I don’t know if anyone has told him, but the creator of JoJo is a massive high fashion fan and his aesthetic is dripping in high fashion and he often directly references high fashion photos in his panels. But most of Araki’s readers don’t get his references. It’s like how most Star Wars fans aren’t super familiar with classical orchestral music.

So, when most people say he looks like a JoJo character, what they really are saying is that he’s a high fashion icon - only they don’t know to say it that way. It’s like when someone unfamiliar with classical orchestral music says something reminds them of Star Wars. It’s just lack of familiarity with the source material, that’s all.
