So for context, I'm from russia, and I'm extremely new to marxism, i only started reading Marx's works very recently. I've tried engaging with commieblr, and I'm really confused why most people (mainly MLs and Maoists from what I've seen(?)) seem to support russia? I just personally don't understand those people, i didn't support russian invasion from the start because i thought it was only harmful, and now i still think I'm right because it turned out to be mostly harmful for both Ukrainians and Russians, and i think it's mainly Russia's responsibility to withdraw the troops and start peace talks (apparently putin had an opportunity to start peace talks relatively recently, he just didn't take it).
Maybe i don't understand something, but i just don't vibe with those people, and idk what to do. It feels kinda isolating from the rest of the commieblr

1. Not complicated, just Russian nationalism inheriting soviet symbology, if you're from Russia you already understand it.
2. Something something Russia's victory is somehow advantageous for this or that country in south Asia, middle east or Africa, idk how I'm white.
3. Not actually a support for Russia in any moral or virtuous sense, just a very high focus on criticising Ukraine and it's Western and NATO support, may seem like they're supporting Russia just because they think criticising Russia is redundant and Ukraine has too many uncontested cheerleaders.(I'm kinda this)
4. Those who just want the war to win sooner rather than later and think that Russia is most likely to win anyway. (Sometimes i think I'm also kinda this but it's not a very educated thought)
There may be some broad overlaps with additional oddities (orthodoxy, Donbas genocide belief, old style antisemitism etc)
And sometimes it's just an allegation Ukrainian nationalists throw to any kid who's not as fanatic as them.
Also ,as a Russian opposition, you have to be incredibly foolish to expect your government to ever withdraw from a war on it's own accord under any conditions. This is your life forever now.
