He was too focused on his rapid beating heart as the creature made its way closer to him, trying his best to calm his breath. He twitched his head as soon as he heard the word, clutching onto his chest.

Sue as in, legal proceedings? What the hell is this…?

It lets out a growl of annoyance before grabbing his face with one large, clawed, relatively human hand and drags him by the head.

He groans out loudly in pain, punching at the large hand that was dragging him, trying to resist as much as he could even though he found himself in a huge disadvantage. He heard the creature’s growl, some hint of annoyance, thinking that maybe the creature understood his language.

Get ready. I’m almost done with my work.

Emilia had been in the tower for a little while. She still is mostly quiet but talks to people she trusts. It’s about 3am and she hasn’t been able to sleep so she goes exploring around the tower. Her pyjamas are slightly too big for her and she holds her bunny tight in her arms for comfort and protection. She peeks her head around the corner curiously, she heard someone else awake at this time and was curious.

He tilts his head immediately at the small noises coming from the next room, his senses locking in on her before realizing it was just a kid. He stands up, putting on his red glasses so he wouldn’t startle her with her sightless gaze, crouching down at her level. “It’s very, very late, pumpkin. What are we doing awake?”

She shrugs before holding her bunny tighter, looking up at him to whisper “couldn’t sleep…” she didn’t wanna say she went exploring. She didn’t wanna get in trouble. She still wasn’t that used to being out of Hydra yet.

She keeps her gaze to the floor, a little nervous.

He hums, immediately sensing her nervousness and taking a small step back since he didn’t know how to calm down children; he never really interacted with many after leaving his orphanage. His head tilts at the sound of cotton being squeezed beneath the velvety fur, smiling softly as he realized that she was holding onto her stuffed animal. “And you’re still not sleepy, right?”

Matt says it more like a statement, his senses telling him that she wasn’t tired at all. “That’s alright. I’m not tired either.”

Her lips curve up slightly, easing up softly as he admits he’s not tired either. She doesn’t feel so alone now. Her child brain connects that he didn’t get it trouble for not sleeping so it must be safe. “It’s so quiet… it’s scary” she admits softly to Matt, still not used to the peace and quiet. It’s kind of offputting to be honest

He chuckles softly, standing up before sitting down on the nearest couch, putting away his cane. “It’s quiet?” He raised his eyebrow, smiling at the kid’s general direction. “What about… the sound of the tree behind us? You hear the leaves rustling, right?”

“Yeah but… but not really” it’s still too quiet for her liking. She climbs up on the couch too, cuddling her bunny closer and bringing her legs to her chest. Someone on the team gave a basic explanation of Matt’s abilities that a child could understand. “You like… hear really good though, so that’s not fair” she playfully grumbles

“Yeah, I guess you’d find it quiet. I don’t, I can hear many things right now.” He hums, scooting so he can give the kid as most of the couch space as he could. He raised his eyebrow at her words, letting out a slight chuckle. “Yes. I can hear great, I need it because I can’t see.” His smile widens as she says that it isn’t fair, shaking his head playfully. “You know what I think? I think it’s not fair that you can see very well.” He teased her, the wide smile on his face apparent as he stared into her general direction.

She frowns playfully in response to his teasing about her seeing “I wish I could hear really good… I have stupid powers” she grumbles, flopping against the couch. She gets a bit excited, gasping at her idea to ask “what can you hear right now that I can’t?”

“No powers are stupid, sweetheart. You have them for a reason.” He says softly, chuckling at her gasp and how excited she sounded when she questioned him on his hearing.

“I can hear… your heartbeat, Mr. Plushie’s heartbeat too. Uh, your eyes when they blink. I can hear a lot.”

Sienna blinks at that. "Maybe you have." She pulls from him a bit as she sighs. "Well. Just friends I guess."

He tilts his head, his hand coming back to his side as he heard his words, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. “I’m sorry, what?”

Sienna blinks as she shakes her head. "It doesn't matter. It honestly doesn't."

He hums, his face dropping slightly as he crossed his arms. “Sienna, my senses aren’t good enough for me to read your mind. All I can tell is that you’re upset with me and you don’t want to tell me.”

Matt grows a little bit more frustrated, trying to not show it whatsoever so she wouldn’t feel pressured or hurt. “Why would you say it doesn’t matter?”

"Matthew, there is nothing to it." She waves a hand. "Just another heart break, you're used to those right?" She taunted, her voice a bit frustrated even.

"I'm used to this one sided deal... It's nothing you have to worry about anyways .."

He winced as she waves a hand at him, the rest of his face making an expression that she clearly knew meant that he was hurt. He wraps his hand around her upper arm, a gentle and delicate grip as if she were made of porcelain.

“Is that what we’re gonna do? Hm?” He speaks, softening his tone and making it as calm as possible. “‘Cause of course, it’s so easy to taunt, complain and say vague jabs instead of actually wanting to sit down with me and talk it out.”

"What is there to talk about? Huh?" She lightly stares at him as she frowns. "We don't work beyond friends... We vaguely flirt and it's fine this way... Neither of us have to talk about anything..."

She lets him hold her arm, staring at him for a second as she eventually pulls it away. "Why, is there something you wanna say?"

“There is a lot to talk about, Sienna.” He maintained his calm tone of voice, his arm falling back to his side as she pulled it away, feeling the warmth of his hand from holding her skin.

“Yes. I do. You’re pushing me away; and I know that I’m nobody to complain about it, but I don’t like it. How you just… go on this monologue that I broke your heart, that we’ll never be anything. Is it because of your kids? Or is it just me? You know, maybe there is something to work out. You haven’t even given me the chance to try and invite you over, see if we can talk things out. Because with how you’re speaking to me? It seems like you have a lot you want to tell me.”

It's not really a trait derived from royalty, so much as it's a trait derived from finding fulfillment in taking care of oneself, being clean, and smelling nice.

What I mean is, you have the funds to purchase the best hygiene products out there. Also, I imagine there must be laboratories with the best of the best when it comes to formulation.

The trait also is incredibly important. I understand you, although I am picky with most products I use.

While that is true, the products I buy are cheap. I'm not spending anything over a hundred dollars on any toiletries or cologne.

My body wash is only five dollars.

I can’t help but envy you somewhat. I do have to invest some more when it comes to cologne, some of the cheaper ones have a very stinging alcohol scent or some other chemicals. I try to stick to the oil scents, they’re intense but gentler on my nose.

I suppose the price depends on where you get your scents from.

Oh, I never thought about that, Your Majesty. Does Wakanda utilize better quality ingredients for their products?

Yes actually. We have good agriculture and we don't really use a lot harsh chemicals so I get most of my toiletries from home. And no I don't get a king discount, that's not a thing.

The first time I bought something scented here in America it gave me a rash, so I just sent it to a perfumer I know so she could recreate it and send it back.

Some fragrances I’ve smelled here do utilize synthetic aroma chemicals as a way to save money, but they sure are very potent, at least for me. I imagine that was probably what gave you the rash?

What is your fragrance review on Delina Exclusif Parfum by Parfums de Marly?

I hear a lot of men like it but with your refined tastes what do you think?

I do not like the top notes. They overwhelm me somewhat, I think it’s a bit too sour and sweet for my taste. By sour and sweet, I mean like the mixture of grapefruit, pear, bergamot and others.

Once it dries down I do find it more comfortable. I like the turkish rose very much and how well it combines with agarwood. (rose + wood are one of my favorite perfume combinations).

I don’t like the evernyl. It is very potent for me and for its price point, I believe that they could’ve looked for some different synthetic fragrances.
