphy’
200lbs., 5’7”, 42 y.o.
Human LV 8 Way of the Open Fist Monk, LV 4 Thief Rogue
So, I think she used to be called ‘Punch Drunk Murphy’, being that fighting drunk was her whole thing, but the ‘a’ got added when she developed a, well, paunch from all her drinking. Not much has changed there, though now she relies on throwing her weight around rather than using any strength, and nobody can hit her because she wobbles around so much. She’s… boisterous, let’s say. And very fond of her drink, obviously. I’d prefer it if she were less rowdy, but she’s not technically breaking any rules, so I can’t really do anything about it… Hard to believe she’s technically the oldest of her party. And a mother!
She’s the most level-headed and calm of her friends, and honestly? That makes her the scariest. She’s cold. Calculating. Charming Conniving. She knows what it takes to get what she wants, and she’s willing to do it. If helping will get her what she wants, she’ll help. If hurting advances her goals, she’ll hurt. It makes no difference to her. That kind of raw, self serving ambition never leads anywhere good. And everywhere she goes, an aura of death hangs over her… I swear I smell rot on her as well…
Definitely the most… unpredictable guest I’ve ever had. It’s almost like she doesn’t think about what she does, she just acts on impulse. That has to be it; I can’t think of a rational explanation for half the thing she does. One minute she’s cleaning her clothes, the next she’s setting them on fire. One minute she’s beating someone within an inch of their life, the next she’s kissing them (although that seems to be the common theme for this bunch). One minute, there’s light and life in her eyes, the next… someone else is in there…
She won’t come inside the cottage. Instead she sets up a tent outside whenever her group comes to visit. I respect a person who feels at home in the wild, forgoing the comforts and stresses of modern living in favor of a life in oneness with nature. And I’m especially impressed she hasn’t been claimed by the Forest. I just wish she wouldn’t ‘forage’ in my garden. At least she shares the meat from her hunting, but I bet it’s only because she thinks I’m a better cook than her…

Going to try and start casually doing tumblr again. I’ve become very isolated and need to start breaking out again. Just try to reblog some art and stuff. Won’t reblog anything NSFW on here because I have some followers who definitely did not follow me for that but may create a different sideblog for that at a later date.
Hey there, I hope you’re doing well and that you’ve had a happy holiday season
The warm glow of a fire can be seen coming through the window of cozy cottage’s comfy sitting room. And every other window, as well. A hole in the roof, billowing more smoke than the chimney…
I’ve been in a bad place mentally that is not really conducive to me doing stuff online for like. Really October 2023. But I just kept doing stuff like writing and trying to be active online until I fully burnt out some time in like August 2024 and just kind of stopped using social media, barely even talking to my friends. To the point that I don’t think I ever even made any mention (and she’s fine now before anyone worries) that my mom got breast cancer in September 2024. Like I only told like one online friend that.
And there’s a lot of anxiety now after so long. I never even really used this blog for what I wanted it for. Like this was the side blog for my kink roleplay blog so I could post stuff without annoying my partners with stuff like I did with my previous blogs. I barely ever even touched the roleplay, again because of the burnout that really started in October of 2023 and only became totally unmanageable August 2024.
I don’t know how to come back. I don’t know if I can.
"Ew, spicy? Man, you still got shit taste!"
Fellow adventurer Wool appears! Smiling brightly at the slightly chubby tiefling, strolling over and poking her nose, seemingly entirely unbothered by the heat
"Obviously, the finest food ever created has to be chicken curry"
This answer changes often, I fear
“Sounds like someone wants to get punted to the other side of Faerûn. There are better, less painful ways to fast travel, you know.” Karlach crossed her arms, looking none too amused by the insult, nor the poke.
Karlach! What's the best kind of food you've ever tasted?
“Wow, you lot are really coming at me with the difficult questions!” The tiefling chuckled, causing starter beer belly to bounce slightly but noticeably. “I’m some spicy sausage, especially with some sautéed onion and bell pepper! Don’t know if it’s my favorite, but sure sounds good right about now!”
Ahh Root beer, very good choice, if it’s carbonated to perfection then it’s sure to be spectacular, a good chill to the infernal engine.
“Exactly!” She exclaimed, happy that someone else understood! “Really cools em off. Especially when it’s got the white stuff floating in it. You know, it’s cold like ice, but soft and sweet?”
Karlach, what’s your favorite beer served at the tavern?
The large trifling reached up and scratched her head right by her horn. “Hells, how’s a girl supposed to choose? It’s all really good! But if you twist my arm… I’d have to say it’s this special kind served at this inn. I don’t know what it’s called, but I think I heard someone says it’s a beer made from root.”
"Good to be back, dude!" The proprietress held out an arm at full length and gave a thumbs up. "There's still some stuff I have to get in order, but I'm working on it!"
"Okay, I've started on some house keeping, and finally updated the #guestbook with picture of my guests from Faerûn! Film is hard to come by in the Forest, and my guests aren't always... photogenic, so it can be hard to keep the pictures up to date with any... physical changes that may happen to them."
Grishma grumbled as she marched her way through the woods, carrying her gear with her and looking over her map. “This tavern should be somewhere around here. This better be as good as that traveler said.” She said to herself as she finally arrived just outside of the bed and breakfast, looking up at the building with a grin as she tapped her coin purse. She recently got a big payday, and she planned on celebrating it.
(From @fatter-scrolls)
The building was a quaint, two story cottage, all on its own secluded in this forest. On the outside was a wooden sign that said “Sojourner’s Rest”. This was the place all right.
As Grishma entered the building, she had little time to take in how spacious yet cozy it was, as red haired woman in an outfit resembling that of a maid and a chef was in front of her. “Hello! My name is Lucy Loveless, and this here is my Bed & Breakfast! Were you interested in staying here?”
“Oh, yes!” Ghrishma nods as she enters, smiling at Lucy and waving hello. “I am interested in spending the night, and I have plenty of coin to pay for it!~” She says with a grin, tapping her coin purse and hearing her gold clink against one another. “How much would it cost for the finest bed here?”
“All the beds here are equally fine, and I won’t take any payment for it!” The hairless ape said to the upright lizard. “Just come over here and sign in to the guest book, then I can help you pick out a room with a bed that has the right amount of firmness for you!” She said as she walked around a counter, and opened up a big leather book.
“Oh? Really?” Grishma was surprised, but certainly wouldn’t complain. A free room, and it’s good quality? Well, that’s just a steal! “How do you keep this place open if you don’t charge anyone?” She asked with a chuckle as she walked over to the counter, leaning against it as she spoke with Lucy.
“Well, even if I did charge people, there’s not exactly any place around here to spend it!” Lucy smiled, like that didn’t just raise more questions than answers. Just where did she get all this stuff? Certainly she didn’t make everything there herself. She was only one woman.
Grishma blinked for a moment as she looked around before shrugging off her questions about the business. To be honest, it wasn’t the first time that she meant someone as eccentric as this innkeeper, and probably not the last with her line of work. “Well miss Loveless, my name is Grishma.” She said with a smile and a slight nod as she leaned against the counter.
(I’m so sorry it took me so long to continue! Today got hectic for me)
“A pleasure to meet you, Grishma!” Eccentric she may be, but she seemed to be the upbeat sort, plenty pleasant to be around. “All righty! Let’s go pick you out a room, shall we?” Lucy said once Grishma had been logged in the guestbook.
The Proprietress led her newest guest up the stairs to get her settled into a room with a bed off a firmness that was to her liking
“Ah, thank you so much miss Loveless. Are you sure I can’t repay you somehow? It feels weird getting this stuff for free, ya know?” Grishma asked as she set her backpack down and sat down on the bed, looking up at her hostess. She certainly didn’t have a problem taking the offer on the room, but not repaying her host somehow? That was something she couldn’t ignore.
The bed was just right for Grishma, supporting her just the way she liked it.
Lucy tapped her chin as she thought about what her scaly guest had said. “Well, I certainly don’t want you to feel uncomfortable during your stay. If it’s what you want, I’m sure I could drum up something for you to do to help me out…” She snapped her fingers as an idea came to her. “You look like you have strong arms and a good back! Would you be up to chopping some firewood for me at some point?”
“Oh, sure! I can handle that!” Grishma grinned and nodded, getting up and stretching a bit. “If you want, I can go get it done right now!” She eagerly said, flexing off her arms as if to prove Lucy’s point.
“Oh, that’s quite all right, there’s no rush! You can get to it in you own time.” Lucy gave a smile with a mirth that reached her eyes. “You should settle in before you go right into it, I think. You’re here to enjoy yourself, after all!”
“Oh, right. That’s a fair point.” Ghrishma chuckled a bit and nodded, taking some time to make herself comfortable and to unpack her things. “So Lucy, what other services does your little inn offer?”
“Oh, pretty much anything! There’s a hot spring and clear lake if you feel like getting wet. If you’re hungry, I have a fully stocked kitchen, and I can make you anything from apple pie to zucchini bread! I also offer massages, have supplies for arts and crafts, have a big game room, and plenty of other stuff too!” Lucy had gone all out preparing her bed and breakfast, to give her guests as many opportunities to enjoy themselves as possible.
Grishma listened to all of the options and amenities Lucy described, surprised by how much was available. “Well, I suppose I could go for a bite to eat. What would you recommend?” She asked her host, curious what she would have in mind for her guests.
Lucy hemmed and hawed, trying to come up with something for her guest to enjoy. “Hard to say, since I don’t know your tastes, but I’m sure if you give me something to work on, I can whip you up something you’ll enjoy!”
“Hm.. how about something sweet then? Maybe some pie?” Grishma asked with a smile, hoping that she didn’t make it too obvious that she had a sweet tooth. “I would love to give that apple pie you mentioned a try!”
The eager proprietress clasped her hands together and nodded her head enthusiastically. “Absolutely! Maybe with some vanilla ice cream on top? It’s a popular combo where I come from! Oh, but I don’t want to push anything on you! I can get started on it now, and you can think about it!” The woman whipped around, and hurried for the kitchen on the floor below to get started on the pie.
Grishma chuckled as she watched Lucy run off, happy to see how excited the was. She took some more time to make sure everything was taken care of in her room before exiting it, looking for her host.
Grishma was able to follow her nose down to the cottage’s kitchen, and found the proprietress extracting a pie from one of two ovens. That was fast… “Ah, just in time! It just needs a few minutes to cool, then you’re free to dig in!” She said as she put the pie on windowsill.
Grishma was amazed at how fast Lucy was able to make the pie, but she certainly wouldn’t complain about it. “Oh, splendid! Thank you so much!” She smiled as she spoke with Lucy, leaning against a wall and waiting for the pie to cool. “So, do you have any other guests here?”
“People are always coming and going, but presently you’re my only guest, so you’ll have my total undivided attention!” If that thick leather guest book was anything to go on, she had quite the successful… well, not business, since she apparently didn’t change, but she wasn’t lacking for guests.
“Oh, I’m glad to hear that your little inn is so popular! I’ll try not to be too much trouble while I’m here.” She joked as she looked over at the pie, gently picking it up once it cooled off enough. “I can’t wait to try this!”
Lucy had gotten a carton of cold ice cream from the ice box, and had already gotten scoop out. “Have you decided if you’d like some ice cream with it?”
“Hmm… Well, ice cream is like frozen cream, but not frozen solid. It’s actually pretty soft. Like butter, but sweet!” Lucy put the scoop of white iced cream onto the big slice of apple pie for Grishma.
“Oh, it’s wonderful! Thank you!~” Lucy’s guest smiled more as she helped herself to another slice, not noticing just how much she was eating as she indulged her sweet tooth. “No wonder that guest book of yours is packed. A wonderful inn, and amazing food!~
“Awww! That’s so nice of you to say!” Lucy lived to take care of others. So long as she was doing that, she was happy. But to get all her hard work recognized, and praised? Oh, that was better that crack… she assumed. “You can have as much you want! Don’t even hesitate to ask if you want more, or something else! I want you to have the best vacation of your life!”
Oh! Well, alright!” Grishma nods and smiles before grinning at the rest of the pie, gradually helping herself to one slice after another of the sweet stuff. She didn’t seem to notice just what all the sugary slices of dessert were doing to her figure, as her belly began to soften and gradually grow from each slice of the stuff. “Mm~ Could I have some more please?”
“Absolutely!” Lucy’s smile never faltered as she kept Grishma topped off on sugary ice cream while she prepared a second, and then third pie for her. The food was delicious, but not very filling, despite the bloating it caused. Bloating that, while it had gone unnoticed by the scaly woman herself, the human had spotted, and was eager to see more.
